Obesity is a world wide issue affecting many people out in our society. Professional Interest

Obesity is increasingly becoming an important public health concern among all age groups, which is associated with numerous health effects (Silihu, 2009).

60 percent of the U.S population does not participate in physical activity

More than 19 million Americans are overweight and obese in this country (Doane, 2010). What is the problem?

Obesity has been going on for two decades.

300,000 deaths each year in the U.S are attributed to obesity (Stein, 2004).

Obesity affects our society by contributing to multiple elements of health and well-being (Cavasos, 2011).
