The team is getting by hoping things work outUnder functioning:
Over functioning: Self-involved, closed, isolated
Functional: Doing what needs to be done to break through a crisis
with single focus

2. RELATIONSHIPS
Disregards the importance of people coming together
and forming the team to achieve results
Under functioning:
Over functioning: All about teamwork at the costs of results
Functional: Accepted as part of a community that contributes

3. POWER
No initiative, constantly waiting to be told, and even when
they’ve done it once, has to be told again for next time
Under functioning:
Over functioning: Over reliance on dominance and power over others
Functional: Uses ability to influence and give certainty and a path forward
for others to follow.

4. SYSTEMS
Disregards protocols and sees themselves independent of the
norms and ethos of the business

Over functioning: Over reliance on systems at the expense of thinking
Functional: Uses structure to drive home replicable and sustainable
practices

Treats business like a club where salary magically appears every
month on time regardless of personal contribution; may see
themselves as ‘owed’ and resent performance reviews

Over functioning: Results for everything so no natural flow to conversation for
exploration
Functional: Multiplistic ways to achieve results

6. MISSION
Disregards the mission and values when under pressure or doesn’t
link their tasks to the mission and values
Under functioning:
Over functioning: Over reliance on their living the mission so judgmental of most
others
Functional: Links what we do with why we do it all the time
