THE RITZ-CARLTON, ST THOMAS
U.S. VIRIGIN ISLANDS
WELCOME
Dear Exhibitors,
On behalf of the Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development, I am pleased to invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual Mayo Clinic Convergence
Neuroscience that will take place on November 7-9, 2019 at the Ritz-Carlton in St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Neuroscience convergence calls for groups within the biomedical, life sciences, physical science, engineering and other fields to come together to solve unmet health
needs. This conference aims to bring together various scientists with the aim of discovery of education gaps inherent to one’s own discipline as well as the potential
for creative collaboration in shared problem solving. The course is designed to provide cutting edge medical knowledge for neurologists, neurosurgeons,
neuroscientists (PhD), chemists and physicists (physical science), and engineers (mechanical, electrical, software, and health care). Also newer scientific fields are
emerging that are key to convergence in health care including health information technology (IT), informatics, artificial intelligence and machine learning experts.
The program will focus on both basic and advanced topics and will cover scientific principles and cutting edge Neuroscience research, including updates in
neuroinflammation and regenerative medicine, genetics, neurostimulation for neurological diseases, brain machine interfacing, machine learning, neuropsychiatric
circuits, neurorehab and neural prosthetics. The faculty will discuss new therapies that are available, and interpret the impact of recent clinical trial data on clinical
practice as well as emerging precision medicine practices.
