    Goods Movements

Does anyone have some kind of cheat sheet or brief summary of when to use what goods

movement screens? We have MIGO, MBST, MB1A, MB1B, and MB1C. Each TCode has its own

selection of movement types available to use, but sometimes we cant find a certain movement type

in any of them (652, trying to reverse a 651) and we are not sure if it is better to reverse a movement

or just cancel the original material document. I understand some are for issues and some for

receipts as well as moving dollars instead of just inventory. I think most of the confusion lies within

reversals or interfacing with other systems.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ok, but how do we know when to reverse a movement or cancel a movement

(material document)? Like 651 movement. Should we cancel or reverse

it? How do I access 652 in MIGO?

    Hi,

The reason for the non existence of the movement type 651 and 652 are that they are triggered by

SD-transactions. Generally I use the migo, but if I have a lot of materials I use one of the other

transactions. For cancelling goods movements I very often use the mbst, but it depends on the

business process. For return deliveries to vendor the best way is to us e migo, for cancelling

    delveries te vl09.

SAP wants everybody to use the enjoy transaction migo, which should cover all requirements of

goods postings, but it does not. The old ones sometimes much better.

    Kind regards

    Robert

technically - MIGO and maybe MBST(if required) should be all you need! MIGO covers MB1A-C

etc.. dont really need to use those outdated screens.Top
