From the Designer

My Lovely Lace Fingerless Gloves were inspired by my love of vintage laceand desire to have a quick knit gift project!

I’ve always loved the elegance of fancy evening gloves that featuremany pearl buttons running down the wrist and forearm. So chic andladylike, but not wearable for every day. I designed these with an opening at the back, so it could then beadorned with fancy beads or pretty buttons for the faux button closure. The bonus was that the rst half of this project could be worked quicklyand easily on straight needles before needing to switch to DPNs (which Itolerate, but aren’t my favorite, ha ha).

The lace pattern is a lovely double leaf lace that was the perfect number

of stitches to achieve the all-over lace design. Limiting myself to one ballwas also a fun challenge and a great way to attack my stash and makeroom for new yarns.
