• Started off as a Regional Screen Agency • Publicly funded – UKFC / NWDA / Local Authorities /

Skillset / European Funding• Merged with Media Training NW in May 2007• Were responsible for Film, TV, Games, Digital and

Radio• Took on wider remit for all creative and digital

industries in October 2008• Re-launch 2nd April 2009

• In 2007 – 08 contributed £6.48 million in GVA through investment in 50 companies• Invested in over 87 SMEs in Greater Manchester alone safeguarding £10.4 million

of sales• Had over 846 filming enquiries through our Film Offices 08-09• Generated est £48 million inward investment through Film Offices• Assisted 13 dramas in Manchester during 08-09• Launched first ever TV Advanced Apprenticeship in Media Production • Give out over £300k of funding to film festivals / archive and events
