In questo manuale vengono esposte le modalità operative e le istruzioni riguardanti l’attrazione e le unità passeggeri, nonché le prescrizioni che è necessario osservare per svolgere tutte le operazioni riguardanti sia l’impiego che la manutenzione dell’attrazione in condizioni di sicurezza. 0.2 GUIDA ALLA LETTURA DELLE ISTRUZIONI PER L’ATTRAZIONE I manuali di istruzione per uso e manutenzione corredano l’attrazione e l’unità passeggeri, e ne costituiscono parte integrante. Il Costruttore, nelle varie fasi di progettazione e costruzione, ha adottato tutte le prescrizioni, le protezioni e le avvertenze per garantire la sicurezza delle persone, dell’ambiente e delle cose. Le istruzioni del seguente manuale contribuiscono a garantire la sicurezza dell’attrazione, mettendo gli operatori in condizioni di eseguire correttamente ed in sicurezza i compiti assegnati. Un uso scorretto dell’attrazione, una sua cattiva manutenzione, possono pregiudicare il raggiungimento dello scopo principale dell’utilizzo dell’attrazione, ovvero “IL DIVERTIMENTO IN SICUREZZA”.

In this manual you can find the operation methods and the instructions about the amusement device and the passenger units and also the directions that shall be observed in order to carry out safely all operations related to the use and maintenance of the amusement device. 0.2 GUIDE FOR ATTRACTION INSTRUCTIONS READING Operating and maintenance instruction manuals are part of the ride and passengers units. The Manufacturer, in the various design and manufacture stages, took all measures, precautions and followed all directions to guarantee the safety of people, environment and things. The instructions of the following manual contribute to guarantee the safety of the amusement device, so that the operators are able to carry out safely and correctly the task they were entrusted with. The misuse of the amusement device, its poor maintenance can prejudice the achievement of the main purpose of the use of the amusement device, that it Is to say “THE SAFE FUN”.

CAPITOLO 1 INFORMAZIONI E AVVERTENZE GENERALI 1.1 AVVERTENZE GENERALI DI SICUREZZA Tutte le persone addette dovranno fare ogni sforzo per capire le caratteristiche dell’attrazione di cui sono responsabili, includendo ove necessario la lettura e coordinamento delle pertinenti istruzioni di funzionamento e dei rapporti sui controlli. La sicurezza di un’attrazione può essere ottenuta tramite: la comprensione delle proprie mansioni e

responsabilità generali; l’esecuzione di controlli periodici; un sicuro funzionamento; un’adeguata sorveglianza.

ATTENZIONE Prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione sull’attrazione, il proprietario, il controllore, gli operatori, i manutentori e i tecnici specializzati devono leggere attentamente le istruzioni contenute nel presente documento (e relativi allegati) e seguirle durante l’esecuzione delle operazioni. Esse contengono informazioni importanti per: la sicurezza delle persone addette al trasporto,

all’imballaggio, all’installazione, al montaggio e allo smontaggio, al funzionamento, all’uso e alla manutenzione;

la sicurezza e l’efficienza dell’attrazione; la sicurezza del pubblico.

ATTENZIONE Si raccomanda di eseguire una lettura attenta e ripetuta del Capitolo 3, che contiene importanti informazioni ed avvisi riguardanti la sicurezza, così come di tutte le avvertenze evidenziate nel manuale. Le avvertenze in materia di sicurezza vengono richiamate e/o ripetute nei punti del manuale in cui devono essere utilizzate.

CHAPTER 1 GENERAL INFORMATION AND NOTICES 1.1 GENERAL SAFETY-RELATED DIRECTIONS The whole staff shall make every effort to understand the nature of the attraction that they are responsible for, including, where necessary, reading and discussing the relevant operating instructions and inspection reports. The safety of an attraction can be achieved by means of: the understanding of one’s own duties and

general responsibilities; the execution of periodical checks; safe operation; proper surveillance.

WARNING Before carrying out any operation on the amusement device, the owner, the controller, the operators, the common maintenance staff and the engineers shall read carefully the instructions of this manual (and relevant enclosures) and follow them while carrying out the operations. They provide important regarding: the safety of the persons in charge of the

transport, the packing, the installation, the assembly and disassembly, operation, use and maintenance;

the safety and the efficiency of the amusement device;

the safety of the public.

WARNING It is recommended to read carefully and repeatedly Chapter 3, which provides important safety-related information and notices, as well as all other notices highlighted in the manual. All safety-related notices are referred to and/or repeated in the points of the manual where they need to be used.

In case of modifications, repairs, deepened inspections, and so on, it is necessary to consult and to refer to other documents such as: DESIGN CALCULATIONS; CONSTRUCTION METHODS; REPORTS AND DRAWINGS OF

STRUCTURES AND PLANTS; INSPECTIONS AND APPROVALS. THIS MANUAL CONTAINS SAFETY NORMALS FOR THE USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE AMUSEMENT DEVICE. THESE REGULATIONS NEITHER NULLIFY NOR REPLACE THE MANDATORY ONES OF THE PUBLIC AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTRY WHERE THE ATTRACTION IS INSTALLED AND USED. The Manufacturer reserves the right to communicate at any time all information considered useful, necessary or that has become compulsory, which can concern the attraction. Such information in the form of modification, updating or addition will be considered in all respects as an integral part of this manual. The Manufacturer reserves the right to introduce, without notice, all those modifications that he considers as suitable to improve the ride or the associated manual.





1.2 CONSULTAZIONE CONSERVANZE ED AGGIORNAMENTO DEL MANUALE In questa introduzione si descrive come rintracciare e usare le informazioni contenute nel manuale. Il manuale è scritto per mettere gli operatori in condizione di: conoscere le problematiche relative

all’attrazione; lavorare sull’attrazione e utilizzarla in

condizioni di sicurezza. 1.2.1 Conservazione del manuale

ATTENZIONE Le istruzioni per l’uso e la manutenzione sono misure di sicurezza. Il manuale, che le contiene, è parte integrante dell’attrazione ai fini della sicurezza. E’ PERTANTO OBBLIGATORIO CONSERVARE IL PRESENTE MANUALE, E TUTTI I DOCUMENTI ALLEGATI, IN UN LUOGO FACILMENTE ACCESSIBILE, SULL’ATTRAZIONE, E NOTO A TUTTI GLI OPERATORI E AL PERSONALE ADDETTO ALLA MANUTENZIONE. Il controllore, gli operatori, gli addetti e i manutentori devono poter reperire e consultare rapidamente, in qualsiasi situazione, il manuale e gli allegati. Il manuale di questa attrazione è composto dai volumi e dagli allegati. I volumi sono separati per facilitarne la consultazione, ma fanno parte integrante dello stesso documento. IL MANUALE E TUTTI I DOCUMENTI ALLEGATI SONO PARTE INTEGRANTE DELL’ATTRAZIONE AI FINI DELLA SICUREZZA, PERTANTO: -devono essere conservati con cura, integri (in tutte le loro parti), in ambiente protetto da umidità e calore eccessivi; -devono accompagnare l’attrazione in tutti i suoi passaggi fino alla demolizione (anche in caso di spostamenti, vendita o cessione a terzi a qualsiasi titolo, come prestito, noleggio, affitto, ecc.); -DEVONO ESSERE TENUTI AGGIORNATI; -DEVONO RIPORTARE LE EVENTUALI MODIFICHE APPORTATE ALL’ATTRAZIONE.

1.2 HOW TO USE, CONSULT AND UP-DATE THIS MANUAL This foreword shows how to find and use the information provided by this manual. The manual has been written to enable the operators to: be aware of the problems related to the

attraction; work on the attraction and use it in safety

conditions. 1.2.1 Preservation of the manual WARNING The instructions for use and maintenance are safety measures. The manual containing them is an integral part of the attraction for safety’s ends. THEREFORE IT IS COMPULSORY TO KEEP THIS MANUAL AND ALL ENCLOSED DOCUMENTS IN A PLACE WITHIN EASY REACH ON THE RIDE AND KNOWN BY ALL OPERATORS AND BY THE MAINTENANCE STAFF. The Controller, the operators and the maintenance staff shall be able to find and consult quickly the manual and its enclosures in any situation. The manual of this amusement ride consist of the volumes and enclosures. The volumes are separated in order to make easier the consultation, but they are all an integral part of the same document. THE MANUAL AND ITS ENCLOSURES ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE ATTRACTION FOR SAFETY ENDS, THEREFORE : -they shall be kept carefully, complete (in all their parts), in a protected place against excessive humidity and heat; -they shall follow the attraction in all its changes up to demolition (even in case of shift, sale or transfer to third party by any way, such as loan, hire, rent, and so on); -THEY SHALL BE UPDATED; -THEY SHALL REPORT THE EVENTUAL MODIFICATIONS INTRODUCED TO THE RIDE.





Maneggiare il manuale con cura, con le mani pulite evitando di depositarlo su superfici sporche. Non strappare, asportare o modificare, per alcuna ragione parti del manuale. Il Costruttore, su richiesta del cliente, può fornire ulteriori copie del manuale. In caso di deterioramento o smarrimento del manuale è obbligatorio richiedere una nuova copia, facendo riferimento alla matricola dell’attrazione. 1.2.2 Aggiornamento del manuale Aggiornamento del manuale da parte del costruttore in caso di modifiche all’attrazione già installata presso il cliente: L’aggiornamento del manuale, che compete al Costruttore, viene eseguito secondo la seguente procedura: Il Costruttore: modifica le parti interessate; consultando la lista di distribuzione del manuale

(conservata nei propri archivi) invia a ciascun possessore di manuale i capitoli che contengono le parti modificate (ciascun capitolo contiene l’indicazione del nuovo livello di revisione);

invia la nuova pagina iniziale e la nuova introduzione del manuale;

invia una scheda con le indicazioni per inserire in modo corretto i nuovi aggiornamenti nel manuale.

Il Controllore: elimina i vecchi capitoli e inserire i nuovi in

ciascuna copia del manuale posseduta; eliminare la pagina iniziale e l’introduzione

vecchie e inserire quelle nuove; conservare e archiviare i vecchi capitoli, in un

archivio storico, non consultabile direttamente, per evitare di confondere le parti sostituite con quelle nuove.

Handle with care the manual, with clean hands and avoid putting it on dirty surfaces. Do not tear, remove or modify any part of the manual for any reason. The Manufacturer, on the Customer’s request, can supply further copies of the manual. In case of deterioration or loss, it is compulsory to ask for a new copy referring to the part number of the amusement ride. 1.2.2 Updating of the manual Updating of the manual by the manufacturer in case of modifications of the amusement ride already installed at the costumer The updating of the manual, which is a Manufacturer’s duty, shall be done according to the following procedure: The Manufacturer: modifies the parts; after consulting the distribution list of the

manual (kept in his own archives) he sends to each manual’s owner the chapters containing the modified parts (each chapter contains the reference of the new revision level);

he sends the new initial page and the new introduction of the manual;

he sends a card with the information to be included correctly in the updated version of the manual.

The Controller: removes the old chapters and insert the new

ones in every copy of the proper manual; remove the initial and the introduction page and

insert the new ones; keep and record the old chapters in historical

archives, which are not directly accessible for consultation, in order to avoid confusion between the initial and revised portions.





Aggiornamento del manuale da parte di persone diverse dal costruttore:

ATTENZIONE

Tutte le modifiche devono essere espressamente autorizzate dal Costruttore. In caso di modifiche all’attrazione è indispensabile aggiornare il manuale, che ne costituisce parte integrante ai fini della sicurezza. Procedura da seguire per effettuare l’aggiornamento. Il soggetto, autorizzato dal Costruttore ad eseguire la modifica dell’attrazione e/o del manuale, compila una “scheda di modifica” che riporta: le operazioni eseguite; la data di esecuzione; il nome e la firma di chi ha eseguito la modifica; inserire la scheda tra gli allegati del manuale; nelle parti del manuale, interessate dalla

modifica, inserisce una nota di rinvio alla scheda;

invia al Costruttore la copia della scheda di modifica;

aggiorna il log-book dell’attrazione.

Updating of the manual by other persons except the manufacturer:

WARNING All modifications shall be explicitly authorised by the Manufacturer. In case of modifications of the attraction, it is essential to update the manual, since it forms an integral part of the attraction and its safe use. Procedure to be followed in order to carry out the updating. The person authorised by the Manufacturer to carry out the modification of the attraction and/or of the manual fills in a “modification card” containing: the works carried out; the carry out date; the name and the signature of who modify. To include the card in the enclosures of the

manual; In the parts of the manual, interested to the

modification, he includes a cross-reference into the notepaper;

he sends to the Manufacturer a copy of the modification card;

he updates the log-book of the attraction.





1.3 DESTINATARI DELLE ISTRUZIONI E LORO MANSIONI Per migliorare la comprensione ed evitare errori di interpretazione, si precisano di seguito i soggetti destinati a entrare in relazione, a vario titolo, con l’attrazione e le mansioni che sono autorizzati a svolgere. Le mansioni riferite a ciascun destinatario delle istruzioni (controllore, operatore, assistente, manutentori ordinari) possono essere svolte da un numero più ristretto di persone, purché esse abbiano la competenza professionale per le operazioni da eseguire. ATTENZIONE Si ricorda che tutti coloro che sono incaricati di operare sull’attrazione devono essere in possesso delle necessarie autorizzazioni e permessi, anche amministrativi (se richiesti). 1.3.1 Controllore Il Controllore è la persona che si incarica di eseguire, sotto la sua diretta responsabilità, la direzione, la supervisione e il controllo delle seguenti operazioni: trasporto; montaggio e smontaggio; azionamento e funzionamento con o senza

pubblico; manutenzione; controlli periodici e ispezioni; riparazioni e interventi sull’attrazione (solo

quelli previsti e consentiti in base al presente manuale).

Il Controllore è il responsabile della gestione dell’attrazione, e deve essere munito delle necessarie autorizzazioni amministrative che gli consentano l’esercizio della propria attività. Egli è tenuto a rispettare e a far rispettare tutte le istruzioni e le indicazioni contenute nel presente manuale. Il Controllore può essere identificato anche come Operatore nel momento in cui si trova a svolgere talune delle operazioni di cui alla definizione seguente.

1.3 STAFF CONCERNED THE INSTRUCTIONS AND THEIR DUTIES In order to improve the understanding and to avoid misunderstanding, we define precisely hereafter the persons working in different ways on the attraction and the duties they are authorised to carry out. The duties referred to every staff member concerned by the instructions (controller, operator, attendant, maintenance staff) can be carried out by a smaller number of persons, provided that they have the professional competence for the operations to be carried out. WARNING We remind that all those who are appointed to work on the attraction shall have the necessary authorisations and permits, even the administrative ones (if needed). 1.3.1 Controller The Controller is the person who undertakes to carry out, under his direct responsibility, the direction, supervision and control of the following operations: transport; assembly and dismantling; operation and functioning with or without

public; maintenance; periodical checks and inspections; repairs and interventions on the attraction (only

those planned and allowed according to this manual).

The Controller is responsible for the management of the attraction and he shall own the necessary administrative authorisations allowing him to exercise his duties. He has to observe and to enforce all instructions and directions of this manual. The Controller can also be identified as Operator when he carries out some of the operations in the following definition.





ATTENZIONE L’assegnazione dei compiti e delle competenze agli operatori, agli assistenti e ai manutentori deve essere fatta solo dal Controllore. Il Controllore deve: assicurarsi che tutte le istruzioni (testo e

illustrazioni) contenute nel presente manuale e quelle da lui impartite in esecuzione di esse, vengano comprese con chiarezza dagli operatori e assistenti incaricati di operare sull’attrazione;

assicurare un adeguato addestramento pratico e accertarsi, anche tramite prove, che gli operatori siano in grado di utilizzare in modo corretto e sicuro l’attrazione, sia in situazioni di funzionamento normale che in situazioni di emergenza;

verificare che i manutentori siano in grado di effettuare i loro interventi in modo corretto e sicuro, e che conoscano le modalità per richiedere le autorizzazioni previste dalle procedure di lavoro interne all’organizzazione del Controllore.

A tale scopo egli deve accertarsi che essi abbiano almeno le seguenti caratteristiche: cultura generale e tecnica di livello sufficiente

per comprendere il contenuto del manuale nelle parti che li riguardano e per interpretare correttamente disegni e schemi, simboli e pittogrammi e messaggi a video;

conoscenza delle principali norme igieniche, antinfortunistiche e tecnologiche;

WARNING The assignment of the duties and the jobs to the operators, to the attendants and to the maintenance staff, shall be conducted exclusively by the Controller. The Controller shall: make sure that all instructions (text and

pictures) present in this manual and all the ones he gives are clearly understood by the operators and the attendants appointed to the operation of the attraction.

provide a practical training and ensure, also by means of testing, that the operators can use the attraction correctly and safely both in situations of normal functioning and in emergency situations.

verify that the maintenance staff can carry out their operations correctly and safely and that they know how to ask for the authorisations required by the working procedures of the Controller’s organisation.

For this purpose he shall ensure that they have at least the following characteristics: sufficient standard of general and technical

culture to be able to understand the contents of the manual in the parts related to them and to comprehend correctly drawings and plans, symbols and pictograms;

knowledge of the main health, accident-prevention and technological rules;

overall knowledge of the attraction and disposal of the escape routes, of the safety-related systems, and so on;

specific experience in the management of attractions and amusement parks;

knowledge of the actions to take in case of emergency, capability to find the personal protection equipment (p.p.e.) and the fire-fighting equipment, and to use them correctly.





