MASSES FOR THE WEEK CALENDAR CALL
If your organization or ministry is plan-
ning to have meetings or events on the parish
grounds or in a parish building during the Sep-
tember 2017 through August 2018 calendar
year, a Facility Requisition Form must be filled
out and submitted to the Rectory Office. IT CANNOT BE
FILLED OUT VIA THE TELEPHONE. Facility Requisi-
tion Forms can be picked up at the Rectory. AT THE INSIS-
TENCE OF THE DIOCESE OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE,
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT NO GROUP OR ORGANI-
ZATION WILL BE ABLE TO SCHEDULE THEIR
EVENTS UNTIL WE HAVE AN UPDATED ROSTER OF
VOLUNTEERS FROM THEIR GROUP, AND EVERY
PERSON ON THAT ROSTER HAS HAD A BACK-
GROUND CHECK AND ATTENDED A VIRTUS SES-
SION.
Rectory hours can be found on the cover of the bulle-
tin. Remember, even though you filled out a form last year, it
was only good for that calendar year. Therefore, you must fill
out a form for this coming calendar year.
Your cooperation in this matter will enable us to
keep an accurate schedule of all our facilities.

RESPECT LIFE…
Pregnant and Afraid? —Call outreach program to provide assistance for an unex-
pected or crisis pregnancy call 1 (855) 301-4CHS (Catholic
Health Services of Long Island) or visit www.chsli.org/
pregnancy-support-services.
—Call the 24-hour National Hotline 1-800-712-HELP (4357)
or visit OPTIONLINE.ORG for Pregnancy Options & Re-
sources.
—A woman or couple facing an unexpected pregnancy may
feel anxious and overwhelmed, with a multitude of worries. It
may be a single woman who had very different plans for her
future, a teenager wondering how she will tell her family or a
couple already struggling to make ends meet. All too often,
those in this situations feel pressure from friends, family mem-
bers and others to terminate their pregnancy.
In these circumstances, it may seem as if abortion is
the only option. Organizations offering prolife alternatives are
currently less coordinated than abortion providers, who extend
what appears to be an easy solution. However, the truth is that
there are many resources available to help expectant mothers
and their families.

TIME, TALENT & TREASURE
This Week’s Stewardship of Time and Talent
In gratitude for God’s gifts of time and talent to use, we grate-
fully salute our OLP School Parents’ Association & Devel-
opment Committee.
Stewardship Thought for the Week
Seeing Jesus Transfigured made Peter want to do something to
mark the event. But the Voice from the cloud said clearly that
the first task of those who recognize Jesus as Lord is to listen
to Jesus - and then act!

GENNESARET A RETREAT EXPERIENCE FOR THE SERIOUSLY ILL
September 22nd, 23rd, & 24th, 2017
“After making the crossing they came ashore at
Gennesaret...the crowds scurried...to bring in the sick…
to the place where they heard He was…”
Mark 6:53
THE CARE:
Many gentle and attentive volunteer health care professionals are available to you during
the weekend to help see that your medical needs are met. Along with our priest and medical
team, additional volunteers are there to assist you to help make your weekend comfortable.
THE PLACE:
Montfort Spiritual Center is located in Bay Shore, New York on the south shore of Long
Island. It is situated on the Awixia Creek and Pond and is surrounded by fields and meadows.
It is a place of quiet and reflection that both nurtures and renews one’s spirit. It is fully accessi-
ble to the handicapped and we can provide some equipment that you may need during the
weekend. There are semi-private bedrooms with views overlooking Montfort’s spacious prop-
erty. The Chapel is beautiful and peaceful.
THE PROGRAM:
The retreat weekend schedule is designed to celebrate the love of the Lord,
Jesus Christ through prayer times, talks by our priest directors, quiet time and ample periods
of rest. It begins on Friday afternoon at 1:30PM and ends early Sunday afternoon. There is
time for sharing, celebrating, prayer — together and alone.
THE DETAILS:
There is no cost to you for this retreat. Expenses are paid through the generosity of
individuals, parishes and church communities who value retreat experiences.
Detailed directions are available by calling us. And, as we already stated,
it is conveniently located on Long Island’s south shore.
If you would like to make the retreat, contact us at the number listed below. We will be
happy to talk to you about your needs and help plan for your retreat.
