Additional activities, especially those requiring supports from other groups can disorganize the global schedule, and induce delays. CSCM tests in all sectors will cost around 4 weeks

EN Organization
Feb. 8th 2012 K. Foraz - LHC Performance Workshop 2012 25
• Schedule & logistics – Lots’of work still to be done in matter of schedule &
logistics for all the other activities w.r.t. skeleton schedule
• Preparation – ECR have to be written prior to works
– Modification of the envelope of your equipment ICL
– DIMR
– Materials have to be ready in due time…..This has often induced delays !!!
• Follow-up – Weekly coordination and scheduling meeting
Reiner : “QPS upgrade and machine protection during LS1 ” Miguel : “Vacuum upgrade” Laurent: “Cryogenics system: strategy to achieve nominal performance and reliable operation “
EN Conclusions
Feb. 8th 2012 K. Foraz - LHC Performance Workshop 2012 26
• Analysis of requests well advanced (LHC & experiments, injectors)
– w.r.t. priorities & resources & time & interaction between groups
– New requests will be scrutinized, especially the support form overloaded groups (VSC, EL, CV)
• “Skeleton” schedules for LHC machine & injectors ready
• Workload is huge and the schedule is tight
• Worksites have to be well prepared. Please do not forget layout, integration & safety
