Los Mandatos
•To give a command or to make a suggestion to someone you address as “tú”…we use the informal command form.
Affirmative tú commands are the same as the él/ella form of
the present tense.

Pronombres
• Direct object pronouns:
– it and them: lo, la, los, las
• Indirect object pronouns:

• Reflexive pronouns:
– for the Tú command the pronoun is: te
Placement of pronouns
• Attach reflexive, direct and indirect object
pronouns to the end of affirmative
commands. Add an accent mark to show
that the stress remains in the same place.

Mandatos negativos informales -
casos especiales:
1. Verbs ending in –car, -gar, and –zar have the
following spelling change in the NEGATIVE tú
command in order to keep the original sound:
– No sacar qu ¡ No saques!
– No llegar gu ¡No llegues!
– No comenzar c ¡No comiences!
2. The same rule applies for the verbs whose
present YO form ends in: “go”, “zco”, “yo”,
and “jo”
– No salir ¡No salgas!
– No incluir ¡No incluyas!
– No obedecer ¡No obedezcas!
– No exigir ¡No exijas!
Placement of pronouns
The pronouns go after the “no” and BEFORE the conjugated verb.
