I Am the Resurrection and the Life
Emily Jean SharpEmily was born September 17th, 1982. She was a devout
Catholic, her faith was inspiring to all who met her, her
kindness was immeasurable, she was a loving wife and mother,
her children were truly the light of her life. Emily is survived
by her loving husband Charles of nearly 17 years, their
children Lucy, Matthew, Noah, Ruby and Elijah, her loving
parents Gary & Jeanne Mizell of Kansas City, KS, her siblings
Anne Verhulst (Bobby), Kate Kling (Ryan), Rebecca Rebout
(Matt), Mike Mizell (Ashley), many nieces & nephews that
she loved dearly, and countless extended family members. She
was preceded in death by her Grandparents Arthur & Rita
Porterfield and James & Mildred Mizell.
Emily will forever be remembered for her true faith in God,
and for her love of family & friends. We are all blessed to have
known this kind, compassionate and remarkable woman.
She was loved and respected by all. Emily’s gift to us was her
example. We challenge you to #LiveLikeEmily.
Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations
can be made to: Cornerstones of Care KCK (Foster Program)
or Advice & Aid Pregnancy Center.
