Their small batch philosophy ensures that every aspect of Shortcross Gin meets their exacting vision, from foraging for botanicals in the surrounding country estate to labelling and signing every bottle - everything is crafted and perfected by hand.

Created by husband and wife team David and Fiona Boyd-Armstrong, the Rademon Estate Distillery was established in 2012. David formerly an engineer from East Belfast, and Fiona, formerly a quantity surveyor, decided to rekindle the distilling tradition that spans back centuries in Ireland.

The very first batch of Shortcross Gin was released in April 2014 and Shortcross has gone on to win a series of prestigious international awards. The name Shortcross came from the Gaelic for Crossgar, ‘An Chrois Ghearr’, meaning ‘the short cross’. The penny symbol on the bottle is in fact a Shortcross penny, the first coin to be minted in Dublin.
