With simplicity, adaptability and affordability in mind, MPI’s patent-pending M-series electric shakers

handle anything from low-volume applications to central scrap removal systems that carry several 1,000 pounds of material per hour. All MPI electric shakers boast a compact footprint, excellent convey speeds and quiet operation. MPI M-series shakers operate without the need for maintenance, spare parts or lubrication, and cost far less to operate than their pneumatic counterparts, which require expensive compressed air. Designed for the rugged factory environment, MPI shakers are available in a variety of sizes. Optional multipan and rack and pinion tracking systems are available.

Maintenance free, versatile and compact, M-series shakers feature an AC brushless motor and plug into a standard 110V outlet. The M-series are the only shakers available that leave the factory floor ready to fit virtually all press bed T-slot configurations, whether metric or standard (models M-10, M-50 and M-200). MPI electric shakers run at a fixed speed (factory preset at the optimal setting) and items that can be tampered with and slow production, such as buttons, dials or switches, have been eliminated.

We are Electric Shakers.MPI offers two styles of pan wear pad kits to prolong the life of the shaker pans. Wear pads mount (installation required) along the bottom of the pan and provide a wearing surface between the pan bottom and the press bolster. Kits are offered in UHMW or NSM nylatron materials and include all required mounting hardware.

With a 200 lb. tray capacity, a 20 FPM part movement speed, a simple on-off reset breaker, and accessibility to tie into press controls for automatic start up and shut down, the M-200 is the only part transfer unit you’ll ever need. Do you require a unit that exceeds the M-200’s 14-foot capability when used with a rack-and-pinion system? The M-200 is universally compatible with other M-200 units, meaning that two or more units can run together to meet objectives. Toledo Tool and Die (TTD), of Toledo OH, recently approached Press Automation-Fluidline, looking for an improved method to remove scrap from their stamping press. Press Automation-Fluidline, the Toledo-based representative of Magnetic Products, Inc. (MPI), recommended that TTD consider MPI’s M-50 electric shaker. The M-50 is maintenance free and runs on simple, plug-and-play 120 vac. Moreover, the M-50 runs at less than .5 amp draw, making it the most economical shaker in the world to operate.

MPI loaned TDD an M-50 for a free trial in its facility. Once in place, TDD staff quickly realized that the M-50 was the perfect solution and determined that several more similar units were needed immediately.

TTD had been using air-powered shakers for a number of years, with normal, limited success. Air shakers are known to require frequent maintenance, to be noisy and to perform

inconsistently. TTD’s current air shaker was known for being extremely inefficient and consuming vast quantities of air. In comparison, the M-50 was a big hit.

Larry Kubiak, TTD production manager, said, “The M-50 electric shaker from MPI has already proven to be more reliable than any other shaker we’ve seen. We don’t intend to buy air shakers ever again, and will continue to replace them with MPI’s electric shakers, until we have one on every press.”
