  • Nido Kings Cross accommodates 950 students in central London. Located in Zone 1

    and just 5 minutes walk to Kings Cross international transport hub, including 6 major

    Underground lines, National Rail and the high speed Eurostar meaning students can

    pop to Paris for the weekend in just 2 hours. This location connects LSE students to

    all areas of London and it just a 30 minute walk to campus.

    Nido is much more then just a student hall or dorm its an intelligently designed

    home. A single or shared living space, where every aspect of life and study in the

    capital has been made safe and simple.

    Student welfare is important to us and we offer both a safe and supportive

    environment for students which is reflected in both our 24 hour manned security and

    our on site team who are there to support and offer great service to all our residents.

    Nido takes the happiness and well-being of all our residents very seriously. Our

    experienced team on site looks after each students individual needs and creates

    regular social events and are committed to creating a supportive, positive and

    interactiver community in a multi-cultural environment.

  • LOCATION AND TRAVEL TIME

    Nido Kings Cross is located 1.9 miles from central London (13 minutes by

    underground and 39 by walking) and is just a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross

    Station with access to 6 major Underground lines. This includes the Circle,

    Piccadilly, Victoria, Hammersmith and City and Metropolitan lines.

    Its approximately 1.5 miles from the LSE campus within easy reach by Piccadilly line

    (only two stops to Holborn) or bus 59 or 91 which should take around 28 minutes.

    Not only is it easy for students to get to and from the college, the Kings Cross area

    itself is vibrant and a quick journey to neighbourhoods such as Angel, Islington and

    Camden. Kings Cross is a vibrant community at the centre of a major urban

    transformation.

  • LSE has reserved a total of 40 single studios and 20 beds in twin rooms from the 4th

    July to the 15th August 2015. These rooms can only be booked by students

    attending both sessions of the Summer School.

    SINGLE STUDIOS

    Each single studio comes with ensuite bathroom and kitchenette, one single bed,

    wardrobe, large desk and plenty of storage.

    The kitchenette includes 2 hobs, a fridge with a small freezer on the top, microwave,

    kettle and sink.

    The average size is between 16sqm and 17sqm.

    The weekly rate for this type of room is 397 and its inclusive of:

    - Weekly linens change

    - Weekly towels change

    - Weekly cleaning

    - Kitchenware

    TWIN ROOMS

  • All Twin rooms are equipped with ensuite bathroom and kitchenette to share

    between you and your roommate.

    It offers two single beds with underneath storage and a safe box, one wardrobe and

    one desk per person.

    The kitchenette includes 2 hobs, a fridge with a small freezer on the top, microwave,

    kettle and sink.

    The average size is about 18sqm.

    The weekly rate for this type of room is 247.67 and its inclusive of:

    - Weekly linens change

    - Weekly towels change

    - Weekly cleaning

    - Kitchenware

    Please note that Twin rooms can only be booked by two students that know

    each other in advance of the programme.

  • Nido Kings Cross offers spacious and comfortable social space inlcuding a

    mutlipurpose lobby area, caf on the 2nd floor, fitness studio and gym opened 24/7

    and free of charge, courtyard, cinema room and study/TV rooms.

  • Our IT provider is Ask4, one of the leaders in providing internet services to student

    accommodation in the UK. Not only are the below options avaialbe, but Ask4

    provides 24/7 support for Nido students via telephone, text or email. Please see

    below for IT provisions:

    Wi-Fi we have the fastest all inclusive Wi-Fi in London student

    accommodation with up to 100 Mb/s (can use up to 6 devices at the same

    time). This is not only in communal areas but all student rooms. We also have

    options to upgrade at an additional cost to 200 Mb/s.

    IPTV this is another option avaialble through Ask4 at no additional cost

    allowing students to view freeview channel via their Wi-Fi connections (TV

    license required).

    4 Record also included, allows students to record their favourite TV

    programs

    4 Backup this service enables students to ensure all important documents

    and personal files are backed up in a remote secure location. This is available

    to students for a one off fee of 15.

    Communal Sky TV in ground communal area

    TV hire is available for 12.50 per month (student responsible for TV license)

    Laundry

    Nido Spitalfields has an onsite laundry available to students 24/7. Prices below:

    3 for use of washing machine

    2 for use of dryer

    If students are too busy to do their own laundry we have a 3rd party provider that is

    on site during certain hours of the day for students to drop off bags of washing or dry

    cleaning at a discounted rate.

    Security

    The safety and secuirty of our students is of paramount importance and we have the

    following:

    24 hour manned securty

    CCTV

    Swipe card entry

    All security guards are trained in first aid

  • Cleaning

    We have a full time housekeeping team that keep all our communal areas clean and

    tidy

    Maintenance

    Nido has a full time maintance team on site. If students have any issues in their room

    they just need to report it to our reception team or on our online portal and someone

    will come up to fix this. They are also available to come on site outside of hours if

    there are any emergency maintenance issues.

    Guest Services Team

    We have a professional and friendly guest services team available 7 days a week

    between the hours of 8am and 8pm. They are there not only to check students in

    and out but assist with any questions they have relating to their stay or help them

    with advice and things to see and do in London. We also offer 24 hour check in if

    students will be arriving from a late night flight.

    Gym/Personal Training

    The Nido Kings Cross Gym holds the latest equipment and is open 24/7. We also

    offer a personal trainer availble 7 days a week catering to what ever aspects is

    needed for your fitness reguime.

    Fitness studio

    The Fitness studio holds a number of interactive classes such as Zumba, Capoeira,

    Yoga and Flamenco where all students can take part.

  • Intern Program

    The Intern Program gives our residents the Nido experience. Our interns are mostly

    from the same age group as our residents, so this can give them a better

    understanding of what our residents demand. We hold social nights for our students

    every Wednesday in the caf to give our residents the opportunity to know their

    fellow residents and socialize. Every week we try to introduce a new event for the

    residents such as game nights which include, Video Game competition, pool, table

    tennis and many more. At our interns desk we have a suggestion box where the

    residents can give their suggestions and our aim is to act upon those suggestions to

    give a full filling experience.

  • Nido offers a varied social programme, which delivers events, activities and

    experiences fulfilling the fun, educational, cultural and wellbeing needs of residents.

    The social programme is delivered by our Head of Experential Marketing, Zanna

    Wharfe and her in-house team. Third party partnerships have also been established

    to ensure that events are not exclusively held with in our building, as we know

    residents want to see the best that London has to offer.

    Recent and up coming events include; Welcome party to Nido, All Hallows Eve

    party, Thanksgiving Dinner, Ambition Series with influencial heads of companies

    speaking to the students, Battle of the DJs and Bicester Village Shopping trip to

    name a few.

    Other small scale, regular events within the buildings include; weekly film night in our

    cinema room, Yoga and fitness classes in our Gym and Dance Studio and major

    televised Sporting events shown on our big screen.

    A 300 deposit is required in order to confirm the booking and the full rent is due by

    1st May 2015

    Should you change your mind, you have 14 working days from the date of

    confirmation to ask for a refund of the 300. After this time no refund will be due.
