Open Access What it is & What it’s not
• Term “Open Access” refers to research and knowledge works derived from publicly funded research
• Bank’s Open Access Policy ≠ Bank’s Access to Information Policy
• Open Access ≠ Public Domain

What is Creative Commons
“a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge
through free legal tools”
• Provide six free, easy-to-use copyright licenses giving the public permission to share and use creative work.
• CC licenses are not an alternative to copyright - they work alongside copyright.
• Creative Commons IGO specific set of licenses will be launched by the end of the year.
