“Every film has a particularly difficult location. For Battle: Los Angeles we

needed a freeway shut down for a month. When no other city could deliver, Shreveport-Bossier did.”

Tommy Harper Unit Production Manager

2017-2018

“Of all the places I have shot films over the years, Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana was one of my favorite and one of the best experiences. I had a great crew, and we found every location we needed to make our film. There are also great restaurants and nightlife... I had a lot of fun working there AND we made a great movie in the process!”

“I’ve produced six films in Shreveport and can’t think of a better city to shoot in. The city bends over backwards to help filmmakers realize their dream. The infrastructure and growing crew base is top notch. It’s a very easy city to navigate and has a diverse look in terms of locations. With the Louisiana tax credit it’s affordable to shoot in the US again! I personally count Shreveport as my second home and look forward to shooting my next project there.”

Michael “Mick” Flannigan, Producer “Major Movie Star”, “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” and four others

“We had a productive and excellent experience in Shreveport-Bossier in 2008. People were extremely supportive, facilities were excellent, traffic was light, the extras were highly accommodating, and the casting provided a wide range of talent all the way from Dallas to New Orleans.”

The Louisiana Wave Studio

The Louisiana Wave Studio is the only feature film facility in the world that can automatically generate a variety of waves at the touch of a button. The tank is 100 feet long, 80 feet wide and eight feet deep. The 8,000 square foot tank holds 750,000 gallons of water. Originally built for Walt Disney’s film, “The Guardian,” the tank is capable of generating a variety of waves up to eight feet high as well as horizontal storm conditions. Storage water drums mounted fifty feet high allows water to be dumped on actors and/or set pieces

on either side. Ancillary fans can be added to create wind effects. Any wave or water action a director can imagine can be created by using the three 150 horsepower turbine-fans and the computerized hidden air chambers. The open air above the tank allows maximum flexibility for production. The Louisiana Wave Studio was used for “I Love You Phillip Morris”, “Streets of Blood”, “Shark Night-3D”, and several other movie and industrial testing projects.
