Contest Objectives 1. Encourage educators to incorporate farm and food topics in the classroom via ag literacy resources and Ag in the Classroom presentations.* 2. Increase student understanding of how our daily lives depend on agriculture. 3. Foster appreciation of the role of farms and farmers in our community. Eligibility The contest is open to 1st-5th grade classrooms in DeKalb County. Entry Deadline Friday, May 7, 2021 Prizes Gift cards will be awarded to first through third place winners at each grade level. First place winners will receive $25; second place, $15; and third place, $10. The grand prize winning design will appear as the front cover of the June 2021 issue of DeKalb County Farm Bureau CONNECTIONS magazine, received by over 6,000 families in DeKalb County!