1.3.2 Operatore L’Operatore è la persona incaricata di eseguire materialmente le seguenti operazioni riguardanti l’attrazione: trasporto; montaggio e smontaggio; operazioni, con o senza pubblico; alcuni interventi di manutenzione ordinaria

espressamente previsti nel manuale; pulizia. Tali funzioni devono essere svolte con la supervisione e il controllo diretto del Controllore (se si tratta di soggetti diversi). 1.3.3 Assistente L’Assistente è la persona incaricata di svolgere determinate mansioni quando l’attrazione è aperta al pubblico. Egli è tenuto a eseguire puntualmente tutte le istruzioni che gli vengono impartite dal Controllore e dall’Operatore. 1.3.4 Manutentori Ordinari I Manutentori Ordinari sono operatori (tecnici) esperti, istruiti e autorizzati alla manutenzione ordinaria, ciascuno per le sue competenze (meccaniche o elettriche): Manutentori Meccanici: operatori esperti, istruiti e autorizzati per la manutenzione delle parti meccaniche, impianti pneumatici e oleodinamici. Manutentori Elettricisti: operatori esperti, istruiti e autorizzati per la manutenzione di parti e impianto elettrici e/o elettronici. Metodi sicuri di lavoro: La manutenzione ordinaria è definita e descritta nel Capitolo 5. Sulle attrazioni dovranno lavorare solo persone competenti in quanto debitamente addestrate, istruite o dotate di esperienza. Questo richiederà che esse abbiano un’adeguata conoscenza, esperienza del tipo di lavoro da svolgere e adeguata comprensione degli impianti su cui si trovano a lavorare, inclusi i pericoli associati, e la capacità di riconoscere se il lavoro può essere continuato in condizioni di sicurezza.

1.3.2 Operator The Operator is the person, whose job it is to carry out the following operations related to the amusement device: transport; assembly and dismantling; operation, with or without public; some operations of ordinary maintenance

explicitly foreseen in the manual; cleaning. These works shall be carried out under the immediate supervision and control of the Controller (if they are two different persons). 1.3.3 Assistant The Assistant is the person, whose job it is to carry out certain skills when the attraction is open to the public. He has to carry out all the instructions that the Controller and the Operator give to him. 1.3.4 Ordinary Maintenance staff The Ordinary Maintenance staff are expert operators (technicians), trained and authorised to conduct the prescribed maintenance tasks within their professional disciplines (mechanical or electrical): Maintenance Mechanics: expert operators trained and authorised to conduct the maintenance of mechanical parts, pneumatic and oil-pressure systems. Maintenance Electricians: expert operators trained and authorised to conduct the maintenance of electrical and/or electronic parts and systems. Safe working methods: The ordinary maintenance is defined and described in Chapter 5. Only qualified persons, properly trained or experienced shall work on the attractions. This will require that they have adequate knowledge, experience the type of work to be performed and adequate understanding of the systems on which they are to work, including the associated dangers, and the ability to recognize if the work can be continued in safety conditions.





Queste precauzioni includono l’impiego di adeguate apparecchiature di protezione e di collaudo, e di utensili adatti. I Manutentori Ordinari sono autorizzati all’installazione, utilizzo, manutenzione ordinaria e pulizia dell’attrazione. Mansioni in fase di uso: ripristino delle normali condizioni d’uso dopo

un arresto per avaria o emergenza, ecc.; controllo del funzionamento; esecuzione delle operazioni tipiche

dell’Operatore addetto al funzionamento e uso. Mansioni previste in fase di manutenzione: controllo dei particolari soggetti ad usura,

elencati nella manutenzione ordinaria, e loro eventuale sostituzione;

regolazioni e registrazioni; rifornimenti dei fluidi esauriti; lubrificazione e pulizia. Tali funzioni devono essere svolte con la supervisione e il controllo del Controllore (se si tratta di soggetti diversi). 1.3.5 Tecnico Specializzato Il Tecnico Specializzato è la persona specializzata, professionalmente idonea, addestrata e autorizzata a effettuare interventi di manutenzione straordinaria, riparazioni, sostituzioni, revisioni, che richiedono una particolare conoscenza delle tecniche e delle modalità di intervento. Opera in base alle direttive del Costruttore o del centro di assistenza autorizzato. Operazioni autorizzate in fase di uso, manutenzione, montaggio e/o smontaggio: interventi di riparazione di guasti elettrici e/o

meccanici; sostituzione di parti rotte o deteriorate; sostituzione di componenti di sicurezza; eventuali interventi sulla parte elettrica

(necessari solo in caso di avaria); tutti gli interventi tipici dei Conduttori e dei

Manutentori Ordinari.

These precautions include the use of suitable protection and test equipment and of suitable tools. The Ordinary Maintenance Staff is authorised to install, use, maintain and clean the attraction. Duties during the operation: restoring the normal use conditions after a

shutdown because of a breakdown or an emergency, etc.;

checking the operation; carrying out the typical jobs of the operator

appointed for the operation and use. Duties planned for during the maintenance: check of the parts subject to wear and tear,

listed in the preventative maintenance, and arranging for their replacement;

settings and adjustments; refuelling of used fluids; lubrication and cleaning. These works shall be carried out under the immediate supervision and the control of the Controller (if they are two different persons). 1.3.5 Engineer The Engineer is the person qualified, professionally fit, trained and authorised to carry out works such as extraordinary maintenance, repairs, replacements, and overhauls requiring a particular knowledge of the techniques and working methods. He works according to the directions of the Manufacturer or the authorised service centre. Operations authorised during the use, maintenance, assembly and/or dismantling: repair of electrical and/or mechanical failures; replacement of broken or damaged parts; replacement of safety-critical components; interventions on the electrical and control

system (needed only in case of breakdown ); all typical operations of the operators and of the

ordinary maintenance staff.





1.3.6 Pubblico Nel presente manuale vengono indicate le prescrizioni riguardanti il Pubblico, distinguendosi, in tale ambito, due qualifiche: SPETTATORI: sono le persone che si trovano, rispetto all’attrazione, nella posizione e condizione di assistere al funzionamento dell’attrazione stessa, o che sono in attesa di accedere all’utilizzo dell’attrazione in qualità di passeggeri. PASSEGGERI: sono le persone che utilizzano l’attrazione collocandosi negli appositi spazi, quali vetture, sedili, abitacoli, corridoi, piattaforme, passerelle, ecc., e che si pongono in condizioni attive o passive, a seconda delle caratteristiche di movimentazione dell’attrazione, a scopo di divertimento, emozione o gioco. Le indicazioni e le prescrizioni per il Pubblico vengono date tramite: gli Operatori e/o Assistenti; gli avvisi e/o segnalazioni a bordo

dell’attrazione. 1.3.7 Addestramento degli Operatori Lo scopo primario dell’addestramento degli Operatori e degli Assistenti di un’attrazione è quello di sviluppare una capacità di base per operare correttamente in tutte le situazioni, con particolare riferimento a quelle di emergenza. Una utile guida generale è stata inserita nel Capitolo 3.

1.3.6 Public In this manual it is possible to find the rules regarding the Public, which have been divided into two categories: SPECTATORS: The persons watching the operation of the amusement device or waiting to gain access to the use of the attraction as passengers. PASSENGERS: the persons using the attraction, loaded in the passenger carrying devices such as cars, seats, passenger compartments, corridors, platforms, gangways and so on, behaving actively or passively according to the movement characteristics of the attraction and for their amusement. The indications and directions for the Public are provided through: the Operators and/or Attendants; the notices and/or signals aboard the attraction. 1.3.7 Training of the operators The main aim of the training of the operators and attendants of an attraction is to develop a basic competence in order to work correctly in all situations, in particular on emergency one. A useful general guide is provided in Chapter 3.





1.4 INDICAZIONI E ISTRUZIONI COLLOCATE SULL’ATTRAZIONE L’attrazione viene consegnata completa di targhette metalliche e/o etichette autoadesive che riportano indicazioni ritenute importanti per il montaggio e smontaggio, il funzionamento, i sistemi di sicurezza, le avvertenze per gli operatori e per il pubblico. Tali indicazioni non sostituiscono le prescrizioni contenute nel presente manuale e nelle altre documentazioni a corredo dell’attrazione che vengono fornite dal Costruttore. Esse, pertanto, non potranno essere considerate come le sole prescrizioni da osservare, ma devono intendersi come integrazione delle avvertenze contenute nel presente manuale.

ATTENZIONE Il Controllore è tenuto a far rispettare, sia agli addetti che al pubblico, tutte le avvertenze riportate nelle targhette affisse sull’attrazione, a mantenerle sempre leggibili, a sostituirle (con altre identiche o richieste al Costruttore) in caso di perdita o deterioramento. Le informazioni riportate direttamente sull’attrazione devono essere, leggibili, ben visibili e mantenute pulite per tutta la durata di vita prevista per l’attrazione . E’ VIETATO ASPORTARE E/O DETERIORARE LE TARGHETTE. In caso di deterioramento occorre sostituire immediatamente la targhetta con una nuova che riporti le stesse indicazioni di quella vecchia. 1.4.1 Indicazioni e istruzioni per gli Operatori Nelle componenti accessibili per le operazioni di azionamento e di manutenzione vengono segnalate le prescrizioni di sicurezza e le cautele che devono essere osservate scrupolosamente dal personale addetto e da chiunque intenda accedere a detti componenti per qualunque motivo.

1.4 DIRECTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS PLACED ON THE AMUSEMENT The attraction is delivered with metallic plates and/or sticky labels providing instructions important for the assembly and dismantling, the operation , the system safety and notices for the operators and for the public. These directions do not replace the rules contained in this manual and in other documents supplied by the Manufacturer with the amusement device. They cannot therefore be considered as the unique directions to be observed, but shall be considered as a summary of the notices contained in this manual. WARNING The Controller has to enforce by the Operator and by the public too all notices placed on the attraction. He has to ensure that they are kept legible and visible, and are replaced in case of loss or wear and tear by identical ones unless otherwise stated by the Manufacturer . The information provided directly on the attraction shall be legible, well visible and clean during the whole life foreseen for the attraction. DO NOT TAKE AWAY AND/OR DAMAGE THE NOTICES. In case of deterioration replace the notice immediately with a new one providing the same directions as the old one. 1.4.1 Directions and instructions for the operators Safety directions and precautions found on components must be carefully observed by the appointed staff and by anyone who wants to gain access to these components for any reason.





1.4.2 Indicazioni e istruzioni per il Pubblico Gli avvisi evidenziano le categorie di persone alle quali viene proibito l’uso dell’attrazione [es.: persone sofferenti di disturbi cardiaci, donne incinte, bambini senza accompagnamento, persone in evidente stato di alterazione da uso di alcolici o sostanze stupefacenti, persone di altezza inferiore a 1.2 m ecc.]. In nessun caso potranno essere apportate variazioni o modifiche agli avvisi al pubblico riguardanti: il corretto collocamento dei passeggeri

sull’attrazione; l’azionamento e il controllo dei sistemi di

sicurezza; il comportamento da tenere per non mettere in

pericolo se stessi o gli altri. ATTENZIONE Le indicazioni e/o segnalazioni plurilingue non vengono fornite con l’attrazione in quanto devono essere personalizzate in funzione del paese di destinazione e dell’ambiente in cui l’attrazione viene inserita. Altre indicazioni per il pubblico sono a carico dei gestori o dei responsabili dell’attrazione.

1.4.2 Directions and instructions for the public The notices show those categories of people who are not allowed to use the attraction [ex: heart patients, pregnant women, children without accompanying adult, persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs, persons shorter than 1.2 m etc.]. Under no circumstances it’s possible to make changes or modifications to the notices for the public related to: the correct accommodation of the passengers on

the attraction; the driving and control of the safety-related

systems; How to behave in order to keep safety

themselves and others. WARNING The multilingual directions and/or signals are not supplied with the attraction, as they have to be personalised according to the destination country and to the environment where the attraction is installed. The managers or the persons in charge of the attraction shall take responsibility for other directions for the public.





1.5 GARANZIA DELL’ATTRAZIONE La garanzia ha la validità, la durata e l’estensione prevista nel contratto di fornitura, che rimane vincolante per le parti se e in quanto non modificato dalle seguenti disposizioni. Decorrenza: la garanzia decorre dalla data di consegna dell’attrazione stabilita nel contratto di fornitura o risultante dalla data di consegna dell’attrazione e del manuale. Durata: salvo quanto previsto nel contratto di fornitura, la garanzia ha la durata di 12 mesi, non prorogabili o rinnovabili: qualora vengano eseguite sostituzioni o riparazioni in garanzia, esse si intenderanno coperte da nuova garanzia per il termine di 12 mesi dalla loro esecuzione, senza che ciò comporti rinnovo della garanzia per le componenti non sostituite o riparate. Estensione della garanzia: la garanzia si intende limitata alla ripresa pura e semplice del pezzo risultato difettoso, alla sua sostituzione o riparazione, da intendersi eseguita presso lo stabilimento del Costruttore, o presso un centro assistenza designato, o da personale autorizzato dal Costruttore. La garanzia riguarda unicamente le componenti fornite dal Costruttore, e non anche quella prestata dai fornitori dei singoli impianti o componenti costituenti l’attrazione: a tali componenti e impianti si applicheranno le disposizioni riguardanti le garanzie prestate dai singoli fornitori e costruttori. Limiti della garanzia: sono esclusi dalla garanzia i difetti riguardanti: i particolari elettrici; vetri; gomma; impianti sonori; effetti speciali richiesti dal compratore. La garanzia è operante solo se l’attrazione è stata utilizzata nel rispetto più assoluto delle disposizioni e indicazioni contenute nel presente manuale.

1.5 WARRANTY OF THE ATTRACTION The warranty is valid, for the duration and the extension stipulated in the supplying contract and is binding for parts not changed by the following directions. Effective date: the warranty starts from the delivery date of the attraction stated in the supplying contract or from the delivery date of the attraction with the manual. Duration: unless otherwise stated in the supplying contract, there is a 12 month unrenewable, non-deferrable warranty: parts replaced or repaired under warranty, are covered by a new warranty for a period of 12 months from their completion. This doesn’t constitute a renewal of the warranty for the replaced or repaired parts. Scope of the warranty: the warranty only concerns the repair or replacement of the defective part, at the Manufacturer’s factory or at an authorised service centre or by staff authorised by the Manufacturer. The warranty only concerns the components supplied by the Manufacturer and not those supplied by others; these components and systems are covered by the directions concerning the warranties given by the specific suppliers or manufacturers. Limits of the warranty: The lacks regarding are omitted by the warranty: electrical parts; glass; rubber; sound systems; special effects required by the Buyer. The warranty is effective only if the attraction has been used in absolute accordance with the directions and indications contained in this manual.





La garanzia non è operante per eventuali modifiche, sostituzioni, riparazioni o manomissioni eseguite dall’acquirente o da terzi. Termini e condizioni: i vizi e le eventuali difformità dagli ordini, dovranno, a pena di decadenza, essere comunicati al Costruttore entro otto giorni dalla scoperta, mediante comunicazione da inviarsi con lettera raccomandata con avviso di ricevimento alla sede del Costruttore. Il Costruttore potrà, a proprio insindacabile giudizio, sostituire o riparare il componente risultato difettoso. Saranno comunque a carico dell’acquirente le spese eventualmente sostenute per trasferte di personale del Costruttore. Le parti sostituite resteranno di proprietà del Costruttore.

The warranty does not apply to modifications, replacements, repairs or tampering carried out by the Buyer or by third party. Terms and conditions: any flaws and/or discrepancies in the order have to be communicated to the Manufacturer within eight days of their discovery by means of registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to the Manufacturer; otherwise the warranty is not effective. The Manufacturer has the right to replace or repair any defective component. Any travelling expenses of the Manufacturer’s staff will be charged to the manufacturer. The replaced parts remain the manufacturer’s property.

verranno adottati nel manuale. Queste nozioni sono indispensabili per comprendere le istruzioni e le avvertenze nei paragrafi seguenti. In questo capitolo troverete le informazioni e le istruzioni per: conoscere l’attrazione nel suo complesso; riconoscere le varie parti che varranno

richiamate nelle istruzioni; conoscere la loro collocazione; conoscere i termini e le denominazioni con cui

verranno richiamate. I destinatari del Capitolo sono: Controllore. Operatore. Assistente. Manutentore Meccanico. Manutentore Elettrico.

CHAPTER 2 DESCRIPTION WARNING Some figures represent parts of the attraction without protection devices or without guards. This is done in order to clarify the explanation. NEVER RUN THE ATTRACTION WITHOUT GUARDS AND PROTECTION DEVICES OR WITH DISCONNECTED PROTECTION DEVICES. NEGLECTING THIS OBLIGATION CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ACCIDENTS. In order to make the reading easier, the information in this chapter is drawn up as follows: brief description of the attraction; specifications and shape; detailed description of the various groups and

systems in order to identify the components and their names used in this manual.

The description of the attraction has been made brief so that the Operators and the Maintenance Workers get: a basic knowledge of the attraction and of its

components, the technical terms and names used in the

manual. This knowledge is essential to understand the instructions and notices in the following paragraphs. In this chapter you can find information and instructions to: know the attraction as a whole; know the various parts of the attraction, which

will be mentioned in the instructions; know their position; know their names and associated terms. The staff concerned by this Chapter are: Controller. Operator. Attendant. Maintenance Mechanic. Maintenance Electrician.





2.1 DESCRIZIONE GENERALE La giostra Endeavour è una giostra con 24 posti per parco mobile dotata di un centro con rotazione oraria e 12 bracci alla estremità dei quali ci sono 12 supporti sedili (gondole). Le 12 Gondole sono supportate da cuscinetti posti alle estremità dei bracci che permettono di oscillare. Le strutture colonna sono sollevate con il centro dai due cilindri idraulici fino alla posizione verticale. La giostra è costituita da 12 parti principali: 1) Sedile. 2) Gondola. 3) Supporti gondola. 4) Braccio girella. 5) Distanziali girella. 6) Diagonali girella. 7) Centro di rotazione. 8) Trasmissione del Centro 9) Strutture colonna 10) Cilindri sollevamento. 11) Basamento

2.1 GENERAL OVERVIEW Endeavour is a ride Trailer model, with 24 seats, provided of a Rotating Center with clockwise rotation and 12 main arms where at the end there are the 12 supporting seats (gondolas). The 12 Gondolas are supported by roll bearings at the ends of the Arms so they can swing. The Column Structures are lifted together with the rotating centre by 2 hydraulic cylinders until the vertical position. The ride consist of 12 main parts: 1) Seat. 2) Gondola. 3) Gondola supports. 4) Swivel Arms. 5) Swivel Spacers. 6) Swivel Diagonals. 7) Rotating Centres. 8) Centres Transmission. 9) Column Structures. 10) Lifting Cylinders 11) Basement





2.1.1 Sedile L’unità passeggeri è composta da un sedile con seduta e schienale in vetroresina ed una protezione al torace per contenere la persona. Ogni sedile è dotato di un sistema di bloccaggio doppia indipendente per la protezione toracica.

