In addition to great patient and donor family care, the Donor Resource Team at MCHS Franciscan in La Crosse does a remarkable amount of outreach for donation awareness. From attending donor family events, to staffing Donate Life information booths, to co-hosting a donor remembrance ceremony, this team creates and encourages ripple effects throughout their community.

Local kidney/pancreas recipient celebrates his 25th transplant

anniversary by donating comfort bags for organ donor families. The

bags are filled with toiletries, snacks, puzzles, fuzzy socks,

blankets, etc. to help ease the stress of losing a loved one.
