Pilot project – Oslo municipality: Care + Making use of technology in assisted living facilities

BackgroundAn aging population and fewer hands at work calls for new solutions!

Preliminary resultsDialogue with the market inspired new and innovative ideas for the municipality.

The specification was much more needs-oriented and functional than if they had completed a traditional process.

Suppliers have also gained new insights into the needs and opportunities and increased their competitiveness through this cooperation and development.

Preliminary resultsNAV has gained knowledge of existing technology and services to best meet these needs

NAV initiated a design competition in 2011 in one of the areas where there were unsolved needs.

- Wanted the best hearing technology available for users

- User group representatives were invited into the procurement team

Supplier conference and market research revelead that the challenge was really twofold

Solution available for parts of the need. Initiated a design competition in one of the areas where the market could not meet the needs.