2.1.1 Seat The passenger Unit is made of one seat with cushion and back rest of fibreglass and a restrain over the shoulder to keep the passenger in its position. Every seat has a double redundant independent locking device for the over the shoulder restrain.





2.1.2 Gondola (Supporto sedili) La gondola è composta da una trave porta sedili e due sedili messi uno davanti all’altro. Essa è libera di ruotare sui due cuscinetti di supporto. All’interno della trave ci sono gli impianti elettrici e pneumatici per il funzionamento delle protezioni dei passeggeri.

2.1.2 Gondola (Seat support) The Gondola is made of a supporting beam for the two seats that are positioned one behind the other one. It’s free to swing by means of the two supporting roll bearings. Inside the gondola there are the pneumatic and electric system for the safety locking devices..





2.1.3 Supporti Gondola I supporti gondola sono costituiti da due mozzi con cuscinetto orientabile a rulli. All’interno di uno dei due c’è il collettore elettrico e all’interno dell’altro c’è il collettore ad aria per i sistemi di bloccaggio dei sedili.

2.1.3 Gondola Supports The gondola supports are made of two hubs with inside two orienting roll bearings. Inside one of the two there is the slip ring for the electric system and inside the other one there is the pneumatic revolute joint for the pneumatic system of the locking system of the seats.





2.1.4 Bracci Distanziali e Diagonali Il braccio principale è incernierato sul centro di rotazione, ce ne sono 12 bracci e sono tenuti in posizione tramite una serie di distanziali posti tra loro. In posizione aperta ci sono due serie di diagonali per rendere la geometria rigida. Durante il trasporto i 12 bracci si richiudono 6 a 6 lungo il semirimorchio.

2.1.4 Arms, Spacers and Diagonals The main arms are hinged on the rotating center, there are 12 arms and they are kept in right position by a series of spacers frames between them. In open position, there are two series of Diagonals to keep rigid the geometry. During transportation, the 12 arms are folded 6 by 6 along the trailer.





2.1.5 Centro di Rotazione e Trasmissione La trasmissione è l’unità della giostra che ha il compito di conferire, tramite un apposito motore-riduttore con pignone, il moto rotatorio (orario) alla ralla del Centro di rotazione. Il centro di rotazione supporta incernierati i 12 bracci della girella.

2.1.5 Rotating Centre and Transmission The Transmission is the unit that have to give the rotary motion (clockwise) to the Rotating centre, by a AC motor and reduction gear box with pinion. The Rotating Centre supports the 12 arms of the Swivel by means of hinges.





2.1.6 Strutture Colonna Le strutture colonna sono un sistema di 4 bracci incernierati tra di loro che formano una particolare geometria la quale permette alla girella di alzarsi ed inclinarsi per mezzo dei due cilindri idraulici. Due dei 4 elementi sono incernierati alla struttura del semirimorchio ed uno porta la ralla di rotazione.

2.1.6 Column Structures The Column Structures are a system of 4 arms connected each other by means of hinges to make a special geometry that permit to the swivel to lift up and tilt by means of the two hydraulic cylinders. Two of the 4 elements are connected to the trailer structure and another one host the slewing gear..

2.1.7 Lifting Cylinders and Hydraulic System The two hydraulic cylinders work to lift up the swivel until the vertical position and they are moved by an hydraulic system made of two pumps of 300 litres and two motors of 45 kW each one. Donne incinte. Persone sofferenti di malattie cardiache e con

precarie condizioni di salute (è necessario applicare dei cartelli ben visibili a riguardo).

Persone portatrici di handicap fisici e/o mentali tali per cui non possano essere utilizzati correttamente i dispositivi di sicurezza.

Persone con altezza inferiore ai 1.2 m. Non è permesso fumare, portare animali e/o

oggetti che possono creare pericolo. Il pubblico si deve comportare in maniera da

non creare pericolo per se stesso e per gli altri. Assicurarsi che i passeggeri prima della salita

depositino ogni oggetto che cadendo possa rappresentare pericolo che possono cadere durante i movimenti della giostra.

E’ vietato tenere comportamenti lesivi tesi a scavalcare o ad importunare altri utenti, con spinte, calci e quant’altro. Fermare la giostra immediatamente se qualche passeggero tiene comportamenti pericolosi.

Persone con dimensioni corporee tali da non consentire l’applicazione delle misure di sicurezza adottate.

2.3.3 Limiti di impiego in funzione degli agenti atmosferici L’utilizzo dell’attrazione dovrà essere interdetto

con una velocità del vento pari a 15 m/sec. (= 54 km/h = 34 mph).

In caso di forte pioggia o neve, la giostra non può operare con il pubblico. Limiti di temperatura di utilizzo 0°C / 40°C.

Non usare l’attrazione in caso di fulmini. Non usare l’attrazione ad una altitudine

superiore ai 1900 m.

2.3 TECHNICAL CONDITIONS OF USE 2.3.1 Designation The attraction has been designed for a public consisting of: teenagers; adults; 2.3.2 Limitations in use and selecting methods for passengers This attraction is NOT suitable for a public with the following characteristics: Persons visibly under the influence, alcohol or

drugs (on this matter it is necessary to apply well visible warnings).

Pregnant women. Heart patients and persons in a precarious state

of health (on this matter it is necessary to apply well visible warnings).

Persons with such physical and/or mental disability that they cannot use the safety devices properly.

Persons lower to 1.2 m (48 inc.). Is not permitted: smoking, to carry animals

and/or objects that might create a risk. Passengers shall behave properly in order not to

affect their own and others’ safety. Make sure that the passengers before getting on

the ride leave any object that can represent a danger if falling, which can fall off during the movements of the ride.

It’s forbidden to behave in such a way so as to offend other people by jumping over, pushing or kicking them. The ride must be immediately stopped if a passenger behaves dangerously.

Persons whose size does not allow the use of the safety devices.

2.3.3 Limitations in use in function of atmospheric agent Do not operate the ride with velocity of wind

equal at 15 m/sec. (= 54 Km/h = 34 mph). In case of heavy rain or snow, the ride can’t

work with public. The limit temperature to the utilization of the ride are 0°C / 40°C.

Do not use the ride in case of lighting Do not use the ride over 1900 m of altitude.

2.3.4 Balancing the ride during operation During loading operation, the operator should attempt to distribute passengers uniformly on the ride gondola in order to avoid dangerous unbalancing. All passengers have to be loaded arranging the load in the best way. 2.3.6 Illuminazione ambiente L’attrazione deve essere installata in modo da disporre di sufficiente luce naturale durante le ore diurne, ed essere dotata di dispositivi che consentano un’illuminazione artificiale adeguata per salvaguardare la sicurezza e la salute. L’illuminazione deve essere conforme alle leggi vigenti nel paese di installazione e utilizzo dell’attrazione e deve: essere uniforme e garantire una buona visibilità

in ogni punto dell’attrazione; non creare riflessi pericolosi, zone d’ombra,

abbagliamenti, ecc.; consentire la chiara lettura dei pannelli di

comando e l’individuazione dei pulsanti di emergenza.

L’illuminazione deve consentire l’esecuzione in sicurezza delle operazioni di manutenzione previste nel manuale. L’illuminazione, se rispetta quanto prescritto nelle istruzioni di installazione dell’attrazione, è sufficiente per eseguire in sicurezza tutte le operazioni previste nelle varie fasi. Per gli interventi in zone particolari (come interventi di manutenzione nelle zone interne dell’attrazione o all’interno di quadri elettrici) può essere necessario l’utilizzo di dispositivi di illuminazione locali. I dispositivi di illuminazione locale non devono costituire fonte di rischio.

2.3.6 Lighting Lighting shall be provided in order to have a sufficient natural light during the day and it shall be provided with devices allowing an artificial lighting fit for preserving safety and health. Lighting shall comply with the law in force in the land where the attraction is installed and in use and it shall : be uniform and assure a good visibility in every

area of the attraction; not create dangerous glints, shades, dazzling,

etc.; allow to read clearly the control panel and to

find the emergency stop buttons. Lighting shall allow the maintenance foreseen in this manual to be carried out safely. If the lighting system is installed in accordance with the manual, it will allow the safe execution of all prescribed operations. For operations in particular areas (such as maintenance inside the attraction or inside the control cabinet) it may be necessary to use local lighting fittings. Local lighting fittings shall not be sources of danger.

Queste informazioni e avvisi vengono richiamati o ripetuti nei punti del manuale in cui servono. In questo Capitolo troverete le informazioni e le istruzioni per: garantire la sicurezza al massimo livello

consentito; completare la formazione degli operatori

addetti. I destinatari del capitolo sono: Controllore; Operatore; Assistente; Manutentore meccanico; Manutentore elettricista. Al termine della lettura i destinatari devono conoscere i pericoli, i rischi, le protezioni e le procedure previste in linea generale nel settore e in particolare nell’attrazione.

CHAPTER 3 SAFETY 3.1 READING GUIDE OF THE CHAPTER In this Chapter are included important information for: the safety of the persons in charge of the

installation, conduction and maintenance; the safety and the efficiency of the ride; the safety of the public. These information and advises are quoted or repeated in the points of the manual where they are used. In this Chapter you will find information and instructions in order to: assure the greatest safety allowed; complete the training of the appointed operators. The staff concerned by this chapter are: Controller; Operator; Attendant; Maintenance mechanic; Maintenance electrician. After having read this chapter the staff shall know the dangers, the risks, the protections device and the procedures foreseen in general in this field and in particular for this ride.





3.2 INFORMAZIONI E AVVERTENZE GENERALI 3.2.1 Precauzioni per la sicurezza Il pubblico che utilizza l’attrazione ha ragione di attendersi un elevato livello di sicurezza, in particolare quando le possibili situazioni di rischio sono al di fuori del proprio controllo (come ad esempio, quelli derivanti dal macchinario, dalle componenti elettriche, ecc.). E’ quindi necessario garantire il mantenimento di tale livello di sicurezza, osservando scrupolosamente le istruzioni del presente manuale, e facendole osservare ai loro destinatari: la sicurezza, infatti, non si realizza da sola, ma richiede l’impegno di tutti, del personale e anche, per quanto gli può competere, del pubblico. Nel presente Capitolo vengono fornite indicazioni di carattere generale, allo scopo di informare il controllore, l’operatore e gli assistenti sulle precauzioni, le cautele e le attenzioni particolari da adottare nell’utilizzo (in senso ampio) dell’attrazione. 3.2 GENERAL INFORMATION AND WARNINGS 3.2.1 Precautions for safety The public using the ride rightly expects a high safety standard, in particular when the possible risk situations are out of its own control (such as for example those arising situations from machinery, from electric equipment, etc.). Therefore it is necessary to keep this safety standard through the scrupulous application of the instructions of this manual; it shall be enforced by those responsible for the attraction: safety doesn’t just make by itself, it requires everybody’s care, the staff’s care and, as far as reasonably practicable, the public’s too. In this Chapter are given general directions informing the Controller, the Operator and the Attendants of the precautions, the cautions and the particular attention to take when using (in a wide sense) the ride. Are also indicated particular precautions that the public and passengers shall respect, in order to prevent dangerous situations or to eliminate and neutralize particular risks, are also highlighted. WARNING SOME PICTURES OF THE MANUAL CAN SHOW THE RIDE, OR SOME OF ITS PARTS, WITHOUT SAFETY LOCKS OR WITH SAFETY DEVICES (EVEN NOT INDICATED), REMOVED OR WITHOUT PROTECTION DEVICES, BARRIERS, SHELTERS, SUPPORTS, ETC. THIS WAS MADE ONLY TO SHOW OR EXPLAIN OPERATIONS REGARDING A SINGLE COMPONENT. Il presente manuale contiene prescrizioni di sicurezza per l’uso e la manutenzione dell’attrazione. Nel caso di vendita e/o utilizzo dell’attrazione al di fuori del territorio della Repubblica Italiana, dovranno osservarsi le disposizioni in materia di antinfortunistica, sicurezza, igiene del lavoro, antincendio, sicurezza degli spettacoli, e di pubblica sicurezza in genere, in vigore nel paese in cui l’attrazione viene utilizzata. A titolo indicativo, si ricorda che nei paesi dell’Unione Europea tali prescrizioni devono essere attuate nel rispetto delle seguenti Direttive e norme: 89/391/CEE “Misure volte a promuovere il

miglioramento della sicurezza e della salute dei lavoratori durante il lavoro”;

Direttive particolari ai sensi dell’art. 16 par. 1 della Direttiva 89/391/CEE.

3.2.2 Precauzioni generali Il proprietario e/o controllore dell’attrazione, dovrà provvedere a istruire correttamente il personale addetto (Operatori, Assistenti e chiunque si trovi a operare sull’attrazione), sul sistema di azionamento e sul funzionamento dell’attrazione, sui dispositivi per la sicurezza, sui rischi da emissioni di rumore, curando il rispetto di tutte le normative antinfortunistiche, di sicurezza e igiene del lavoro, antincendio, e di pubblica sicurezza previste dalla legislazione in vigore nel paese di installazione e utilizzo dell’attrazione. Gli Operatori e gli Assistenti dovranno attenersi alle disposizioni del presente manuale e a quelle impartite dal Controllore, nonché alle normative sopra citate, in vigore nel paese di installazione e utilizzo dell’attrazione. Essi sono tenuti, in ogni caso, a osservare i seguenti obblighi: Selezionare operatori di una certa maturità e

competenza al di sopra dei 18 anni di età, in grado di capire tutte le funzioni e l’uso dell’attrazione ed il loro controllo.

Conoscere le caratteristiche dell’attrazione, soprattutto in relazione alle proprie mansioni.

Utilizzare l’attrazione solo per lo scopo per cui è destinata e nel rispetto delle disposizioni contenute nel presente manuale.

This manual provides also safety directions for the use and maintenance of the ride. In case of sale and/or use of the ride outside the Italian Republic, it is duty to observe the directions related to accident-prevention, safety, health at work, fire-fighting, side-shows and public safety in general in force in the Country where the ride is used. As a reminder note, in the countries of the European Community these instructions have to be realized into effect in respect of the following Directions and rules: 89/391/CEE "Measure designed to promote the

improvement of workers’ safety and wellness during the job ".

Particular instructions according to the art. 16 par. 1 of the Directions 89/391/CEE.

3.2.2 General precautions The Owner and/or Controller of the ride will check for the correct training of the appointed staff (Operators, Attendants and anyone who works on the ride) as regards the driving system, the operation of the ride, the safety devices, the risks arising from noise emission, respecting all the accident prevention legislations, of job’s safety and cleaning, fire escape and the public safety provided by the laws in force in the Country where the ride is installed and used. The Operators and Attendants shall follow the instructions in this manual and those given by the Controller, as well as the above mentioned rules in force in the Country where the ride is installed and used. In any case they shall observe the following obligations: Select responsible and competent operators

older than 18 years, who are able to understand all the functions of the ride and how to use and control it. Know the characteristics of the ride,

especially those related to their own duties.

Use the ride only for the purpose for which it was designed and in the observance of the directions contained in this manual;





Conoscere perfettamente la posizione e il funzionamento di tutti i comandi dell’attrazione, nessuno escluso.

Operare sempre nelle zone di sicurezza indicate nel manuale.

Non rimuovere né disattivare carter di protezione, dispositivi di sicurezza, fermi, protezioni meccaniche, elettriche o di altro tipo, se non alle condizioni previste nel manuale.

Non lubrificare, riparare, registrare organo in moto.

Non avvicinarsi ad organi in movimento o ad alte temperature.

Non introdurre parti del corpo attraverso feritoie o aperture dell’attrazione.

Non abbandonare mai l’attrazione lasciandola incustodita quando è in funzione o in grado di funzionare.

Prestare attenzione agli avvisi di sicurezza riportati in vari punti del manuale e sull’attrazione.

Conoscere e seguire le procedure di utilizzo in presenza di pubblico (spettatori e passeggeri).

Esigere dal pubblico il rispetto delle indicazioni di sicurezza e gli avvisi esistenti sull’attrazione, e le norme di normale prudenza.

Conoscere e seguire le procedure di emergenza. Attenersi alle disposizioni del manuale e a

quelle impartite dal Controllore. Astenersi dallo svolgere operazioni delle quali

non dovessero essere perfettamente a conoscenza.

Tenere un comportamento tale da non mettere in pericolo la propria e l’altrui incolumità.

L’impianto elettrico deve essere disinserito tramite i 2 interruttori principali, ogni qualvolta si proceda al lavaggio della giostra con acqua. Importante non dirigere mai il getto sui quadri e sui componenti elettrici.

All’interno del quadro interruttori principali è installata una barra di rame per consentire la misurazione della resistenza di terra per il controllo della giostra prima della messa in moto.

In posizione segnalata deve essere posto un interruttore generale che permetta di interrompere l’erogazione di corrente elettrica da parte dei soccorsi, specificatamente dai Vigili del Fuoco.

Nella cabina dell’operatore deve essere installata una Luce di Emergenza.

Know perfectly the position and the functioning of all drives of the ride;

Always respect the safety areas shown in the manual;

Neither remove nor deactivate protection covers, safety devices, locks, protection devices of mechanical or electrical or any other type, unless otherwise stated by this manual;

Do not lubricate, repair, set any component in motion;

Do not approach components in motion or at high temperature;

Do not put any part of the body in gaps or pinch points of the ride;

Never abandon the ride and leave it unguarded while it is operating or could be operated;

Pay attention to the safety notices given in various points of the manual and on the ride;

Know and follow the operation procedures with the public (spectators and passengers);

Make the public aware of the safety indications, the notices shown on the ride and the normal safety rules;

Know and follow the emergency procedures; Follow the directions of the manual and those

given by the Controller; Do not carry out operations they do not

perfectly know; Maintain a conduct which will not put at risk

their own and/or other’s safety. The electric installation must be disconnected

by means of the 2 main switches whenever the ride is washed with water. The jet must never be directed on the panels and on the electric components.

Inside the main switch cabianet it is installed a copper bar allowing the measuring of the ground resistance in order to control the ride before starting (check OMS on ground before starting works).

