MANIFESTA includes a

powerful local groups feature

that enables campaign

supporters to join groups with

other local members. The

groups feature allows these

supporters to meet,

collaborate, and organize

together over time.

COALITIONS

MANIFESTA’s coalition tools allow

organizations to run many distributed

campaigns that share a common

goal but have multiple local targets.

These tools support the strategy that

applying pressure to many local

targets can be as or more effective

than trying to pressure a single

international or national institution.

Organizations can either pre-select

targets, or provide the common goal

for the campaign and members can

select their own targets. These

smaller local campaigns can add up

to big victories.

EVENTS AND CALENDAR

This feature allows

supporters to organize and

attend offline events. The

events feature includes full

calendaring, map, attendee

confirmation, group

integration.

DONATION FEATURE

MANIFESTA has the ability to

fundraise to sustain its own work as

well as support selected campaigns

and specific actions that will

strengthen impact.

MANIFESTA ORGANIZATION & HUB TEAM

THE ORGANIZATION

The MANIFESTA organization will serve as the organizational HUB for the online platform.

The HUB team will focus on supporting, managing and increasing visibility for campaigns and feminist activists around the world.

The HUB team can also take a strategic role in organizing and campaigning.

HUB TEAM ACTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Provide easy-to-use digital campaigning tools in multiple languages

•  Maintain the global platform at a robust level

•  Approve campaigns and ensure security and privacy for users

•  Share digital training opportunities and other resources to support campaigners to achieve their goals

•  Bring visibility and network-wide engagement to local and global campaigns and fundraise to strengthen them if needed

•  Monitor the impact of the campaigns, analyze trends, identify gaps and needs and give feedback to membership and donors

LOCATION, REGISTRATION AND GOVERNANCE

The networked MANIFESTA organization will work through a digital office with staff and volunteers in diverse countries.

It will be registered as a Canadian non profit and will additionally be registered in a global southern country.

It will be governed by an international board but will be essentially a membership and staff led independent organization.

MANIFESTA TEN YEAR GOALS*

Engage 25 million members from all over the world to support timely actions, sustain long-term social change efforts and react quickly to crisis. Launch 500+ successful global campaigns, plus support thousands of local campaigns for gender justice. Rally 1,25 million individual donors (5% of our membership) Raise more than 25 million dollars to support 2,500 feminist organizations and coalitions Create a sense of belonging to a global community of fearless feminists and gender justice activists and supporters.

AWID is one of the largest membership organizations working to strengthen the voice, impact and influence of women’s rights internationally.

Ana Criquillion is a feminist activist and founder of several feminist funds and NGOs around the world. She is currently serving as Strategic Coordinator for the project.

Catapult is a feminist crowdfunding platform for gender justice.

INWF is a membership Association of 46 Women’s Funds from all over the world working together to empower women and contribute to the redistribution of resources to transform women’s lives and communities.

Mama Cash and Global Fund for Women are two of the leading and most experienced international Women’s Funds supporting women’s, girls’ and trans people’s movements globally.
