Show Cobra is an independent, integrated creative agency and production company based in Brooklyn. We build pop-up TV studios, develop best-of-class live streaming channels, and create original short-form content, documentaries, and commercials.
Founded in 2006 by Jason Ross, Show Cobra has partnered with iconic artists, global brands, cable and network channels and award winning advertising agencies to create a wide range of entertainment properties and cross-platform series.
At SXSW, Show Cobra conceives, develops, and produces some of the most iconic activations every year, combining our suite of services to best suit the needs of our clients and partners.

At SXSW 2012, Show Cobra produced all video content from the Vevo and Nike House in Austin. In addition to shooting, live streaming, and editing daily concerts and intimate interviews, Show Cobra built the stage, and tech’d the entire space. We also build a stand-alone interview studio, that also doubled as a space for acoustic performances.

SCALE: Build-out of two custom studios for IFC, a major SXSW partner, including live-streaming of performances, roundtables, and interviews, plus built on-site edit suite for delivery of post-festival on-demand videos
For two years running, Show Cobra collaborate with IFC to produce their inaugural IFC House at SXSW. Show Cobra custom-built the space including two stages, a live edit system, and multiple interview rooms. We also managed a schedule that involved over 80 events and 29 live musical performances, resulting in content streamed live during the entire fest and over 400 pieces of edited content for online, and an unmatched quantity of daily content.

SCALE: Day/night lineup over four days, including build-out of a branded outdoor stage.
Over four days and nights, Show Cobra managed two stages for Pandora, an official SXSW partner, including an indoor stage at Antone’s and a custom-built outdoor stage, each with its own custom-designed sound system. The event drew thousands over SXSW.

During SXSW’s Interactive portion, there was no hotter ticket than the National Geographic party, which celebrated the ‘80s as a walk-up to the launch of NatGeo’s series, The ‘80s: The Decade That Made Us.
Over 26,000 fans registered to snag one of only 600 spots to enter and be dazzled by a genre-bending set by mash-up maestro Girl Talk.

Jason Ross has shaped an eclectic career in the
entertainment industry over the past 18 years.
Beginning as a recording artist and record
producer, Jason later transitioned to video, film,
and digital media production. He founded Show Cobra in 2006 as a collaborative creative
production company focused on a range of
turnkey production services, including live
events, live streaming, original television & web
series, and documentary films.
Jason is also the the Head of Media and
Strategic Partnerships at The Bowery Presents,
the leading independent concert promoter in
the Northeast. Jason oversees strategic media partnerships and event sponsorship across all TBP
rooms and festivals, and stewards all original
content production and programming.
Prior to founding Show Cobra, Jason worked at MTV Networks, serving first as music supervisor,
and later rising through the ranks of television
production as a producer on the Emmy Award
winning series “Made.”
Jason splits his time between Brooklyn, NY and
Chapel Hill, NC where he resides with his wife,
son and daughter.
Kate Susman has served as Supervising Producer
on every Show Cobra production since joining
the team in 2010. She helped develop and
launch the Bowery Presents Live on YouTube,
produced multiple series for Vevo, produced award-winning commercial work for Jordan
Brand and Wieden + Kennedy, and has worked
on a wide variety of music series, live events,
and branded content for Porsche, Heineken,
American Express, Converse and a diverse array of artists and agencies.
Before joining Show Cobra in 2010, Kate was the
Director of Development at Embassy Row, a
Sony Pictures Television subsidiary. During her tenure there, she was the show runner for The 9,
a groundbreaking daily entertainment news
series on Yahoo, and the supervising producer of
POPTUB, a daily YouTube series sponsored by
Pepsi.
As a shooter and producer, Kate’s work has
appeared on IFC, VH1, Fuse, BET and MTV and
she’s worked closely with a diverse array of
brands and agencies.
Kate resides in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with her
husband.

David Ladik arrives at Show Cobra charged with
building and expanding our West Coast
presence, and crafting a strategy to continue to
build Show Cobra's music and non-music
business across various media, while continuing to dominate in the digital world.
As a producer and creative executive, David
has spent his career creating, and sometimes
inventing, groundbreaking content and formats for a young audience. Serving several tours at
MTV Networks, he produced thousands of hours
of programming for MTV US, launched MTV Asia
and helped rebuild VH1. At AMC, he oversaw
the original programming component of an unprecedented relaunch and rebrand. He got
in the game early on the digital side, developing
rich content for LAUNCH.com, which later
became the platform for Yahoo! music.
More recently Dave served as VP Strategy at
Pitchfork Media, overseeing and implementing
strategies to exploit content offline, syndicate
content, and to develop an international
strategy that includes multi-day music festivals.
Dave will be based in Venice, California, where
he lives and surfs with his son.