In signalled position there must be put a cut-out switch allowing the assistance service, the Fire Brigade specifically, to interrupt the electrical output.

Inside the Control Box there must be an Emergency Light.





Si devono tener chiusi a chiave, dove possibile accessi ai vani dei macchinari, ai vani comando ed ai vani elettrici esclusi i periodi del montaggio, dello smontaggio e della manutenzione.

Assicurarsi prima di ogni partenza che vengano tolti i fermi che impediscono la rotazione (se sono presenti).

Devono essere disponibili nei pressi dell’attrazione, degli estintori della classe e qualità relativa al tipo di infiammabili. (E’ consigliato tenere sempre degli estintori a polvere o a CO2 -non ad acqua o schiuma- uno in cassa controllo ed un paio in prossimità degli armadi elettrici principali).

Ogni qualvolta si mette in funzione la giostra per le prime oscillazioni/rotazioni operare in manuale e continuare con i movimenti gradualmente per arrivare ad una temperatura di esercizio gradatamente (specialmente in inverno). Al termine delle operazioni sopra citate, verificare i cicli automatici senza il pubblico. Durante queste ultime prove, verificare i valori dei vari indicatori sul monitor o sul pannello.

Istruire l’operatore e gli aiutanti sugli appropriati sistemi di sicurezza della giostra. Non permettere ai passeggeri di salire in giostra se non possono essere assicurati ai dispositivi di sicurezza a causa della loro mole o dal malfunzionamento dei dispositivi stessi.

Istruire l’operatore a non far partire il ciclo di funzionamento mentre qualche persona (passeggero, spettatore o dipendente) è in posizione pericolosa all’interno della giostra o comunque nell’area di operazione.

Assicurarsi che l’operatore verifichi che i sistemi di sicurezza forniti dal costruttore non vengano manomessi o rimossi.

Controllare durante il funzionamento della macchina eventuali interferenze e/o rumori strani causati da eventuali anomalie.

Qualsiasi incidente o rottura anche se di lieve entità, deve essere riportato alle Autorità competenti.

Where possible, the entrance to the machinery , control and electric rooms must be kept locked except during assembling, dismantling and maintenance.

Be sure that before each starting the locking preventing the connecting rod rotation be removed (if the are there).

Fire extinguishers of the class and quality relative to the type of inflammable, must be available nearby the ride. (It is advisable to always keep powder or CO2 extinguishers - not water or foam extinguishers- one in the control box and a couple nearby the main electrical cupboards).

Whenever the ride is started , operate manually for the first oscillations/rotations and gradually continue with the movements until reaching the working temperature (especially in winter). At the end of the above mentioned operations, check the automatic cycles without passengers. During these latter tests, check the values of the various indicators on the monitor or on the panel.

Instruct the operator and the assistants on the suitable safety systems of the ride. Passengers must not be allowed on the ride if they cannot be secured to the safety devices because of their size or the bad functioning of the same devices.

Instruct the operator not to start the run cycle while some people (a passenger, a spectator or an employee) are in a dangerous position inside the ride or around the operation area.

Be sure that the operator checks that the safety systems supplied by the manufacturer be not tampered or removed.

When the machine is working check possible interferences and/or strange noises caused by possible anomalies.

Any accident or break-down, even of slight entity, must be reported to the competent Authorities, or your supervisor immediately.





Le spiegazioni che riguardano i sistemi di sicurezza devono essere perfettamente comprese in quanto: identificano i rischi e le cause degli stessi; evidenziano le conseguenze per le persone e/o le

cose; spiegano i comportamenti corretti per eliminare

o neutralizzare i pericoli e/o i rischi individuati; illustrano i comportamenti da tenersi per la sicurezza, i dispositivi di sicurezza e l’uso corretto degli stessi.

ATTENZIONE QUALSIASI INTERVENTO SULLE PARTI ELETTRICHE O MECCANICHE DEVE ESSERE ESEGUITO DA PAERSONALE TECNICO SPECIALIZZATO E A CONOSCENZA DEGLI IMPIANTI ADOTTATI SULL’ATTRAZIONE. Nel caso in cui, durante una qualsiasi fase d’impiego dell’attrazione (trasporto, montaggio, smontaggio, uso, manutenzione, ecc.), per un qualunque motivo, vi sia anche solo il semplice sospetto di funzionamento non corretto o non sicuro dell’attrazione, chiunque si trovi ad operare, deve immediatamente sospendere qualsiasi attività, facendo in modo che ciò non pregiudichi la sicurezza di alcuno, fino al completo ripristino delle condizioni di sicurezza.

The explanations relating to the safety systems shall be perfectly understood since: they identify the risks and their causes; they highlight the consequences for people

and/or things; they explain the correct reaction in order to

eliminate or neutralize the highlighted dangers and/or risks;

they show the conduct to be maintained to ensure safety, the safety devices and their correct use.

WARNING ANY INTERVENTION ON THE ELECTRICAL OR MECHANICAL PARTS SHALL BE CARRIED OUT BY ENGINEERS KNOWING THE SYSTEMS INSTALLED ON THE RIDE. If, during any phase of use of the ride (assembly, dismantling, transport, use, maintenance, etc.), for any reason, there is the suspicion of bad or unsafe operation of the ride, whoever is working shall immediately stop the ride. This shall be done in a way that does not impair anyone’s safety. Complete restoration of the safety conditions shall be achieved before normal operation can be resumed.





3.3 PRECAUZIONI GENERALI PER LA SICUREZZA NELLE FASI DI UTILIZZO DELL’ATTRAZIONE L’attrazione deve sempre essere utilizzata,

montata e smontata da un personale qualificato e appositamente addestrato.

Prima di mettere in funzione l’attrazione accertarsi che non vi siano persone nelle zone pericolose e/o che stiano eseguendo operazioni di pulizia o manutenzione.

3.3.1 Montaggio e smontaggio dell’attrazione Seguire sempre le istruzioni fornite a tale scopo

dal costruttore nel presente manuale e nel corso di addestramento eseguito dal proprietario e/o Controllore.

Seguire un sistema di lavoro sicuro come stabilito dalla legislazione vigente.

Prestare molta attenzione nello spostare i veicoli nell’ambito del luogo destinato all’installazione dell’attrazione. Evitare di spostarli se nell’area sono presenti persone del pubblico o bambini. Ricorrere sempre a un aiuto nel fare marcia indietro, a meno che si sia sicuri che non ci sono rischi per le persone e/o le cose.

E’ vietato montare/smontare l’attrazione in caso di condizioni atmosferiche avverse (vento, pioggia, neve, nebbia, ghiaccio, ecc.).

Durante il montaggio e lo smontaggio delle attrazioni, usare tutti i cavi di ritegno temporanei, i puntelli, i supporti e i dispositivi di fissaggio necessari per evitare danni causati dalla caduta di parti dell’attrazione.

Controllare che tutte le parti da montare non presentino segni di rottura, strappi, ruggine, ecc., esaminando in particolar modo i componenti critici per la sicurezza (fermi di sicurezza, cavi per collegamenti elettrici, ecc.).

Cilindri, tubi, valvole di scarico dell’impianto oleodinamici e/o pneumatico non devono essere danneggiate, degradate, schiacciate.

Non è ammessa la presenza di estranei ai lavori: se dovesse rendersi necessario installare barriere e cartelli di avviso.

Non lavorare mai sotto parti sospese. Il personale deve tenersi a distanza di sicurezza

e fuori delle traiettorie di scorrimento, salita o discesa delle parti mobili.

3.3 GENERAL PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFETY IN THE PHASES OF USE OF THE AMUSEMENT DEVICE The ride shall always be used, assembled and

dismantled by qualified and trained staff. Before switch on the ride, make sure there are

no people in dangerous areas and/or people doing cleaning or maintenance operations.

3.3.1 Assembly and dismantling of the ride Always follow the instructions provided for this

purpose by the Manufacturer in this manual and during the training carried out by the Owner and/or Controller.

Follow a safe working system, as stated by the laws in force.

Pay attention while moving the vehicles within the installation area of the ride. Avoid moving them if there are members of the public or children in the area. Always get help with reversing unless there is no risk to people and/or things.

It’s forbidden assemble/dismantle the ride in case of adverse weather conditions (wind, rain, snow, fog, ice, etc.).

During assembly and dismantling of rides use any temporary guys, stays, supports and fasteners needed to prevent damage which could arise from the collapse of any part of the ride.

Check that all parts to be assembled have no signs of failure, cracking, rust, etc., check particularly the safety-critical components (safety locks, cables for electrical connections, etc.).

Cylinders, pipes, release valves of the oil-

pressure and/or pneumatic system shall not be damaged, deteriorated, crashed or pinched.

The presence of unauthorised persons is not permitted; if necessary install barriers and warning notices.

Never work under suspended parts. The staff must keep safely away from any parts

or assemblies which are being manoeuvred, especially at height.





Prima di ogni movimentazione, controllare che il personale sia a distanza di sicurezza e dare opportuni segnali (acustici, e/o visivi) di preavviso.

Adottare tutte le precauzioni per prevenire i pericoli che una linea elettrica sopraelevata può causare a personale e pubblico. Perciò è vietato montare la giostra sotto o vicino a cavi dell’alta tensione.

Controllare a fine montaggio che non siano stati dimenticati attrezzi che potrebbero essere causa di incidenti e/o rotture.

Una volta completato l’assemblaggio il Controllore deve verificare che tutti gli elementi importanti per la sicurezza (elementi strutturali, parti di collegamento, parti di chiusura, dispositivi di sicurezza, impianto elettrico, ecc.) siano stati installati nel modo corretto e corrispondano al libro ufficiale della costruzione.

L’illuminazione deve essere sufficiente e adatta alle operazioni di montaggio e smontaggio perché possano essere eseguite in modo sicuro e corretto.

Devono essere usati utensili e attrezzi idonei, in particolare quelli per il sollevamento dei carichi.

Rispettare le norme antinfortunistica, in vigore nei paesi di destinazione, e utilizzare i dispositivi di protezione individuale (cinture di sicurezza, elmetto, ecc.).

Quando è necessario lavorare in altezza munirsi di dispositivi anticaduta.

Le attrezzature di emergenza devono essere messe in evidenza da segnali speciali.

Non affidarsi mai ai soli “martinetti idraulici” per supportare l’attrazione in funzione.

Il montaggio, lo smontaggio e la manutenzione devono essere eseguiti da posizioni di lavoro sicure. Devono essere disponibili le attrezzature e i provvedimenti necessari per evitare che si rovescino o cadano materiali.

Durante il montaggio e lo smontaggio ogni pezzo singolo che sta in piedi, deve essere assicurato contro la caduta prima di cominciare con altri lavori.

Durante il montaggio e lo smontaggio devono essere calpestati solo parti della costruzione che secondo le misurazioni ne siano adatte (l’operatore deve camminare solo sulle parti della giostra che possano resistere al suo peso).

Before each manoeuvre, check that the staff is safely away and give suitable (sound and/or visual) warning signals.

Take all precautions to prevent any danger for staff or public which could be caused by overhead electric lines. So it’s forbidden to install the ride under or near the high Voltage power line.

At the end of assembly check that no tools have been left, which could cause accidents and/or failures.

When the assembly is finished the Controller shall verify that all elements important for safety (structural elements, connecting parts, locking devices, safety devices, electric system, etc.) are correctly installed and correspond to the official manufacturer’s book.

Lighting shall be sufficient and fit for the operations of assembly and dismantling, so that these can be carried out safely and correctly.

The equipment and tools to be used shall be suitable for their purpose, particularly those used for the lifting of loads.

Observe the accident-prevention standard in force in the Country where the ride is used and wear personal protection equipment (safety belts, hard hats, etc.) as required.

When it is necessary to work in at height, personal protective equipment against falling shall be used.

The emergency equipment shall be highlighted by special signs.

Never rely only on “hydraulic jacks” to support the running ride.

Assembling, dismantling and maintenance must be carried out from safe work positions. The equipment and the necessary measures in order to avoid materials from overturning or falling off must be available.

When assembling and dismantling every single piece standing up must be secured from falling off before starting other works.

During assembling and dismantling they must be trampled on only those parts of the construction that are fit according to measures (the worker must walk on only the parts of the ride that can withstand their weight).





Le zone intorno all’attrazione in cui è vietato il transito di persone e/o mezzi di movimentazione, devono essere identificate e delimitate con sistemi come: transenne, catene, altri mezzi previsti dalla legislazione vigente nel paese di installazione.

Le parti della costruzione devono essere trasportate ed immagazzinate in modo che durante il trasporto, la posa e l’accatastamento gli operatori non vengano feriti.

Spigoli sporgenti di ancoraggi a terra devono essere coperti con cuffie di protezione molto evidenti se sporgono più di 0,20 m. (0,656 Fts) orizzontalmente dalla parte di costruzione retta. Devono essere eliminate le sbavature dagli ancoraggi a terra.

3.3.2 Per la sicurezza del pubblico Evitare la presenza del pubblico nelle zone in

cui si sta montando o smontando l’attrazione, o operando su di essa. Se necessario il controllore o la persona autorizzata devono utilizzare ogni mezzo per prevenire l’ingresso del pubblico.

Impedire o ridurre la presenza di pubblico all’interno delle zone di carico e scarico passeggeri, evitando resse.

Tenere libere, asciutte, pulite e in ordine le zone attorno alle uscite di emergenza per consentire un deflusso rapido in caso di necessità.

Tenere libere, asciutte, pulite e in ordine le vie di camminamento, le rampe e le scale al fine di evitare rischi di cadute al pubblico e agli operatori addetti.

Dotare l’attrazione di estintori antincendio secondo la legislazione del paese in cui l’attrazione è utilizzata.

Le presenti disposizioni, così come tutte le altre riguardanti i passeggeri contenute nel manuale, si intendono valide anche per il Personale di Servizio, quando questo, per qualsiasi motivo, occupi posizioni normalmente destinate ai passeggeri e/o al pubblico, o vie di accesso.

L’esclusione di una persona per motivi di salute e sicurezza non è una discriminazione. Date le caratteristiche dell’attrazione, si deve vietare la salita a: persone inferiori ai 1.2 m. persone visibilmente ammalate, ubriache o sotto

l’effetto di stupefacenti;

The areas around the attraction where access to

persons and/or vehicles shall be prevented, shall be identified and bounded by devices such as: barriers, chains, other means foreseen by the law in force on site.

The parts of the construction must be carried and stored so that during transport, laying and stacking the operators cannot get wounded.

Ground rods protruding edges must be covered with well visible guards if they stick out more than 0,20 m (0,656 Fts). horizontally on the part of the right construction. Burrs must be removed from the earth anchorages.

3.3.2 For the publics’ safety Prevent people from standing in the areas where

a ride is being assembled or dismantled, or where we are working on it. If necessary the Controller or the authorized person shall use every means to prevent the access by public.

Prevent or reduce the presence of public in passenger loading and unloading areas and prevent crowds.

Keep the areas around the emergency routes free, dry and clean to allow a quick flow in case of necessity.

Keep the walkways, the ramps and the stairs free, dry, clean and tidy in order to prevent the public and the staff from falling.

Provide the ride with fire-fighting equipment according to the laws in force in the Country where the ride is installed.

The following directions, as well as all the others related to passengers in this manual, are valiant also to the Staff who, for any reason, occupy positions normally designed for passengers and/or public or access routes.

The exclusion of a passenger for healthy and safety reason is not discrimination. By the characteristics of the ride, is forbidden to ride : passengers under 1.2 m (48 inc). passengers visibly under the influence, alcohol

or drugs.

I passeggeri devono tenere in ogni caso un comportamento tale da non mettere in pericolo la propria e l’altrui incolumità, per esempio creando assembramenti, sporgendosi, alzandosi dai sedili, eludendo i dispositivi di sicurezza, ecc.

L’abbigliamento non deve costituire fonte di pericolo per il pubblico. In particolare si devono evitare sciarpe, foulard, ecc., che possono impigliarsi in parti fisse o mobili. Indumenti non indossati non possono essere portati sull’attrazione.

Evitare parti di abbigliamento e oggetti personali che possano essere perdute durante il funzionamento.

Controllare che tutti i componenti del sistema di contenimento dei passeggeri inclusi sedili, barre, cinghie, imbracature, appigli per le mani, poggiapiedi, serrature, chiavistelli, cerniere e tutti gli altri punti di fissaggio siano sottoposti ad adeguata manutenzione e correttamente regolati in modo da essere sicuri e minimizzare le conseguenze per il pubblico causate dal movimento dell’attrazione. Non lasciare che i passeggeri usino qualsiasi parte dell’attrazione il cui sistema di contenimento è difettoso.

Addestrare, istruire e richiedere che gli Operatori e il personale di servizio prendano ragionevoli misure, incluso l’arresto dell’attrazione se necessario, per evitare che i passeggeri: abusino intenzionalmente delle apparecchiature

provviste per la loro sicurezza; si comportino in maniera imprudente;

Train and inform the Operators and the staff and require them to take all reasonable measures, including the shutdown of the ride if necessary, to prevent passengers from: intentionally misusing the equipment provided

for their safety; behaving carelessly;

Salvo accordi particolari, la segnaletica per il pubblico e i passeggeri è a carico del proprietario dell’attrazione. La segnaletica utilizzata dovrà tenere in conto la legislazione e/o le prescrizioni delle autorità del paese in cui l’attrazione verrà utilizzata.

I turni di lavoro non devono essere estenuanti, tenendo in conto il tipo di attrazione e le funzioni che gli Operatori e/o gli Assistenti sono chiamati a svolgere. Un eccessivo affaticamento può ridurre la concentrazione e creare situazioni di pericolo dovuto a una maggiore facilità di errore. Può essere necessario suddividere i periodi di maggior affollamento in più turni lavorativi.

Assicurarsi che tutto il personale dell’attrazione sia facilmente identificabile, indossando indumenti facilmente riconoscibili (ex.: cappelli, uniformi, fasce al braccio, ecc.).

