Leadership and Service DesignThe Master’s Degree Programmes in Leadership and Service Design answer the constantly growing competence requirements and needs in design, businesses and working life. Design thinking, business and society are combined in the profile of the programmes and the focus is on the area of service design.

To learn to design, develop and implement the tasks by sharing information and communication in collaboration with the customers and stakeholders belong to the main

objectives of these programmes. The different professional

and cultural backgrounds of the students will enable a dynamic and interactive learning

environment.

Generic and programme specific competences• Perceives the possibilities that design and service design

enable a holistic and interdisciplinary approach in the context of developing business and society

• Develops one’s approach to problem solving, innovativeness and creativeness through design thinking

• Practices and shares expertise in teams and networks from different disciplines and cultures

• Creates and manages professional networks• Considers the cultural, social, economic and ecological

aspects of sustainable development and understands how they may be interrelated

Master of Culture and Arts• 1.5 years / 60 ECTS• 10 starting places• Former degree: e.g. Bachelor of Culture and Arts, designer,

formgivare (YH) in Swedish or muotoilija (AMK) in Finnish

Master of Business Administration • 2 years / 90 ECTS• 6 starting places• Former degree: e.g. Bachelor of Business Administration,

tradenom (YH) in Swedish or tradenomi (AMK) in Finnish

Eligibility to apply to this programme is conferred by an appropriate UAS Bachelor’s degree or another appropriate higher education degree and at least three years of subsequent work experience in a relevant field. A qualified applicant also has good proficiency in the English language. Student selection will be carried out on the basis of an entrance examination. All applicants must also submit a pre-task.
