18. Counseling / Mentoring:

Counseling of students is made through Guardian-Teacher activity. Every

teacher is looking a group of 20 students. The individual as well as group counseling is

made to these students by guardian teacher as well as by Principal and HOD.

At the time of University examination, counseling and guidance is made to plan

for study hours/days. Special counseling is made to failure students. The regular

parents meet is also organized under this activity.



Career Counseling:

Expert guests from various industries and academics institutes are invited to

give talk on career options in engineering to all students of institute.

For TE and BE students different programs are conducted in the institute.

Training on soft skills, personality development-Innovations Unlimited, Bangalore,

communication skill, language I-Ping, Solapur etc were organized by the institute

during this academic year.

19. Students Activity Body:

College student‟s council is formed every year under the chairmanship

of Principal. The student representatives from academics of every Class,

Sports, Culture, National Service Scheme, NCC and Ladies are included in this

council. The meeting of this council is conducted once in a semester every year

for the discussion of problems, development of the institute.

The secretary of this council is elected among the student members.

Once in a year the secretary take part in a camp organized by University to

develop the leadership quality.

For each department there are separate students councils. TELSA for

EXTC, Computer Council for CSE, MESA for Mechanical Engg , EESA for

Electrical engineering etc. The aim of these councils is to improve technical,

aptitude, communication skills, leadership etc. of the students.

These councils organize different activities like Aptitude test, Industry

visits, Seminars, Technical paper presentation, Debate competitions and

expert‟s lecturer, program for personality development, Mock interviews, Online

objective quiz etc

1. National Service Scheme –NSS

NSS is the major activity of BMIT, supported and sponsored by Solapur University,

Solapur. Under NSS unit we had conducted different types of activities such as

2. Cultural Events: Following activities were organized at Institute level:

Flag Hoisting ceremony on 15 August 2015 and 26 January 2016,

Teachers Day on 5 September 2015.

Engineers Day on 15 September 2015.

Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal bahadur Shastri on 2 October 2015.

Annual cultural events such as Traditional day, Funfair, singing, dancing, mimicry,

acting skills were presented by students during college annual cultural event “TARANG 2014”

giving platform for 200 students

Institute participated in Youth Festival organized by Solapur University Solapur.



3. Sports activities:

The institute has very good record in sports. The college teams took part in various

events organized by Solapur University, Solapur. The college got success in chess, table

tennis and basket ball. Our students are selected in University teams and played on

Interuniversity and All India level matches.

Also Institute organized sports events „Smash‟ in interclass level. More than fifty

percent students took part in events like Cricket, Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball ,

Foot ball, Kabbadi, Kho -kho etc.Our college team of fenching secured first prize Table tennis

team secured second prize and for chess & Teakondo get third prize.Institute provided all

facilities to the student, such as All playground sports material ect.

Magazine / Newsletter:

Institute publishes its annual magazine “Be-Mighty” in last week of May every year.

Last year “Be-Mighty” has bagged 18 individual prizes and overall Third Prize in the

intercollege magazine competition, “Srujanrang 2015” arranged by Solapur University,

Solapur.

Technical activities / Tech Fest:

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department has organized

workshop for final year students or presentation skill two days workshop at various

polytechnique institute are organized on MATLAB & VLSI five students selected in national

level sports. Department encourages students to participate in University level, College level

sports and cultural event. This year outside college participation was also remarkable &

number of students bagged first and second prize in institute level competitions. Department

organized project idea competition, paper presentation, debate, technical quiz students also

celebrate teachers day, engineering day. .



Mechanical Engineering Department organized technical exerts including paper

presentation competition, debate competition, Technical quiz and Energy contraption. MESA

(Mechanical Engineering student Association) a student‟s association also organized CAD

completion and Lathe war competition. Department also encourages students to take

participation in college level sports & cultural events. This year outside college participation

was also remarkable & number of students bagged first & second prizes in different Institute

level competitions. Project Exhibition (outside) achievements & participations also increased.

Electrical Engineering Department arranged Mini project exhibition, aptitude test, Group

Discussion, Technical Seminars, Technical quize, Dabate poster presentation and Movie

making arranged by ESSA on occasion of engineering day & Top 2 rankers got prizes.

Electrical department has arranged PLC workshop for students since it has biggest market

values for getting job

Contest, Greek Artist – Poster Competition etc.