Il costruttore dell’attrazione non ha gli elementi per fissare, in questo manuale, la durata dei turni di lavoro per ciascuna situazione possibile. Spetta al Controllore valutare, caso per caso, le condizioni reali di lavoro e stabilire durata e avviamento dei turni. Si ritiene tuttavia utile indicare alcuni criteri di valutazione (a titolo di esempio non esaustivo): affluenza e affollamento del pubblico; tipo di pubblico (più o meno disciplinato); parte della giornata (mattina, pomeriggio o

sera); condizioni climatiche; limiti e regole imposte dalla legislazione

vigente; condizioni di salute personali di Operatori e

Assistenti. Non permettere che fumo, effetti di

illuminazione o di altro tipo impediscano o riducano la visibilità.

If there are no particular agreements, the signage for the public and the passengers it’s under the owner of the ride responsibility . The signage used shall consider the laws and/or the requirements of the Authority of the Country where the ride will be used.

The shifts shall not be tiring, considering the kind of ride and the tasks that the Operators and/or Attendants carry out. Fatigue can reduce the concentration and create dangerous situations, due to a greater possibility of making mistakes. It may be necessary to subdivide the most crowded periods into different shifts.

Make sure the whole staff is easily identifiable by means of easily recognizable clothing (e.g.: hats, uniforms, armbands, etc.).

The Manufacturer of the ride has not the elements to state in this manual the duration of the shifts for every possible situation. It is up to the Controller to consider for each case the real working conditions and to state the duration and the rotation of the shifts. However here are some of the points which should be considered (used as an e.g.): crowding; type of public (more or less disciplined); time of the day (morning, afternoon or evening); weather conditions; limitations and rules dictated by the laws in

force; personal health conditions of Operators and

Attendants; Do not allow smoke, lighting or other effects to

block or reduce the visibility.





3.3.3 Limiti di impiego e criteri di selezione dei passeggeri diversamente abili In questo caso appositi cartelli devono vietare l’utilizzo dell’attrazione a: • Persone con disabilita fisiche e psichiche tali per cui non possano essere utilizzati correttamente i dispositivi di sicurezza; • Persone con dimensioni corporee tali da non consentire l’applicazione delle misure di sicurezza adottate (cintura di sicurezza), per esempio persone con mancanza di arti, e persone che non possono tenere una seduta normale causata dalla propria altezza. 3.3.4 Manutenzione generale Una corretta, efficace e periodica manutenzione assicura una durata più lunga a tutte le strutture e meccanismi e riduce il pericolo di incidenti. Sottoporre l’attrazione a una accurata manutenzione secondo il programma specificato nel presente manuale. Controllare periodicamente: le strutture; il serraggio dei bulloni; lo stato dei giunti e delle saldature; lo stato delle sicurezze meccaniche; gli organi di sollevamento, scorrimento,

azionamento, sostituendo prontamente quelli usurati o danneggiati;

i dispositivi di sicurezza. Eliminare prontamente eventuali inizi di

ruggine. Utilizzare sempre parti di ricambio originali del

Costruttore. Controllare che non vengano dimenticati

attrezzi a seguito delle operazioni di manutenzione.

3.3.5 Assistenza Gli intervalli di assistenza raccomandati dal

costruttore non devono mai essere superati. Se risulta necessario usare parti di ricambio

diverse da quelle specificate dal Costruttore, questi cambiamenti sono da considerarsi come modifiche e necessitano dell’autorizzazione scritta del Costruttore e dell’Autorità preposta ai controlli periodici.

3.3.6Riparazione La riparazione di parti danneggiate deve essere effettuata con cautela, poiché questo potrebbe portare ad allontanarsi dai documenti del progetto originale. Ad esempio l’irrigidimento o rafforzamento di un componente può produrre tensioni maggiori nei componenti vicini, che poi a turno si guastano. Cambiamenti di questo tipo devono essere considerati modifiche pertanto necessitano dell’autorizzazione scritta del Costruttore e dell’Autorità preposta ai controlli periodici.

3.3.4 General maintenance A proper, efficient and periodical maintenance assures the longest life of all structures and machinery and reduces the danger of accidents. Carry out a careful maintenance according to the programme stated in this manual. Check periodically: the structures; the tightening of bolts; the condition of joints and welding; the condition and operation of mechanical

safety devices; the lifting, sliding, driving devices, promptly

replacing any worn or damaged components; the safety devices. Promptly remove any rust and treat the surface

to prevent recurrence. Always use original spare parts from the

Manufacturer. Check not to forget tools after the maintenance

operations. 3.3.5 Service The intervals’ service recommended by the

Manufacturer shall never exceeded. If it results necessary to use spare parts (which

are) different to those specified by the Manufacturer these changes shall be considered as modifications and they need the written authorization of the Manufacturer and of the Authority appointed to conduct the periodical checks.

3.3.6 Reparation The reparation of damaged parts shall be carried out with caution as this should be lead to a departure from the original design documents. For example, the stiffening or strengthening of a component can produce higher tension in adjacent components, which then in turn fail. Changes of this kind shall be considered as modifications, therefore require the written authorization of the Manufacturer and of the Authority appointed to conduct the periodical checks.





3.3.7 Condizioni atmosferiche limitanti il funzionamento Si raccomanda di usare particolare cautela in

caso di vento forte. Non montare o smontare l’attrazione in caso di

vento. Non utilizzare l’attrazione in caso di condizioni

atmosferiche avverse. L’attrazione non è stata calcolata per carico da

neve, per cui l’eventuale neve deve essere prontamente sgombrata.

L’attrazione non deve funzionare quando si verificano le seguenti condizioni atmosferiche: Forte pioggia, neve, grandine; temporali con pericolo di fulmini; vento con velocità superiore alla massima

autorizzata nella documentazione progettuale di calcolo, di gestione dell’attrazione e nel Capitolo 2.

In caso di ambienti umidi (nebbia, ecc.) o

precipitazioni atmosferiche, alcune parti dell’attrazione possono diventare maggiormente sdrucciolevoli: provvedere quindi alla rimozione dei depositi d’acqua ed effettuare frequenti asciugature delle aree interessate.

3.3.8 Riconoscere la velocità del vento E’ importante saper riconoscere la velocità del vento e la direzione del vento e gli effetti che esso produce sulle strutture. In mancanza di appositi strumenti di misura (per esempio anemometri) che forniscono indicazioni numeriche precise, esiste un metodo visivo che consente una stima di massima della velocità. La tabella riportata in questo paragrafo fornisce questa guida. Si raccomanda un uso estremamente prudente, trattandosi di valutazioni soggettive che gli operatori addetti devono fare in presenza di vento, basandosi principalmente sulla propria esperienza. 3.3.7 Weather conditions limiting the operation It is recommended to be particularly careful in

case of strong wind. Do not assemble or disassemble in windy

conditions. Do not use the ride during adverse weather

conditions. The ride was not calculated for snow load, so

the eventual snow shall be immediately removed.

The ride shall not work under the following weather conditions: Heavy rain, snow, hail; storms with lightning risk; Wind with speed higher than maximum speed

authorized in the ride’s design documents and in the Chapter 2.

In case of humid climates (fog, etc.) or of

atmospheric precipitations some parts of the ride can become more slippery: provide for the removal of water and dry frequently the areas concerned.

3.3.8 How to know the wind speed It is important to be able to know the speed and the direction of wind and the effects it can have on the structures. In absence of special measuring instruments (e.g. wind gauge) giving precise numerical indications, there is a visual method allowing a broad assessment of speed. The following table (in this paragraph) provides this guideline. It is recommended to use it with caution as it is a subjective assessment that the appointed operators shall apply in case of wind along with their own experience. 3.4 ADDESTRAMENTO DEGLI OPERATORI Le informazioni contenute in questo paragrafo sono un ausilio per i responsabili dell’attrazione che hanno il compito di addestrare il personale addetto. L’addestramento specifico sulla singola attrazione viene concordato con il Costruttore. La conduzione delle attrazioni deve tenere conto della sicurezza delle persone e dei beni situati nel loro campo di azione. Le attrazioni sono spesso macchine di considerevole valore e occupano una posizione chiave nei parchi di divertimento. Gli operatori devono perciò essere attentamente selezionati e devono ricevere un addestramento di base di esperti specializzati. E’ anche essenziale che le persone che fanno parte della squadra di montaggio ricevono un appropriato addestramento. E’ consigliato tenere una registrazione di tutto l’addestramento impartito e di tutti i test svolti per accertare la comprensione degli operatori addetti all’attrazione. Il personale dovrà seguire regolarmente corsi di addestramento e di aggiornamento, specialmente dopo cambiamenti causati da una modifica connessa con la sicurezza, o un cambiamento del modo con cui viene gestito il pubblico. Se viene cambiato l’impianto di illuminazione, si introduce del fumo o si modificano i punti di accesso a un dispositivo, sarà necessario valutare questi effetti e se le procedure debbano essere cambiate. 3.4.1 Attitudini e conoscenze Gli operatori devono avere almeno l’età minima prevista dalla legislazione vigente. Devono essere riconosciuti idonei dal punto di vista medico a esercitare la professione. Si deve inoltre tenere conto dei seguenti aspetti: Aspetto fisico: vista e udito; mancanza di vertigini quando si opera ad una

certa altezza; assenza di disturbi e infermità inabilitanti per le

mansioni previste; assenza di disturbi dovuti a droga o alcool.

3.4 STAFF TRAINING The information provided in this paragraph can help the ride’s responsible that are allowed to train the staff. If lighting is modified, smoke introduced or access points altered to a device, their resultant effects must be assessed and procedures should be changed as necessary. 3.4.1 Aptitude and knowledge The operators shall be at least of the age stated by the laws in force. They shall be acknowledged as medically fit for this job. The following shall be considered: Physical aspects: sight and hearing; lack of vertigo while working in a certain

height; lack of ailments and illnesses which could

adversely affect the capability to conduct prescribed tasks;

lack of ailments due to drugs or alcohol.

Gli operatori devono essere in grado di capire e leggere la lingua nella quale sono scritti i documenti e le targhe di informazione delle attrazione e delle unità passeggeri. Se gli operatori devono movimentare l’attrazione su strada, devono conoscere la relativa legislazione e avere la documentazione necessaria e possedere l’autorizzazione alla guida se richiesta dalla legislazione locale. 3.4.2 Obiettivi dell’addestramento Gli obiettivi dell’addestramento sono: A)Fornire la completa conoscenza delle regole applicabili alle attrazioni e al loro ambiente, per metterle in servizio, fuori servizio e utilizzarle in tutta sicurezza. B)Fornire la conoscenza dei segnali a mano, comunicazioni radio, attrezzature e tecnica per movimentazione carichi e montaggio, sufficiente affinché l’operatore: esegua le operazioni efficacemente e senza

pericolo per sé e gli altri; sia in grado di effettuare operazioni normali e di

emergenza. C)Fornire la conoscenza tecnica delle attrazioni, delle unità passeggeri, delle loro caratteristiche, dell’utilizzo, dei meccanismi e dei dispositivi di sicurezza, sufficienti per: condurre diverse attrazioni dello stesso tipo; fare uso ottimale delle loro caratteristiche; identificare i difetti; compiere controlli e ispezioni; sapere come utilizzare la documentazione a

corredo.

Tests can be carried out to establish the aptitude of the operators (manual dexterity, attention, common sense, self-control, calm, precision, coordination of movements and reflexes). The operators shall be able to understand and to read the language used for the documents and notices of the ride and of the passenger units. If the operators have to move the ride on the road, they shall know the laws, have the necessary documents and have the driving authorization if required by the local laws. 3.4.2 Aims of training The aims of training are the following: A)To provide the overall knowledge of the rules applied to the rides and their environment to put them into use, take them out of use and to use them safely; B)to provide such knowledge of the manual signs, radio communications, equipment and methods of loading and assembly, to allow the operator to: carry out the operations correctly and safely for

himself and for others ; to be able to carry out normal and emergency

operations; C)to provide such technical knowledge of rides, of cars, of their characteristics, of their use, of the machinery and safety devices to: run different rides of the same kind; use their characteristics as well as possible; deal with defects; carry out controls and inspections; know how to use the documents provided with

the ride;





D)L’acquisizione dell’abilità di conduzione e utilizzo relativa a: modalità di funzionamento; valutazione e selezione dei passeggeri; uso ottimale dei dispositivi di comando e della

strumentazione in dotazione all’attrazione. E)Fornire la conoscenza degli interventi di primo soccorso da prestare ai passeggeri e al pubblico in caso di malori e/o incidenti. 3.4.3 Programma teorico Il programma è l’elenco di quanto deve essere insegnato. Esso è dato qui di seguito per argomenti e non cronologicamente. L’Operatore: le sue attitudini e responsabilità; il suo ruolo e le sue mansioni nelle varie fasi di

vita dell’attrazione (montaggio, uso, ispezione, ecc.)

Tecnologia delle attrezzature per parchi di divertimento: terminologia e caratteristiche; tipologie di attrazioni; motori (principi operativi); meccanismi (catena cinematica, principio

operativo e comando appropriato); freni, limitatori di spostamento e velocità

(principi operativi e prove); apparecchiature elettriche per comando a

distanza (principio operativo, funzioni di sicurezza: prove e montaggio);

apparecchi di commando idraulici e pneumatici (principio operativo, funzioni di sicurezza: prove e montaggio);

dispositivi di sicurezza (principio operativo: prove e montaggio).

Messa in servizio e fuori servizio: collegamento e appoggi a terra (stabilizzatori,

sistemi di ancoraggio); montaggio specifico (con dispositivi di

controllo; funzionamento senza passeggeri e con zavorre; funzionamento automatico e manuale; Esercizi di montaggio/smontaggio. Esercizi nell’uso, prove, manutenzione e situazioni di emergenza: procedure di avviamento e di arresto; ispezioni regolari (freni, dispositivi di sicurezza,

ecc.); controllo lubrificazioni e livello; procedure di emergenza. 3.4.5 Manutenzione preventiva Una manutenzione preventiva è la migliore garanzia per una corretta gestione. L’operatore dovrebbe ispezionare e pulire la giostra giornalmente. Eseguire la lubrificazione come da intervalli raccomandati.

3.4.6 Manutenzione per le prime due settimane di servizio La giostra viene completamente collaudata e controllata prima di lasciare la fabbrica. Controllare il corretto serraggio di tutti i bulloni. 3.4.7 Procedure di segnalazione dei guasti Prima di domandare assistenza al Costruttore per eventuali problemi ad una giostra, è necessario eseguire alcune operazioni di base per sveltire la procedura di intervento sulla giostra: Prendere nota del numero di serie e del nome

della giostra. Tenere il manuale pronto da usare per eventuali

riferimenti. Tenere nota dei nominativi dei precedenti

proprietari della giostra e dei cambiamenti apportati alla struttura dal rilascio alla fabbrica.

Prendere nota del nome della persona di riferimento presso la ditta costruttrice e domandare di essere seguiti dal referente abituale nel proseguo dell’assistenza.

Fornire il numero di telefono completo alla ditta costruttrice.

Fornire tutte le istruzioni necessarie per la spedizione dei ricambi.

Segnalare tutte le alterazioni e modifiche che sono avvenute sulla giostra.

Assicurarsi che la persona che segnala il guasto sia competente e quindi atta a descrivere le varie problematiche della giostra, come ad esempio: se il problema è una cosa graduale, se è improvvisamente scomparso, se si manifesta continuamente a intermittenza, se la giostra va in una sola direzione, oppure la giostra funziona ma non frena o non si ferma, ecc.

3.4.8 Lubrificazione Affinché possano funzionare in maniera affidabile, i cuscinetti e le parti meccaniche in rotazione devono essere adeguatamente lubrificate: la loro lubrificazione serve ad impedire contatti diretti, metallo su metallo, tra le parti interessate al rotolamento. La scelta di un lubrificante adatto e del metodo di lubrificazione specifico per ogni applicazione è quindi importante, così come una lubrificazione ben fatta.

Be sure that the person reporting the trouble be qualified and consequently able to describe the problems of the ride such as: if the problem is gradual, if it has suddenly disappeared, if it happens continuously at intervals, if the ride works in one single direction, or if the ride works but cannot be braked or stopped, etc.

3.4.8 Lubrication For a correct operation, the bearings and the mechanic parts in rotation must be properly lubricated: their lubrication has the function of preventing direct contacts, metal on metal, amongst the part concerned in the rotation. The choice of the appropriate lubricant and of the specific method of lubrication for each application is as important as a good lubrication.

Sul mercato è disponibile una grande varietà di lubrificanti di tipi apparentemente identici, tra i quali si consiglia di utilizzare grassi al sapone di litio con caratteristiche EP (estrema pressione) che hanno un campo di temperatura di lavoro molto vasto (da -30 a +110 °C), adatti agli impieghi richiesti. 3.4.9 Rilubrificazione Per decidere il momento in cui provvedere alla rilubrificazione, occorre vagliare molti fattori che sono interconnessi in maniera piuttosto complessa. Si tratta di fattori che comprendono la velocità di rotazione, la temperatura di lavoro, il tipo di grasso e l’ambiente in cui opera. E’ pertanto possibile soltanto fornire indicazioni generali basate su dati statistici: I grassi di tabella sono consigliati da Soriani s.r.l. 3.4.10 Stoccaggio Per i riduttori lasciati inattivi per lunghi periodi è necessario prevedere una protezione adeguata, in modo particolare per le unità operanti all’aperto o in ambiente salino. Proteggere le parti esterne soggette ad ossidazioni con prodotti adeguati ripristinandoli periodicamente. Riempire i riduttori e chiuderli ermeticamente. A intervalli di 4-5 mesi effettuare una rotazione dell’albero.

The choice of the lubricant depends above all from the conditions of the part to lubricate, that is to say from temperature, speed and the environment. Due to the mechanic action, aging and accumulation of impurities, the lubricant put into a system loses its properties gradually; it is, therefore, necessary to make it up or replace it from time to time. There is a large variety of lubricants on the market which are apparently of the same type; it is advisable to use lithium soap greases with EP characteristics (extreme pressure) having a wide range of working temperature (from -30 to +110°C) suitable to the required usage. 3.4.9 Relubrication In order to decide when relubrication is to be carried out, it is necessary to consider lots of factors that are interconnected in a rather complex way. These factors include the speed of rotation, working temperature, the type of grease and the environment. It is, therefore, possible to give only general indications based on statistic data: Greases’ Table recommended from Soriani s.r.l.

