It sounds like a single note has been produced into a full range of different notes and sounds and then pieced together to create a melodic tune, this tune also has a backing made of other sounds which are repeated in different areas. The different notes and sounds have been pieced together very effectively to create an environmental yet classical, retro, 8-bit soundtrack. The single note will have been through many edits like tone change or pitch change or even making it rougher etc. To create the millions of sounds that is used throughout. The soundtrack fits very well into different areas of the ground with the order being:- 1. Overworld. 2. Underworld. 3. Underwater. 4. Castle. 5. Sharman. 6. Level Complete 1. 7. Level Complete 2. 8. Hurry Underground. 9. Hurry Underwater. 10. End Credits. 11. Game Over. If you play them in that order while in the game the different sections fit into the environment like a nice melodic tone for the higher ground to a faster paced tone when closing in on a main enemy in a castle. I think this soundtrack is fully suitable to the target audience for this game being generally anybody of any age. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/KPtk3zAmwNk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> The SFX’s throughout the game also sound like edits of this one note eg. For the jump it sounds like it may have been dragged out a bit and the pitch may have been edited from the beginning to the middle then to the end.
