You can find 18 different varieties of apples grown in WI. There are about 2,500 apple varieties grown in
the U.S. and more than 7,000 world-wide!!
The average person eats 65 apples (about 22 pounds) per year!!
There are 46 apple orchards in Wisconsin’s 72 counties
Talk about other ways to eat apples: add chopped apples to oatmeal or pancakes, eat them sliced with
peanut butter or sprinkled with cinnamon, dried or baked apples, apple juice & apple sauce (although not
as healthy as a whole apple),
Always eat the whole apple,. The skin of the apple provides the most nutrients for our bodies (which is
also true for other fruits & vegetables.)