3.4.10 Stocking An appropriate protection is to be arranged for as regards reduction gears left inactive over long periods, in particular for the units operating in the out door or in a salty environment. External parts subject to oxidation must be protected with suitable products replacing them periodically. Fill up reduction gears and seal them hermetically. Every 4-5 months rotate the shaft.

L'imbracatura Full Body consente un maggiore accesso alla giostra per gli utenti senza le estremità complete. Viene consegnata con cinture e moschettoni permanenti ed è disponibile in due diverse dimensioni adatte per essere utilizzate su un sedile specificatamente progettato. L'imbracatura per il corpo per gli ospiti portatori di handicap può essere utilizzata a condizione che la porzione rimanente della gamba amputata si estenda di almeno 4 pollici oltre la fascia per le gambe e / o la porzione rimanente del braccio amputato sia di almeno 6 pollici

3.5 Passengers with big disabilities The passengers with big disabilities can ride the attraction using the Full Body Harness according the limits describes in the following picture and on the matrix on chapter 3.3.3. The Full Body Harness allows greater access to the ride for riders without full extremities. lt is delivered with permanent Lanyards and Carabiners and is available in two different sizes suitable to be used on a specific designed seat. The full body harness for handicapped guest can be used under the condition that the remaining portion of the amputated leg extends at least 4 inches further than the leg strap and/or the remaining portion of the amputated arm is at least 6 inches.

CHAPTER 4 TRANSPORT AND INSTALLATION 4.1 READING GUIDE OF THE CHAPTER: In this chapter you can find all the information and illustrations for the operation of the ride. The subjects of this chapter are: Controller. Operator. After having read this chapter, the subjects shall know how to transport, to move and to assemble the attraction without risks.





4.2 AVVERTENZE DI SICUREZZA IN FASE DI TRASPORTO E INSTALLAZIONE: ATTENZIONE Le operazioni di sollevamento, movimentazione, trasporto dell’attrazione e dei suoi componenti devono essere affidate esclusivamente a personale che sia esperto in tale tipo di operazione. Durante le operazioni il personale deve indossare mezzi di protezione individuale previsti dalla legislazione vigente nel paese di installazione e utilizzo dell’attrazione (ex.: elmetti, guanti, scarpe antinfortunistica, tute da lavoro, ecc.). Il personale deve rispettare, tra le altre, le seguenti regole generali: allontanarsi dai carichi prima del sollevamento

e abbassamento; non sostare sotto i carichi sospesi; tenere lontane le persone estranee ai lavori. Trascurare queste precauzioni può causare danni alle persone e alle cose. Anche il trasporto deve essere effettuato da personale qualificato, istruito e autorizzato.

4.2 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS DURING TRANSPORT AND INSTALLATION: WARNING The operations of lifting, moving and transporting of the attraction and its components must be carried out by an expert staff exclusively in this type of operation. During these operations the staff has to wear personal protection equipments foreseen by the laws in force in the Country where the attraction is used and installed (for example: helmets, gloves, protection shoes, overalls, etc.). Staff shall also observe the following rules: walk away from the loads before lifting and

lowering; do not stand under suspended loads; keep unauthorized persons away. Ignore these cautions can provoke impairments to people and things. Transport shall be also made by qualified, prepared and authorised staff.





4.3 DOCUMENTI E ATTREZZATURE A CORREDO DELL’ATTRAZIONE: 4.3.1 Documenti: Per eseguire correttamente l’installazione dell’attrazione, vengono forniti i seguenti documenti: il presente manuale; disegni degli ingombri dell’attrazione e delle

sue apparecchiature ausiliarie staccate; disegni della corretta collocazione e messa a

livello dell’attrazione; indicazioni sugli accorgimenti tecnici previsti, o

da adottare, per limitare le vibrazioni e il rumore;

prescrizioni di appoggi, fissaggi/ancoraggi dell’attrazione;

schemi e istruzioni sul corretto collegamento dell’attrazione o di sue parti alle fonti di energia, con indicazione dei dati necessari per la scelta dei dispositivi di protezione da installare.

4.3 DOCUMENTS AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE RIDE: 4.3.1 Documents: To install correctly the amusement ride, are given these documents: this manual; drawings of the ride’s lay out and auxiliary

detached equipment; drawings for the correct collocation and setting-

up of the ride on a plane level; indications on foreseen technical adjustments,

or to be adopted in order to limit the vibrations and noise;

prescriptions of supports, fastenings/anchorage of the ride;

diagrams and instructions on the correct connection of the ride or its parts at the energy source, with indication of the necessary data in order to choose the protection devices that shall be installed.





4.4 VERIFICA DEI REQUISITI E CONDIZIONI PER L’INSTALLAZIONE: Le verifiche da effettuare sono dei seguenti tipi: semplici ispezioni per rilevare ad esempio: stato

e livellamento del terreno, deflusso acqua piovana;

semplici ispezioni documentali (con mappe) per rilevare ad esempio: fognature, cavi, ecc.;

ricerche strumentali (per tubi, ecc.). Luoghi oggetto delle verifiche: suolo (tombini, asperità, consistenza, ecc.); sottosuolo (cavi, canali, fognature, ecc.); soprassuolo (ostacoli per l’attrazione o per il

pubblico, condutture aeree, ecc.); adiacenze (edifici, depositi di materiali

particolari o pericolosi). Operatori e competenze: Le verifiche devono essere effettuate dal controllore dell’attrazione. Operazioni di verifica: Pericoli meccanici (cedimenti, sprofondamenti,

urti, collisioni, ecc.). Pericoli elettrici (linee elettriche aeree, ecc.). Pericoli da emissioni (rumore, vibrazioni, fumi,

vapori, disturbi elettromagnetici dovuti a linee dell’alta tensione).

Verificare le caratteristiche del terreno, per

accertare la conformità alle norme vigenti nel paese d’installazione e alle istruzioni del Costruttore.

Verificare le condizioni particolari del terreno e

degli appoggi, con riferimento alle norme (e alle istruzioni del costruttore) per il collocamento dell’attrazione.

Verificare le condizioni e la collocazione di

altre attrazioni e/o strutture o oggetti fissi, spazi liberi necessari, accesso dei mezzi di soccorso, ecc..

Verificare la presenza e la dislocazione dei

mezzi antincendio e la loro facile accessibilità rispetto all’installazione dell’attrazione.

4.4 CHECK OF REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION: The following kinds of check shall be carried out: simple inspections to notice e.g.: condition and

levelling of the ground, discharge of rainwater, etc;

simple documentary inspections (with maps) in order to notice e.g.: drainage systems, cables, etc;

instrumental researches (for pipes, etc.). Places subject to verifications: ground (manholes, irregularities, consistency,

etc.); underground (cables, ducts, sewers, etc.); topsoil (obstacles for the ride or for the public,

aerial conduits, etc.); surroundings (buildings, stores of particular or

dangerous materials). Operators and tasks: Checks shall be carried out by the controller of the attraction. Checks operations: Mechanical dangers (sinking, subsidence,

crashes, collisions, etc.). Electrical dangers (electrical aerial lines, etc.). Dangers from emissions (noise, vibrations,

fumes, vapours, electromagnetic disturbances due to high-tension lines).

Verify the characteristics of the ground in order

to ascertain the compliance with the rules in force on site and with the instructions of the Manufacturer.

Verify the particular conditions of the ground

and of the packing units, referring to the standards (and to the instructions of the Manufacturer) for the siting of the attraction.

Verify the conditions and the siting of other

attractions and/or structures or fixed objects, necessary free spaces, access routes for emergency vehicles, etc..

Verify the presence and location of the fire-

fighting equipment and their easy access as to the installation of the ride.





4.4.1 Collocazione e installazione dell’attrazione: L’installazione dell’attrazione deve essere sempre effettuata in un area sgombra da ostacoli, tale da permettere le normali operazioni di uso e di manutenzione in sicurezza. Scegliere la posizione e l’orientamento dell’attrazione verificando in particolare: la posizione relativa delle altre attrazioni già

presenti nell’area del parco divertimenti; che non si creino sollevamenti pericolosi causati

dalla forza del vento (effetto imbuto); che il pubblico possa accedere in modo sicuro ai

punti di entrata e uscita dell’attrazione; che siano agevoli e praticabili gli accessi e le vie

di fuga in caso di emergenza; che vi siano spazi sufficientemente ampi per

permettere le operazioni di soccorso da parte di ambulanze, vigili del fuoco e altri mezzi di soccorso;

che la collocazione degli idranti fissi e/o mobili e degli altri mezzi antincendio ne consenta una buona visibilità e un facile accesso in caso di emergenza;

che esistano spazi idonei per le postazioni di lavoro e di comando;

la possibilità di realizzare gli allacciamenti alle reti di alimentazione (elettrica, idrica, ecc.);

i requisiti del sottosuolo e quindi la possibilità di costruire fondazioni, pavimenti, linee interrate, ecc.;

la possibilità di apertura di porte, protettori, coperchi, ecc.;

che il luogo prescelto per l’istallazione non sia vicino a depositi di solventi, ne a locali con lavorazioni che possono creare atmosfere infiammabili o esplosive;

il deflusso delle acque piovane sia tale da non provocare ristagni nei punti di appoggio dell’attrazione, riducendo la portanza del terreno.

4.4.1 Siting and installation of the attraction: The installation shall always be carried out in an area without obstacles, so that it is possible to carry out the normal use and maintenance operations. Choose the siting and the orientation of the

attraction verifying in particular: The relative position of the other rides still

presents in the funfair’s area; that there is no dangerous uplift present which

may be caused by the action of wind forces (bottleneck effect);

that the public can safely reach access and egress points;

that the access and escape routes are easy and practicable in case of emergency;

that there are sufficient clearances to allow the emergency operations of ambulances, fire brigade and other rescue vehicles;

that the location of fixed and/or mobile fire hydrants and of other fire-fighting equipment allows their good visibility and easy access in case of emergency;

the availability of suitable work and control sites;

the possibility to connect to the supply mains (electrical network, water supply, etc.);

the characteristics of the subsoil to assess the possibility of building foundations, floors, underground lines, etc.;

the clearance for the opening of doors, protection devices, covers, etc.;

that the area for the siting is not next to solvent depots or buildings for other such works that could create inflammable or explosive atmospheres;

that the discharge of rainwater does not cause stagnation at the bearing points of the ride, thus reducing the load-bearing capacity of the ground.





ATTENZIONE Prestare molta attenzione alle linee di alimentazione sopraelevate. Verificare se vi sono gli spazi sufficienti per operare in completa sicurezza. In presenza di cavi per alta tensione esiste il pericolo di archi voltaici, soprattutto in condizioni atmosferiche particolari (nebbia, ecc.). Le zone intorno all’attrazione in cui è vietato il transito di persone e/o mezzi di movimentazione, devono essere identificate e delimitate con sistemi come: transenne; catene; altri mezzi previsti dalla legislazione vigente nel

paese di installazione. Verificare che le soluzioni suggerite in Figura siano conformi alle prescrizioni della legislazione vigente nel luogo in cui l’attrazione è installata.

WARNING:

Pay great attention to the overhead supply power lines. Verify that there are suitable clearances to work in complete safety. If there are high tension cables, there is the hazard of electric arcs, especially in particular atmospheric conditions (fog, etc.). Zones around the amusement where people and/or transports pass through must be identify and delimited with systems like: barriers; chains; other means foreseen by the law in force on site. Verify that the reminded solutions in the picture could be appropriate to the laws’ prescriptions.





ATTENZIONE Verificare se vi sono gli spazi sufficienti per operare in completa sicurezza. Nel caso ci fossero dei cavi elettrici la distanza dovrà essere di 5 metri.

WARNING Verify that there are suitable clearances to work in complete safety. In case there could be electric cables, the distance will have to be of 5 meters.





4.4.2 Caratteristiche del terreno: Arrivati sul luogo destinato a ospitare l’attrazione occorre prima di tutto fare un accurato controllo dello stato del terreno. Il controllo deve essere ripetuto periodicamente per verificare che non vi sia deterioramento nella sua capacità di portare il carico, in particolar modo quando vi sono cattive condizioni atmosferiche. E’ utile conoscere la storicità del terreno della zona destinata ad ospitare l’attrazione. Precedenti utilizzazioni per spettacoli viaggianti o attività similari consentono una migliore valutazione nella scelta della zona idonea all’installazione dell’attrazione. Il terreno non deve presentare pendenze o irregolarità tali da compromettere il montaggio e il funzionamento dell’attrazione in sicurezza. Il deflusso e il drenaggio delle acque piovane e/o di scarico deve essere tale da non provocare ristagni che inducano la portanza del terreno. Nel caso in cui l’istallazione debba avvenire su un terreno con consistenza non ottimale, occorre predisporre tavole e tappi in legno per ripartire la pressione e limitare il cedimento degli appoggi. E’ importantissimo conoscere la portanza del terreno del luogo in cui si deve montare l’attrazione. Se non si conosce l’effettiva portanza del terreno, espressa come pressione ammissibile al suolo, deve essere accertata da tecnici specializzati o richiesta alle autorità competenti e ai responsabili del parco. Esaminare attentamente il terreno o la piazza perché nessun cilindro stabilizzatore o piede d’appoggio venga a trovarsi su tombini, fognature, condotte d’acqua o di cavi elettrici ecc., che potrebbero cedere sotto il peso delle strutture.

4.4.2 Characteristics of the ground: When arriving on site check carefully the condition of the ground. Check the ground regularly to verify that its load-bearing capacity has not deteriorated, particularly in case of adverse weather conditions. It is useful to know the history of the ground and of the site where the attraction is going to be installed. A previous use of the ground for amusement devices or similar allows a better assessment while choosing an area suitable for the erection of the attraction. The ground shall not have such slopes or unevenness that could endanger the safe assembly and operation of the attraction. The flow and drainage of rainwater and/or waste water shall not cause stagnation which could reduce the load bearing capacity of the ground. If the attraction is to be installed on ground the of which the consistency is not optimal, you have to prepare wooden packing units in order to distribute the load and to limit the settlement of the supports. It is very important to know the load bearing capacity of the site. If the real load bearing capacity of the ground is not known, expressed as permissible pressure on the ground, this shall be assessed by engineers, or request it from the competent authorities or the persons responsible for the park. Check the ground or the square carefully to verify that no stabilizer or support leans on manholes, sewers, water ducts or ducts for electric cables, etc. that could collapse under the weight of the structure.





Il controllore, nel fare le verifiche deve identificare le fonti di pericolo presenti nell’area (al suolo, nel sottosuolo e soprasuolo) e valutare i rischi che ne possono derivare: per gli addetti ai lavori, in particolare durante le

fasi di movimentazione veicoli, montaggio, smontaggio, regolazioni, prove e manutenzioni;

per gli addetti e/o per il pubblico durante il funzionamento;

per gli addetti e/o per il pubblico e/o per terzi, quando transitano o sostano, con veicoli o a piedi, per il parco divertimenti;

per il personale addetto alle funzioni di soccorso.

Per ciascun rischio devono essere adottate misure idonee alla prevenzione degli infortuni o danni alla salute o alle cose. Prima di installare l’attrazione occorre verificare che non esistano servizi sopraelevati o sotterranei che possono presentare pericoli. Se necessario richiedere alle varie autorità competenti (presenti nel luogo di installazione e utilizzo dell’attrazione) tutte le informazioni necessarie per adottare le precauzioni idonee a prevenire incidenti o interferenze con il funzionamento sicuro dell’attrazione. ATTENZIONE Prestare molta attenzione alle linee elettriche aeree. Verificare se vi sono gli spazi sufficienti per operare in completa sicurezza.

The Controller during these checks shall identify the hazard sources of the area (on the ground, in the underground and topsoil) and check the risks which could arise from them: for the workers, in particular during the motion

of the vehicles, during the assembly, dismantling, adjustments, checks and maintenance;

for the staff and/or the public during the operation;

for the staff and/or public and/or third party standing or travelling in vehicles or walking around the amusement park;

for the rescue staff. Suitable steps shall be taken for every hazard in order to prevent injuries or damage to the people or equipment. Before installing the attraction verify that no underground or overhead service can provoke dangerous situations. If necessary ask the various competent authorities (present on site) for all information necessary to take suitable steps in order to prevent accidents without affecting the safe operation of the attraction.

WARNING Be very careful of the overhead power cables. Verify that there are safe working clearances.





4.5 MONTAGGIO: 4.5.1 Avvertenze generali: ATTENZIONE L’errato o non corretto montaggio e smontaggio dell’attrazione e/o di sue parti può recare danno all’attrazione stessa e dar luogo a rischi per gli operatore. L’operazione di montaggio deve essere eseguita da operatori autorizzati, istruiti e deve avvenire nel rispetto delle istruzioni contenute nel presente manuale. Durante le operazioni di montaggio o smontaggio dell’attrazione NON è ammessa la presenza di estranei ai lavori (pubblico, curiosi, ecc.).

ATTENZIONE PRIMA DI EFFETTUARE IL MONTAGGIO DELL’ATTRAZIONE, GLI OPERATORI ADDETTI E I TECNICI SPECIALIZZATI DEVONO LEGGERE ATTENTAMENTE LE ISTRUZIONI CONTENUTE NEL PRESENTE DOCUMENTO (e relativi allegati) E SEGUIRLE DURANTE L’ESECUZIONE DELLE OPERAZIONI. E’ VIETATO montare o smontare l’attrazione in condizioni atmosferiche avverse (neve, nebbia, ghiaccio, ecc.) e in particolare in presenza di vento. Esiste il pericolo di ribaltamento delle strutture e, per gli operatori, di essere investiti da parti mobili spinte dal vento. NON E’ CONSENTITO OPERARE IN CASO DI DUBBI SULLA CORRETTA INTERPRETAZIONE DELLE ISTRUZIONI. INTERPELLARE IL COSTRUTTORE O IL CENTRO ASSISTENZA PER OTTENERE I NECESSARI CHIARIMENTI. Per l’installazione occorre predisporre un’area adeguata alle dimensioni dell’attrazione e dei mezzi di sollevamento utilizzati, facendo attenzione a eventuali ostacoli (altre attrazioni, edifici, veicoli, ecc.) presenti lungo il percorso che devono compiere i mezzi di movimentazione.

