Director/producer: The Director/producer is the driving creative force in a film's production. Coming up with ways to improve the film whether that be the style of performance from the actors right down to the minor details of how the set is laid out ad set up. The director is the top dog of the film in a way because he gets the final word in everything that goes on in the film.

Celebrity Booker: The Celebrity Booker contracts the celebrity performers/actors to star in the film/production/tv series . The Celebrity Booker follows viewer trends to ensure that the most popular celebrities are chosen and asked to star/ feature in it. he or she also works with talent agencies to discover new budding young talent to give them a chance to make it big

runner: the runners job is Looking after the celebrities and the actors on set. they also look after the director producer and make up designers

TV Industry

Television: an electronic system of sending images and sounds by a wire or through space which programs are broadcast by television.

Examples of tv channels: BBC 1,2,3,4 , channel 4, itv, sky ect…

Governing body for tv is Ofcom. Ofcom is funded by fees from industry for regulating broadcasting and communications networks, and grant-in-aid from the Government.

History of the tv: Inventors from all over the world had been working on transmitting pictures onto a screen since the 1830’s, but the first physical television didn’t evolve until the 1900’s. Five men became the most popular and prestigious inventors of what we know today as television, giving the history of TV a rich beginning.

Agent: Agents find work for their clients, cultivating relationships with industry decision-makers in order to persuade them to take their clients on. Much of their time is spent establishing and maintaining relationships, using contacts to source work. Camera Assistant (Portable Single Camera):Camera Assistants offer general support to the camera department, carrying out simple tasks such as collecting camera equipment from a hire company, and delivering messages to the production office. Boom Operator (TV):TV Boom Operators control the long boom arm, either handheld or dolly-mounted (on wheels) with the microphone attached, manoeuvring it as close to the action as possible without getting it in shot, in order to achieve the best quality sound recording.

The Walking Dead is a tale of survival, horror, and deep human emotion set in a post apocalyptic setting. This isn’t your normal zombie tale, rather it is the tale of humans struggling to survive from their new situation and each other. The story is gripping, well paced, and holds nothing back. Radio Industry

Radio: The transmission and reception of electromagnetic waves of radio frequency, especially those carrying sound messages.

Brief history of the radio: The radio has been the first device to allow for mass communication. It has enabled information to be transferred far and wide, not only nationally wide but internationally as well. The development of the radio began in 1893 with Nikolai Tesla’s demonstration of wireless radio communication in St. Louis, Missouri. His work laid the foundation for those later scientists who worked to perfect the radio we now use. The man most associated with the advent of the radio is Guglielmo Marconi, who in 1986 was awarded the official patent for the radio by the British Government.

Radio Presenter: Radio Presenters are the voice of a station or programme, whether they work in speech-based or music Radio. They create the tone and style of radio output and establish a relationship with listeners. Radio Producer: Radio Producers create programme content and manage the whole production process for both live and recorded radio programmes. They must generate original ideas, identify suitable ideas from others, and carry out thorough research.Radio Marketing Executive: Radio Marketing Executives undertake a wide range of activities to market the services and products of a radio station, or group of stations, to existing and potential listeners and clients.

Wave 105 is a UK regional commercial radio station broadcasting across East Dorset, South Hampshire, Isle of Wight and parts of West Sussex and Wiltshire. Playing a mix of adult contemporary music, it combines presenter-led shows with local news and information, entertainment guides and competitions. The Station forms part of the Bauer Place Portfolio. Almost its entire output is locally produced.Wave 105 began broadcasting on 14 June 1998. News is provided by Wave 105's local news team in conjunction with Sky News.

Copy Editors: Copy editors typically gets reporters' stories after they have been given an initial edit by assignment editors. They edit stories and often also write headlines and do layout. The Publisher:The publisher is the top boss, the person overseeing all apsects of the paper on both the editorial (news) side of things as well as the business side.
