Announcements:

Figurative Language: Onomatopoeia

-a word, which imitates the natural sounds of a thing. It creates a sound effect that mimics the thing described, making the description more expressive and interesting.

*Testing Information*

Spelling- Students will need to know how to spell the word correctly AND understand the meaning of the affix.

Vocabulary- Students will need to know the definitions of each word. They also need to be able use the words correctly in context and match definitions. Some words will not have been studied, but students will use context clues to figure out the meanings.

Reading- Students will be allowed to use their weekly book on each reading comprehension test.