4.5 ASSEMBLY: 4.5.1 General: WARNING The wrong or poor assembly and dismantling of the attraction and/of its parts can damage the attraction and endanger the operators. The assembly shall be carried out by authorized and trained staff and in accordance with the directions of this manual. Unauthorized access (public, onlookers, etc.) is NOT allowed during the assembly and dismantling of the attraction.

WARNING BEFORE CARRYING OUT THE ASSEMBLY OF THE ATTRACTION, THE APPOINTED OPERATORS AND THE ENGINEERS SHALL READ CAREFULLY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL (and relative enclosures) AND OBSERVE THEM DURING THE WORKS. DO NOT assemble or dismantle the ride in adverse weather conditions (snow, fog, ice, etc.) and particularly in case of wind. There is the hazard of overturning of the structures and mobile parts driven by wind could hit the operators. DO NOT WORK IF YOU HAVE DOUBTS ABOUT THE CORRECT INTERPRETATION OF THE INSTRUCTIONS. ASK THE MANUFACTURER OR THE SERVICE CENTRE FOR THE NECESSARY EXPLANATIONS. It is necessary to prepare for the installation an area fit for the dimensions of the attraction and of the lifting equipment to be used, paying attention to eventual obstacles (other rides, buildings, vehicles, etc.) placed along the route of the equipment.





4.5.2 Operazione di montaggio e smontaggio dell’attrazione: L’operazione di montaggio dell’attrazione è riservata esclusivamente alle seguenti categorie di operatori: Controllore; Operatori istruiti, addestrati e autorizzati al

montaggio. Prima di compiere l’operazione di montaggio dell’attrazione è necessario ottenere le autorizzazioni e/o i permessi previsti dalla legislazione vigente nel paese di installazione.

ATTENZIONE Per il corretto montaggio è bene seguire attentamente le operazioni riportate nelle pagine seguenti.

4.5.2 Assembly and disassembly of the attraction: The assembly of the ride can be carried out only by the following operators: Controller; Trained and experienced operators authorized to

conduct the assembly. Before carrying out the assembly of the attraction it is necessary to obtain the authorizations and/or the licences provided for by the laws in force in the Country where the ride is installed.

WARNING For the correct assemblage it is recommended to follow the operations listed in the following pages.

CAPITOLO 5 CONTROLLI GIORNALIERI 5.1 INGRASSAGGIO COMPONENTI Per ogni lubrificazione e per ogni altra successiva, bisogna usare solo lubrificanti privi di acidi, di resina, non igroscopici, resistenti all’invecchiamento e con campo di variazione alla temperatura idonea all’impiego del cuscinetto (l’ordine di elencazione non classifica la loro qualità). La frequenza delle lubrificazioni va scelta in base alle condizioni di esercizio ma comunque non deve essere superiore in nessun caso alle 10 ore di funzionamento. Si raccomandano inoltre, lubrificazioni più frequenti in ambienti molto umidi, polverosi, soggetti a forte sbalzo termico oppure in presenza di rotazione continua. L’ingrassaggio completo delle ralle ha lo scopo di ridurre l’attrito, fare tenuta e proteggere dalla corrosione. Si raccomanda quindi di ingrassare in modo tale che il grasso esca dalle guarnizioni di tenuta e che formi un cordone di grasso lungo lo sviluppo circonferenziale. Effettuare queste operazioni a macchina ferma; quindi avviare la giostra per qualche giro a vuoto di passeggeri e ripetere le operazioni fino a che non si verifichino le condizioni prestabilite. Fare attenzione che durante le operazioni di lavaggio nessun detergente penetri nel sistema di rotolamento o danneggi le guarnizioni di tenuta perché tra i corpi evolventi vi sono dei distanziali in materiale plastico (l’impiego dei prodotti aggressivi muta le proprietà del grasso, corrode le piste di rotolamento e danneggia i distanziali).

CHAPTER 5 DAILY CHECKS 5.1 GREASING OF COMPONENTS For each lubrication and for the successive ones, they must be used only lubricants without acids, resin, non hygroscopic, wear proof and with a range of variation to temperature that is suitable to the use of the bearing (the list order does not classifies their quality). The frequency of the lubrications must be chosen according to the working conditions, but in any case it must not exceed 10 working hours. Moreover, they are recommended more frequent lubrications in environments that are very humid, dusty, subject to sudden changes in temperature or in the presence of continue rotation. The complete greasing of the ball bearings has the purpose of reducing the friction, acting as a seal and protecting from corrosion. It is advisable therefore to grease in such a way that the grease comes out of the grommets and forms a greasy cord along the circle. These operations must be carried out when the machine is stopped; then, the ride must be started for some revolutions without passengers and the operations repeated until the prefixed conditions occur. Be careful that during cleaning operations no detergent goes inside the rolling system or damages the grommets because between the rolling bodies there are some plastic spacers (the use of aggressive products changes the properties of the grease, corrodes the rolling tracks and damages the spacers).





5.1.1 Ingrassaggio delle spine principali Pompare regolarmente grasso all’interno degli ingrassatori per il movimento dei bracci colonna. Effettuare questa operazione una volta al giorno, utilizzando sempre uno dei grassi indicati in TABELLA (vedi Page 321, Grassi per sistema di rotolamento).

5.1.1 Greasing of the main Pins Regularly pump grease inside the articulation for the column arms motion, by means of the greasers. This operation must be carried out once a day, using one of the grease indicated in the TABLE (see Page 3-21, Greases for rolling system).





5.1.2 Ingrassaggio snodi cilindro (sistema di rotolamento) Pompare regolarmente grasso all’interno degli snodi del cilindro per il movimento braccio, tramite gli appositi ingrassatori. Effettuare questa operazione una volta al giorno, utilizzando sempre uno dei grassi indicati in TABELLA (vedi Page 3-21, Grassi per sistema di rotolamento).

5.1.2 Greasing of articulation cylinder (rolling system) Regularly pump grease inside the articulation cylinder for the arm motion, by means of the greasers. This operation must be carried out once a day, using one of the grease indicated in the TABLE (see Page 3-21, Greases for rolling system).





5.1.3 Ingrassaggio botte centrale (denti esterni) Aprire lo sportello di ispezione ed ingrassare regolarmente, almeno ogni 10 ore i denti esterni della ralla e del pignone per la rotazione della botte centrale. Assicurandosi che l’impianto sia fermo, utilizzare una spatola o un pennello per spalmare il grasso e togliere eventuali corpi estranei, utilizzando uno dei grassi indicati in TABELLA (vedi Page 3-21, Grassi per dentatura).

5.1.3 Greasing of rotating centre (external teeth) Open the inspection door and grease regularly the external teeth of the ball bearing and of the pinion for the rotating centre every 10 hours. Make sure that the system is stopped, then use a spatula or brush to spread the grease and remove foreign matters if any, using one of the grease indicated in the TABLE (see Page 3-21, Greases for toothing).

5.4 LUBRIFICAZIONE RIDUTTORI La corretta lubrificazione riveste una notevole riduzione nel raggiungimento delle prestazioni ottimali dei riduttori e a questo proposito è utile ricordare che un livello molto alto del lubrificante ed una viscosità elevata possono contribuire ad una notevole riduzione del rendimento, in modo particolare nei riduttori con elevate velocità di rotazione. Al contrario, nei riduttori a vite senza fine è indispensabile ricorrere a lubrificanti più viscosi per poter garantire la presenza di una pellicola lubrificante più tenace. È inoltre molto importante valutare le condizioni ambientali in cui opera il riduttore, in quanto fattori come la temperatura sono fondamentali per la scelta del corretto tipo di lubrificante e della sua viscosità.

5.4 LUBRICATION OF REDUCTION GEARS A correct lubrication is very important in order to get the best performance of the reduction gears; it is useful to remember that a high level and viscosity of the lubricant can contribute to reduce the performance in particular in the reduction gears at high speed of rotation. On the contrary, more viscous lubricants must be used with worm reduction units in order to guarantee the presence of a stronger lubricating film. Moreover, it is highly important to consider the environmental conditions in which the reduction gear is to operate since such factors as temperature are fundamental when choosing the correct type of lubricant and its viscosity.

5.4.5 Cambio olio nei riduttori Controllare eventuali perdite d’olio da sotto i riduttori, il livello ed eventualmente rabboccare i riduttori per la rotazione delle girelle, del centro e dell’eccentrico, utilizzando sempre uno degli oli indicati in TABELLA (vedi Page 5-9). Per le applicazioni più ricorrenti, in cui il gruppo lavora a temperature comprese tra -20°C e +60°C, consigliamo di usare olio lubrificante corrispondente alle prescrizioni SAE 90 EP (15°E50): -per la botte centrale riempire il gruppo con 6.2 Kg d’olio, comunque fino all’apposito livello (l’olio deve trovarsi circa a metà del tubetto. Vedi Page 5-11). E’ necessario effettuare il primo cambio di lubrificante dopo le prime 100 ore di funzionamento, e in seguito ogni 2000 ore, o perlomeno ogni 12 mesi, a seconda delle condizioni di lavoro del riduttore. Durante il cambio dell’olio è necessario pulire i tappi magnetici. Al momento del cambio consigliamo anche di provvedere ad un lavaggio interno del carter, con un liquido adatto allo scopo e consigliato dal produttore dei lubrificanti. Per evitare il depositarsi della morchia, l’olio dovrebbe essere cambiato a riduttore caldo. Nel caso si notasse che più del 10% del volume del lubrificante deve essere rabboccato, consigliamo di verificare bene se esistono eventuali perdite d’olio nel gruppo. Si deve evitare di mescolare oli di tipo diverso, sia della stessa marca che di marche differenti tra di loro. Evitare comunque di miscelare oli minerali con sintetici. Considerando normali aumenti di temperatura di 40-50°C, la scelta viene spesso fatta in relazione alla temperatura ambiente. Nel caso di grandi variazioni della temperatura, raccomandiamo l’impiego di lubrificanti sintetici, con additivi EP, indice di viscosità minimo 165 e viscosità VG 150 o 220 (ISO 3448). La temperatura di servizio continuativo non deve oltrepassare i 90°C. In fase di montaggio in fabbrica viene utilizzato lubrificante AGIP BLASIA 150. L’olio esausto deve essere smaltito nel rispetto delle Norme Vigenti.

5.4.5 Change the oil in the reduction gears Check the probable loss of the oil from down the reduction gear, level and fill up the reduction gears for the swivels rotation, centre rotation and eccentric rotation, using one of the oil indicated in the TABLE (see Page 5-9). For the most recurrent applications, where the group works at temperature ranging from -20°C and +60°C, it is advisable to use lubricating oil corresponding to the SAE 90 EP prescriptions (15°E50): -for the rotating centre to fill the group with 6.2 kg of oil, however up to the suitable level (the oil must be half of the tube. See Page 5-11). The first oil substitution must be done after the first 100 working hours, and then every 2000 hours, or at least every 12 months, according to the reducer working conditions. When changing the oil, it is necessary to clean the magnetic caps. During the changing it is advisable to clean the inside of the sump by using a suitable liquid advised by the lubricant manufacturer. In order to prevent the sludge from fouling, the oil should be changed while the reducer is hot. If it is necessary to top more than 10% of the volume of the lubricant, we advise to check carefully if there are possible oil leakages in the group. Avoid to mix different types of oil, both of the same and of different makes. Do not mix mineral oil with synthetic oil. As a rise in temperature of 40-50°C is normal, the choice is often made according to the external temperature. In case of appreciable changes in temperature, we recommend the use of synthetic lubricants, with EP additives, minimum viscosity index 165 and viscosity VG 150 or 220 (ISO 3448). Continuous service temperature must not exceed 90°C. When assembling in the factory it is used lubricant AGIP BLASIA 150. Drained oil must be disposed of according to the laws in force.

5.7 FUNZIONAMENTO PROTEZIONI Almeno una volta al giorno controllare il corretto funzionamento delle protezioni personali usando la procedure del proof test: -Controllare che il bloccaggio della doppia chiusura meccanica funzioni per tutti i maniglioni e che rimangano perfettamente bloccati (Punto 1). -Controllare la corretta chiusura dei martelletti dall’apertura posteriore se questi si chiudono completamente (Punto 2). Per fare questo, seguire la procedura di proof test per i maniglioni sul pannellino (Punto 3) e controllare la perfetta chiusura dei maniglioni, prima per la chiusura destra poi per quella sinistra.

5.7 PROTECTION FUNCTIONING Visual check every day the correct functioning of the personal protections using the procedure of proof test for lap bars. -Check the double lock device if it functions properly for all the shoulder harness and if they are perfectly locked from outside (Point 1). -Check the correct closing of the paws, give a look behind from the sight opening if the paws close properly and completely (Point 2). To do that, follow the procedure for lap bars proof test on panel view. (Point 3) and check the correct locking of the all shoulder harness, first for right and then for left locking devices.

5.8 CONTROLLARE IL PERFETTO FUNZIONAMENTO DEI FRENI Controllare ogni giorno il perfetto funzionamento dei freni. Dopo l’accensione della macchina, provare manualmente la tenuta dei freni.

5.9 LIVELLO OLIO NEL SERBATOIO Controllare il livello dell’olio nel serbatoio per mezzo dell’apposita finestrella: il livello dell’olio non deve mai essere inferiore alla mezzeria della scala quando la gondola è alla massima altezza, altrimenti procedere al rabbocco. In fase di montaggio in fabbrica, viene utilizzato olio TAMOIL (Vedi TABELLA a Page 11-4). Si consiglia di non mescolare diversi tipi di olio.

5.9 OIL LEVEL IN THE TANK Check oil level in the tank through the appropriate window: oil level must never be lower than the middle of the scale when the gondola is in the top position, otherwise top it. When assembling in the factory, it is used oil TAMOIL (See TABLE in Page 11-4). Do not mix different types of oil.





5.11 FUNZIONAMENTO DELL’ELETTRO COMPRESSORE Il funzionamento è automatico. Il pressostato ferma il motore alla pressione massima di taratura, e lo fa ripartire alla minima. Per favorire l’avviamento nella stagione invernale, con temperature sotto lo 0°C (32°F) è importante avere l’accortezza di scaricare tutta l’aria compressa nell’interno del serbatoio. Non arrestare in nessun caso il compressore estraendo la spina dalla presa, ma agire prima sul comando di arresto.

5.11 OPERATION OF THE ELECTRO COMPRESSOR Operation is automatic. The pressure switch stops the motor at the maximum set pressure and starts it again at minimum pressure. In order to facilitate the starting during winter, with temperature below 0°C (32°F) it is important to empty the tank. Never stop the compressor by removing the electric plug from the socket; always use the stop control.





5.11.1 Programma di manutenzione Prima di effettuare qualsiasi intervento di manutenzione è obbligatorio fermare la macchina e isolare la macchina dalla rete elettrica. Gli interventi manutentivi sull’elettrocompressore possono essere svolti esclusivamente da manutentori meccanici qualificati e/o da personale tecnico specializzato autorizzato dal costruttore. I tempi di manutenzione sono consigliati per un uso dell’elettrocompressore in ambienti non polverosi e ben aerati.

5.11.1 Maintenance schedule Before carrying out any maintenance jobs it is obligatory to stop the machine and disconnect it from the power mains. The maintenance interventions on the electrocompressor can be performed exclusively by qualified mechanical maintenance technical engineers and/or by specialised technical personnel authorised by the manufacturer. The maintenance schedule is suggested for using the compressor in well ventilated and dustless environment.

Controllare il buono stato delle molle (Punto 3) entrambe in posizione e no ruggine. La misura minima delle cremagliere deve essere almeno 23.5 mm e il lato superiore dei martelletti 11.3 mm. 6.2.1 Wear condition of the racks and the clamping hooks, integrity of the springs. Check the integrity and the good functioning of each safety locking device. Check the wear of the racks (Point 1) and of the paws (Point 2) of each restraint. Check the springs (Point 3) to ensure they are in good condition both with respect to how they seat and to ensure they do not have any corrosion. The minimum measure of the racks must be at least 23.5 mm and the top of the paws must be at least 11.3 mm. Regularly put some grease on the ratchet by means of a brush. 6.4 MANUTENZIONE DELL’ELETTRO COMPRESSORE 6.4.1 Controllo livello olio Ogni settimana controllare visivamente il livello dell’olio dell’compressore. Spegnere la macchina tramite gli interruttori

generali posti sul quadro elettrico. Togliere il pannello usando la chiave in

dotazione. Controllare il livello olio tramite il tappo. Se il livello olio è sotto al MAX., rabboccare

fino al livello massimo con olio dello stesso tipo di quello presente nel compressore.

Chiudere il tappo. Chiudere il pannello. Per un controllo visivo del livello dell’olio, accertarsi che l’elettrocompressore sia appoggiato su di un pavimento perfettamente livellato.

ATTENZIONE Usare olio dello stesso tipo di quello presente nella macchina. Non mescolare oli di diverso tipo.

6.4 ELECTROCOMPRESSOR UNIT MAINTENANCE 6.4.1 Checking the oil level Once a week visually check the oil level in the compressor.

Stop the machine through the main switches

situated on the electric cabinet. Remove the panel with the key provided. Check the oil level at the level indicator. If the oil level is below top up to maximum

level with oil of the same type as that the compressor.

Close the cap. Close the panel. For a visual check of the oil level, ensure that the compressor is standing on a perfectly flat floor.

WARNING Use oil of the same type as that already in the machine. Do not mix different types of oil.





6.4.2 Scarico della condensa E’ necessario scaricare la condensa ogni 50 h oppure ogni settimana: Aprire il rubinetto e lasciare defluire la

condensa. A operazione eseguita chiudere il rubinetto. La condensa va smaltita nel rispetto delle norme locali vigenti.

6.4.2 Draining condensate The condensate must be drained off every 50 hours or every week: Open the cock and drain the condensate out. When the operation is finish, close the cock

again. Condensate must be disposed of in conformity with the local regulations in force.

CAPITOLO 8 CONTROLLI ANNUALI Verificare l’integrità strutturale dell’intera giostra prestando particolare attenzione alle saldature di collegamento tra le parti in carpenteria ed ispezionare scrupolosamente le lamiere. Inoltre è importante: Controllare i giochi eccessivi dei denti delle

ralle e dei pignoni. Controllare i giochi eccessivi e le usure delle

spine di connessione ed accertarsi della corretta posizione di copiglie e rosette di sicurezza.

