The Local Offer• Children and Families Bill, Part 3 –

a duty on all local authorities to publish details of services and provisions in the area to support families with a child or young personwith a special educational need and/or a disability (SEND)

• “One-stop shop” - bring together in one place all of the information about SEND. It will cover education, health, social care, transport and leisure activities.

Who is it for?

• Parent carers of children and young people with SEND.

• Practitioners and professionals.

• Every local authority has to do this by September 2014.

•Some information is already out there but it is in different places, can be hard to find and may be out of date.

•A website but there will be help for those without access to the internet.

•It will be “co-produced” with local families.
