Making my Dig- Pak

This week i have been working on designing my Digi-Pak. To make my digi-pak i have been using photoshop as this is an advance programme which allows me to do a lot of different designs.

This template has been divided into six different sections and each one of these will be a face of my album cover. I had to think how this will be folded once completed so i could work out where the front cover would go and the back. The 2nd panel will be my back cover where my list of songs will go and the third panel will be the front of the album.

From the pictures which we took in the studio, i picked an individual shot of each person in our group so that i could use them as part of my cover. As their are four panels remaining after the front cover and the back cover i decided that having each member of the band on one panel would be a good idea. Here i have put Chloe on the first one and using the text tool have wrote her name so that people will know the names of each member.I then carried on to do this for the rest of our members.

Here i have continued editing the pictures of our individual members and putting them on to my actual Digi-Pak.I have also wrote out all of the songs which will feature on our album and have kept to the pink writing theme as this can relate to girly. To do this i used the text tool again.

I thought that having the song list on its own at the back looked a bit plain so decided that adding an image behind the text would look better.I thought that using the image where we are all laughing would look good as it shows the characters of who we are. In a different tab i made the photo black and white and also made the picture size smaller so that it will fit into the tab of the digi-pak. Using the magic wand, i made the background of this image black so that it would fit into the background of the album.I edited the text which i put on top of the image by adding shadows and making the lining of the text thicker.

Here i have completed the front cover of my album, i decided to use the image which i had edited for my magazine advert so that the audience would recognise the image and the album cover from the advert.Above, keeping to the pink text theme i have wrote the name of our band so that it stands out. I have edited the text by using shadows again so that it makes it bolder.

Here is my final Digi-Pak. I have added a Universal image as well as a barcode to make the digi-pak look like a real album.

As a group we will choose which one is the best and who's one we should use.