Ogni anno sostituire l’olio dell’impianto idraulico con un altro delle stesse caratteristiche del precedente (Vedi TABELLA a Page 11-4).

8.1 SOSTITUZIONE DEI BULLONI DELLA GIOSTRA E’ necessario sostituire i bulloni delle principali parti della giostra come le flangiature di collegamento, solo in caso di rottura o danneggiamento. La qualità dei bulloni deve essere ottima, in ogni caso assolutamente senza difetto. Le filettature devono essere pulite e leggermente oliate (mai ingrassate). Il cambio è presupposto solo mantenendo perfettamente inalterate le caratteristiche rispetto al precedente collegamento. Fare molta attenzione al diametro della vite, al passo della filettatura, alla classe di resistenza del materiale ed in particolare alla coppia di serraggio (ogni collegamento flangiato è trattato nelle pagine precedenti). Il collegamento deve essere fatto utilizzando un’apposita chiave dinamometrica che permette qualsiasi coppia di serraggio di cui si necessita (per i momenti di serraggio MA’ vedi TABELLA a Page 7-8, per le ralle vedi TABELLA a Page 7-4). Se la connessione deve essere riportata al corretto momento di serraggio diverse volte, è possibile che il bullone si spezzi. Le superfici d’appoggio delle flangie di collegamento devono essere in ottimo stato, assolutamente senza difetti.

CHAPTER 8 YEARLY CHECKS Check the structural integrity of the ride paying particular attention to the connecting welds between the parts in carpentry and inspect carefully the plates. Besides it’s important: Check for excessive clearance of the slewing

gears and pinions teeth. Check for excessive clearance and wear of the

connecting pins and make sure of the correct position of split pins and safety washers.

Every year substitute the hydraulic system oil with another one having the same characteristics (See TABLE in Page 11-4).

8.1 SUBSTITUTION THE BOLTS OF THE RIDE It is necessary to substitute the bolts of the main parts of the ride such as connecting flangings, only in case of breaking or damages. The bolts must be of top quality, and in any case with no defects. The threads must be clean and slightly oiled (never greased). During the substitution the characteristics of the preceding connection must in no way be altered. Be careful of the screw diameter, the pitch of the thread, the material resistance class and in particular of the driving torque, (each flanged connection is dealt with in the pages above). The connection must be made by means of a suitable torque wrench allowing any driving torque needed (for the permissible tightening torque MA’ see TABLE in Page 7-8, for the ball bearings see TABLE in Page 7-4). If the connection must be inserted to the correct clamping torque a lot of time, it is possible that the bolts break. The connecting flange supporting plates must be in perfect condition, absolutely without defect.





8.2 CONTROLLO COMPLETO DELLO STATO DELLA MACCHINA Per la complessità del tipo di attrazione, si ritiene indispensabile un controllo completo dello stato della macchina, almeno ogni anno, da parte di un Ingegnere abilitato. Le saldature devono essere come specificato nel calcolo e nei disegni. L’analisi delle sollecitazioni è teorica e sono riferite ad una macchina in buon stato di funzionamento e lubrificazione (come da intervalli raccomandati) e nel pieno rispetto delle modalità di utilizzo consentito. Si raccomandano accoppiamenti mobili nel rispetto delle tolleranze, in modo da non innescare vibrazioni ed un elevato grado di finitura per le superfici di perni e spine. 8.2.1 Controllo Chiusure di sicurezza Ogni anno smontare completamente e controllarne tutti i componenti delle chiusure di sicurezza di almeno 3 vetture (4 sedili). A rotazione ogni anno smontare e controllare le chiusure di 3 vetture. 8.2.2 Ispezione Annua L’ispezione annua MT alle saldature elencate nella tabella di pagina seguente, deve essere fatta a partire dal quarto anno di vita della macchina o 120000 cicli macchina.

8.2 COMPLETE CHECK OF THE CONDITION OF THE MACHINE Owing to the complexity of the ride, it is necessary to carry out a complete check of the condition of the machine at least once a year by a certified inspection Body. Weldings must be as specified in the calculation and in the drawings. Stress analysis is theoretical and is referred to a machine in good working and lubricating conditions (as per recommended intervals) and in the respect of the instructions for use. We recommend clearance fits in the respect of allowances, so as not to cause vibrations and a high finish degree for pivot and pin surfaces. 8.2.1 Check Safety Locking Devices Every year disassemble completely and check all the components of the locking devices of at least 6 gondolas (6 seats). Alternating every year disassemble and check the locking devices of 6 Gondolas. 8.2.2 Annual Inspection The annual MT inspection to the welds listed in the following table, must be carried out from the fourth year of life of the machine or 120000 working cicle.

8.3 SOSTITUZIONE CARTUCCE FILTRO Si raccomanda di sostituire le cartucce filtro una volta ogni anno e ad ogni cambio dell’olio della centralina. Sia quella esterna di ritorno sia quelle interne di aspirazione.

8.3 SUBSTITUTION OF THE FILTER CARTRIDGES We recommend to change the filter cartridges once a year and every change of the oil in the thank. Need to be changed the external cartridge on the return line, and the internal cartridges in the feeding lines.





8.4 CAMBIO OLIO NEL RIDUTTORE E’ necessario effettuare il primo cambio di lubrificante dopo le prime 100 ore di funzionamento, e in seguito ogni 2000 ore, o perlomeno ogni 12 mesi, a seconda delle condizioni di lavoro del riduttore. Durante il cambio dell’olio è necessario pulire i tappi magnetici. Al momento del cambio consigliamo anche di provvedere ad un lavaggio interno del carter, con un liquido adatto allo scopo e consigliato dal produttore dei lubrificanti. Per evitare il depositarsi della morchia, l’olio dovrebbe essere cambiato a riduttore caldo. Nel caso si notasse che più del 10% del volume del lubrificante deve essere rabboccato, consigliamo di verificare bene se esistono eventuali perdite d’olio nel gruppo. Si deve evitare di mescolare oli di tipo diverso, sia della stessa marca che di marche differenti tra di loro. Evitare comunque di miscelare oli minerali con sintetici. Considerando normali aumenti di temperatura di 40-50°C, la scelta viene spesso fatta in relazione alla temperatura ambiente. Nel caso di grandi variazioni della temperatura, raccomandiamo l’impiego di lubrificanti sintetici, con additivi EP, indice di viscosità minimo 165 e viscosità VG 150 o 220 (ISO 3448). La temperatura di servizio continuativo non deve oltrepassare i 90°C. In fase di montaggio in fabbrica viene utilizzato lubrificante AGIP BLASIA 150. L’olio esausto deve essere smaltito nel rispetto delle Norme Vigenti.

8.4 CHANGE THE OIL IN THE REDUCTION GEAR The first oil substitution must be done after the first 100 working hours, and then every 2000 hours, or at least every 12 months, according to the reducer working conditions. When changing the oil, it is necessary to clean the magnetic caps. During the changing it is advisable to clean the inside of the sump by using a suitable liquid advised by the lubricant manufacturer. In order to prevent the sludge from fouling, the oil should be changed while the reducer is hot. If it is necessary to top more than 10% of the volume of the lubricant, we advise to check carefully if there are possible oil leakages in the group. Avoid to mix different types of oil, both of the same and of different makes. Do not mix mineral oil with synthetic oil. As a rise in temperature of 40-50°C is normal, the choice is often made according to the external temperature. In case of appreciable changes in temperature, we recommend the use of synthetic lubricants, with EP additives, minimum viscosity index 165 and viscosity VG 150 or 220 (ISO 3448). Continuous service temperature must not exceed 90°C. When assembling in the factory it is used lubricant AGIP BLASIA 150. Drained oil must be disposed of according to the laws in force.

CAPITOLO 9 PROVA GENERALE DI CONTROLLO E NORMALE FUNZ. CON PASSEGGERI 9.1 DESCRIZIONE: È consigliabile operare in MANUALE e non in AUTOMATICO per le prime rotazioni e continuare gradualmente con i vari movimenti fino ad arrivare gradatamente alla temperatura di esercizio dei vari organi; al termine di queste operazioni verificare anche il ciclo automatico senza pubblico. Durante queste operazioni controllare i valori sui vari indicatori. Si raccomanda di far effettuare un giro completo alla giostra senza pubblico per accertarsi anzitempo di eventuali irregolarità di funzionamento e che non ci siano parti che interferiscano o rumori strani causati da eventuali anomalie. Per le prime rotazioni è necessario proibire l’accesso ai passeggeri. A questo punto, prima di aprire la giostra al pubblico è necessario verificare la perfetta funzionalità delle protezioni per passeggeri analizzando questi punti: Corretta chiusura delle protezioni anteriori. Controllare che non vi siano interferenze o

giochi durante la chiusura delle protezioni. Controllare l’efficienza di ciascuna chiusura

meccanica. Eseguire il Lap Bar Test

CHAPTER 9 OVERALL CHECK AND NORMAL WORKING WITH PASSENGERS 9.1 DESCRIPTION: It is advisable to operate in MANUAL and not in AUTO for the first rotations and gradually continue with the various movements until reaching the working temperature of the various organs; at the end of these operations check also the automatic cycle without passengers. During these operations check the values displayed on the indicators. It is recommended to operate the ride for a complete round without passengers in order to detect possible irregularities in functioning and that there are no interfering parts or strange noises caused by possible anomalies. For the first rotations it is necessary passengers must not be admitted. At this point, before opening the ride to the public it is necessary to check the perfect functionality of the passenger protections examining the following points: Correct locking sequence of the shoulder

harness. Check that there is no gap during the closing of

the protections. Check the efficiency of each mechanic locking. Make the Lap Bar Test





9.2 CONTROLLO ACCURATO DEI PASSEGGERI: Prima di ogni rotazione è necessario un controllo accurato dei passeggeri da parte di personale specializzato e dovutamente istruito: non devono poter uscire con gambe o braccia

dalle protezioni laterali; non devono tenere le gambe al di sopra delle

protezioni; non devono volutamente mantenere una

distanza fra la protezione pettorale ed il corpo; verificare la corretta chiusura di ciascuna

protezione personale.

9.2 CAREFULLY CHECKED OF THE PASSENGERS: Before each rotation must be carefully checked by specialized and suitably trained personnel: passengers’ legs and arms must not come out of

the side protections; passengers must not keep their legs above the

foot protections (they must not climb over the bar);

they must not intentionally keep a distance between the upper breast protection and body;

check the correct clamping of each personal protection.

CAPITOLO 10 SITUAZIONI DI EMERGENZA 10.1 TIPOLOGIE DI EMERGENZA: Possiamo avere due tipologie di Emergenza: 1. Emergenza voluta. 2. Black-out elettrico. 3. Allarme per malfunzionamento. 10.1.1 Emergenza voluta: Premendo il pulsante EMERGENZA (2), tutte le parti in movimento (Rotazione e Salita o discesa) si fermano. Per fare scendere la giostra bisogna aprire le valvole manuali di discesa in emergenza poste sui cilindri e poi aprire la valvola manuale di discesa in emergenza posta sulla centrale idraulica (vedi foto nella pagina successiva). Quando la girella raggiunge la posizione in stazione, si può agire sul Panel View per abilitare l’apertura dei maniglioni e fare evacuare i passeggeri.

CHAPTER 10 EMERGENCY SITUATIONS 10.1 TYPOLOGY OF EMERGENCY: In case of emergency there are two situations: 1. Required emergency. 2. Electrical black-out. 3. Malfunctioning Alarm. 10.1.1 Request emergency: Pushing the EMERGENCY button (2), all the rotating parts (Rotation and lift or descent) will stop. To bring down the ride in station position, it is necessary first to open the manual valves for emergency descent placed on the cylinders, than to open the manual valve for emergency descent placed on the hydraulic unit (see pictures on the next page). When the swivel is arrived in the station position, it is possible to work on the Panel View to enable the opening of the lap bars and make to evacuate the passengers.





10.1.2 Emergenza causata da black-out elettrico o viene premuto il pulsante dell’alimentazione generale: La giostra rimane senza alimentazione elettrica, in questo caso tutte le parti in movimento (Rotazione e Salita o Discesa) inizieranno a fermarsi per attrito. In questo caso la giostra si comporta come in caso di Emergenza Classe 0. Quindi per evacuare i passeggeri, agire come al punto precedente.

10.1.2 Emergency for electrical black out or press the shunt trip push button: T he main power cut off, in this case all the parts (Rotation and Lift or Descent) will start to stop by the friction. In this case the ride behave like in case of Emergency Class 0. So to evacuate the passengers use the procedure of the point above.





10.1.3 Allarme per malfunzionamento. Il sistema di controllo prevede molti tipi diversi di allarme legati a malfunzionamenti, anomalie o situazioni non previste. In caso di allarme in Classe 1, il sistema di controllo mette la macchina in Stop e porta la giostra più veolcemente possibile in stazione. Per la procedura di evacuazione, vedere il punto precedente 10.1.1.

10.1.3 Malfunctioning Alarm. The control system foresee many different kind of alarms relative to malfunctionings, faults or anomalies. In case of alarm/fault Class 1, the control system put the ride in Stop and bring it down as fast as possible tot he station position. For the evacuation procedure, see the point 10.1.1.

CAPITOLO 11 COMMENTI PARTICOLARI E PRECAUZIONI NECESSARIE 11.1 CONTROLLI E SOSTITUZIONI 11.1.1 Sostituzione olio nei riduttori Per la sostituzione annua dell’olio nei riduttori operare come segue: posizionare un recipiente sufficientemente capiente e svitare il tappo di scarico olio lasciandolo defluire tutto (posizione tappi vedi Page 5-9). A scarico avvenuto riavvitare il tappo e si può immettere l’olio dal tappo di carico fino al raggiungimento del livello. Attendere circa un’ora per poter verificare il reale livello olio in ciascun riduttore. E’ necessario effettuare il primo cambio di lubrificante dopo le prime 100 ore di funzionamento, ed in seguito ogni 2000 ore, o perlomeno ogni 12 mesi, a seconda delle condizioni di lavoro del riduttore. Durante il cambio dell’olio è necessario pulire i tappi magnetici. Al momento del cambio consigliamo anche di provvedere ad un lavaggio interno del carter con un liquido adatto allo scopo e consigliato dal produttore dei lubrificanti. Per evitare il depositarsi della morchia l’olio dovrebbe essere cambiato a riduttore caldo. L’olio esausto deve essere smaltito nel rispetto delle Norme Vigenti. 11.1.2 Dopo le prime 100 ore di operazione Al fine di ottenere il perfetto funzionamento si raccomanda di attenersi ai seguenti controlli: Controllo generale del serraggio di tutti i bulloni

di fissaggio: è importante non superare mai i valori di serraggio dati nella TABELLA a Page 7-8 (per le ralle vedi TABELLA a Page 7-4);

Stringere tutti i raccordi dei tubi dell’impianto pneumatico in particolare quelli dei tubi flessibili.

CHAPTER 11 PARTICULAR COMMENTS AND NECESSARY CAUTIONS 11.1 CHECKS AND SUBSTITUTIONS 11.1.1 Substitution of oil in the reduction gear As for the yearly substitution of oil in the reduction gears operate as follows: place a container of sufficient capacity and screw off the oil drain plug letting it flow out completely (cap positions see Page 5-9). Once the oil has been drained rescrew the plug and it is possible to put in the oil from the load plug up to the level. Wait for about an hour in order to check the real oil level in each reduction gear. The first change of the lubricant must be made after the first 100 working hours and then every 2000 hours, or at least every 12 months, according to the working condition of the reduction gear. While changing the oil it is necessary to clean the magnetic plugs; we also advise to clean the inside of the sump with a suitable liquid suggested by the lubricant manufacturer. In order to prevent the sludge from fouling, change oil while the reduction gear is still hot. Drained oil must be disposed of according to the laws in force. 11.1.2 After the 100 operating hours In order to get perfect working, it is recommended to carry out the following checks: General check of the clamping of all the dog

bolts: it’s important don’t over tight never the bolts over the values given in the TABLE on Page 7-8 (for the ball bearings see TABLE in Page 7-4);

Tighten all the pipe fittings of the pneumatic system in particular those of the flexible pipes.

11.1.3 Trattamenti estetici dell’attrazione Verificare il grado di protezione della struttura della giostra: controllare ed eventualmente rimuovere al più presto tutte le tracce di ruggine presenti. Lavare accuratamente la zona interessata con diluente, quindi riverniciare adeguatamente con fondo antiruggine, poi con colore ed infine con lucido protettivo. In fase di verniciatura in fabbrica, vengono utilizzati smalti bicomponenti (fondo, colore, lucido); seguire comunque le istruzione riportate sulle latte di colore. Per mantenere pulite e brillanti le superfici di vetroresina è consigliabile seguire le seguenti indicazioni: non utilizzare detersivi con alto potere

aggressivo; pulire le superfici con acqua pulita ed asciugare

con un panno; non bisogna mai pulire e strofinare le superfici

quando sono asciutte; applicare, di tanto in tanto, sulle superfici

perfettamente asciutte prodotti lucidanti (come il Polis o la cera).

In order to keep the surfaces in plastic reinforced by fibreglass clean and bright it is recommended to follow these indications: do not use highly aggressive detergents; clean the surfaces with clean water and dry

them with a cloth; never rub dry surfaces; apply polishing products (ex. Polis or wax) on

perfectly dry surfaces periodically.





11.2 PREPARAZIONE DELLA GIOSTRA PER IL PERIODO DI CHIUSURA INVERNALE 11.2.1 Introduzione La giostra nel periodo invernale è sottoposta a temperature e agenti atmosferici dannosi per alcuni componenti, ad aggravare tutto ciò vi è anche il mancato funzionamento normale della giostra, che rende necessaria una ulteriore lubrificazione protettiva o addirittura lo stoccaggio in magazzino di alcuni componenti. Le pagine seguenti indicano le fasi principali per la messa in sicurezza della giostra, questo non toglie il rischio che alcuni componenti, in condizioni ambientali gravose (temperature rigidissime o alte temperature, aria salmastra, venti fortissimi, ecc.) si possano bloccare o danneggiare. In ogni caso, ogni componente come l’intera struttura è garantito per una determinata gamma di temperature, oltre la quale questa garanzia decade (vedi estratti di catalogo).
