To whom it may concern, María Valera Garrote has developed her Thesis Project under the supervision of my chair colleague Marcelo Ruiz Pardo. Still being a university activity, in Spain this Project is really a first professional practice.

Through this period, her performance has been more than the expected from a capable and hard-working student, permanently showing great interest in adquiring new knowledge and proficicency and researching in everything useful for the Project and for her future technical carreer. Theprojectposedthechallengeofrestoringandrehabilitatingapracticallydesertedvillage,exceptMr.LuisGarcíawhohasthehonourofbeingit’sonlyinhabitant,throughahousingprogram.

Undertheassumptionthatacircuscompanywouldmoveintolivethere,thecolonizationofthevillageofBujalcayadoisgeneratedwiththepretensionofusingthesamemodelsofimplantationthatthisarthas

beenusingtraditionallybytheappropriationoftheinsidepartoftheruinsasaspaceforthehouseswhicharetheirpersonalrehearsalspacesand,atthesametime,apublicspacetoaccommodatesporadicshows.

Finally,theruinsthatcan’tbeclassifiedasanyoftheaforementionedarerestoredandrehabilitatedascommunityspaceswhichconcludetheshapingofthisparticularlifestyle.

suitableplaceforthestreetlifethathasbeenlost.

Usingthesurplusinscaffoldingmaterialbecauseoftheconstructioncrisis,thereare4routsgeneratedwithdifferentthemesandsingularobjectsinthem.

Thankstothecheapandlightweightmaterialandtotheworkmanshiplivingintheneighbourhoodwheretheunemploymentistoohigh,itwouldbetheneighboursthemselveswhowouldcarryouttheproject.

Theprojectconsistedoftheconstructionof15housingfortemporaryresearchersinthegreenhouseareaoftheFacultyofVeterinaryoftheComplutenseUniversityofMadrid,besideManzanaresRiver.

Theideawastoincorporatethegreenhouses,baseofthestudyoftheseoccasionalresearchers,totheireverydaylife.Therefore,throughthethreemodulesthatarethelivingroom/kitchen,thebedroomandthebathroom,thehouseisformedstartingfromtheadhesionofthefirsttoagreenhouseandtheposterior

adhesionoftheotherstoit.

Itisintendedtoformasymbiosisinwhichbothgreenhousesandhousinggetthebestoftheirunion.

Theprojectfocusesontheintroductionofaresidentialbuildinginatriangularlotwithapre-existingbuil-dingthatexposestwohugepartywallsbesidetheWisłaRiverinthecityofKraków.

Thelocationisperfectalthoughtheconditionsnotsomuch,thereforetheprojectstartsbeingakindof‘Tetris’wherethepieceswanttofitnaturallyandgenerate,betweenthemselves,communityspaceswhere

anyonecanenjoytheviews.
