The Boundary Group of Companies, established on Jan 3, 2003, began with a vision and goal to become a contender in the ever changing industrial world as a leading Industrial Installation Contractor.
As the Boundary Group’s experience and reputation for reliability grew, the need to expand and engage professionals for all aspects and phases for any Project became evident.
When first approached by a customer, steps are taken to ensure the New or Repeat Client will receive the best services that can be offered for his particular Project, what ever it may be.
Our experience has also enabled us to offer our Clients the option to contract out on a cost plus fixed fee, fixed price or cost plus basis.
With construction underway, one important practice has been maintained – every Major Project comes under the personal supervision of a Senior Supervisor dedicated solely to your Project

The Boundary Group of Companies is comprised of :
Logistical Mill Installations Ltd. (LMI) (our non-union division),
Boundary Mill Installations Ltd. (BMI) (our union operation)
The owner has many years of varied experience specializing in Sawmills, Pulp Mills, Plywood Plants, Mines and Recycling Facilities. We are able to service all aspects of various industries because of our experience, knowledge, personnel and unique company structure.
Logistical Mill Installations Ltd. owns all equipment which includes:
• Cranes and Forklifts
• Mobile welding trucks
• Service trucks and trailers for freighting of equipment
• Wire feed welders, inverter / rectifier welders, Mag drills, line cutters, plasma cutters
• A full complement of the tools and equipment required for virtually any project
On staff we have several qualified Supervisors that can oversee and manage all phases of a Construction Project. We also have a large pool of qualified Electricians, Plumbers, Welders, Millwrights, Pipe Fitters, Carpenters and Labourers. As well, we have formed strategic alliances with a variety of Companies to ensure our ability to complete Turnkey
Projects.

Thompson Creek Metals – Mt. Milligan Copper/Gold Mine:
LMI was awarded the Site Maintenance and Service Contract at the Milligan project for
Thompson Creek and after awarded L.M.I tasks greatly surpassed initial Contract.
L.M.I. on thas Site was responsible for many different tasks with little to no Supervision or
Micromanaging by the client, indicating the clients trust in L.M.I’s abilities while keeping
the budget in mind.
The entire Site had come to realize the need for L.M.I.’s Service and ability to juggle all
tasks which has been assigned. 175 Site Instructions had been issued such as :

Expansion of the Camp Gym
Temporary Maintenance Shop for Operations
Foundations and Enclosed Stair Case for Clients
Management team from Head Office to Process Plant
Lining of Sag Mill Ball Bin (Treated Lumber, Plywood and
1” Belting floor with ½” plate walls)
Ball Bunker for Ball Mills(Lock Block foundation, sloped
concrete floor with Cover All Buildings)
Lining and closing in of Ball Mill Ball Bin typical to Sag Mill
with structural and cladded walls

Thompson Creek Metals – Mt. Milligan Copper/Gold Mine:
Because of our quality of tradesmen and consciousness to Safety L.M.I. was assigned to
take over the Lock Out Tag Out for the entire Site to assist the Commissioning Team
working directly with all the Contractors involved, supplying all required Journeymen,
Electricians and Millwrights.
The Original Tender awarded was for $697,594.32 to start August 2011 and to be
completed by May 31, 2013. Our portion concluded April 30, 2014 at $19,950,000.00,
with greatly increased crew and expansion of the contract. Our monthly invoicing
surpassed Original Tender Awarded.

Redfern Resources Ltd. – Tulsequah Chief Project:
LMI was tasked to provide all labour and required materials to
construct, operate and maintain camp facilities at Barge and
Shazah Sites including as follows:
• Installation and set up of camps
• Installation of roofs for camps – flat, trussed and coverall
• Install sewage treatment plant and tile field. Tie in sewage treatment plant to
existing system (supplier/vendor to assist with installation supervision)
• Installation of power and water
• Set up First Aid facilities
Camp Maintenance including as follows:
• Operate and service power, water and sewer systems
• General repairs to other camp equipment including plumbing (water, sewer &
propane), carpentry and electrical
• Snow removal around the camp facilities including roofing
• Receiving all incoming at Shazah airstrip and distribution to required sites

Merit Mining Corp.
Lexington Site – Shop for underground mine
Greenwood Gold Site – Processing Plant
Revelstoke J & L Site – Shop & Camp for underground mine
LMI was contracted to act as the General Contractor for Supply and Install on the Greenwood Gold
Project. LMI along with SCCL and Arbortec Design were able to construct this “As Built” processing
plant starting in late August 2007 with completion in mid March 2008, 6 weeks ahead of schedule.
All three sites were fixed price contracts and then cost plus for additional work required.
Major mill components were supplied by the client.
The total value of the projects to LMI was in excess of $3.25 M.

Design and construct mobile shop, generator building, dry room & lunch room for
underground mine site. This was a fixed price contract completed on schedule and
on budget. Total value of projects at this site was $186,000
Revelstoke J & L Site – Shop & Camp for underground mine
Design and construct mobile shop, generator building, dry room/lunch room, camps,
kitchen and offices for Underground Mine. This was a fixed price contract completed
on schedule and on budget. Total value of projects at this site was $815,500

Phase 1 upgrades – Fines Circuit Building and Equipment Foundations - $468,000 project at the
Trend Mine Site South-East of Tumbler Ridge consisting of Excavation & Backfilling with:
• Compaction testing
• Form work
• Installation of all rebar for footings, pedestals, pilasters, slabs & walls
• Placing & finishing of concrete
• This was a hard number project with completion on schedule and on budget

Pope & Talbot (Grand Forks Division):
Merchandiser Upgrade consisting of the removal of all existing equipment, to be replaced with
new equipment as follows:
• Tree Deck, Linden 60’ double acting quad feeder, Ending roll case with lift gates,
Bucked log sort gate, Log conveyors
• Rework existing log infeed to mill conveyor
• Rework existing residual conveyor and install new conveyor
This project was completed in 2 phases with startup on schedule and on budget.

Federated Co-op ( Canoe B.C. ) / Seel Forest Products ( Edgewater B.C. )
Dismantle existing J bar sorter, stacker & grade station along with all structural support steel,
hydraulic system, un-scrambler, live fence, ending rolls, trim saws and waste conveyors.
All electrical for the above including the Re & Re of MCC’s and PLC’s
This equipment was dismantled, loaded on trucks and transported for reassembly on owner supplied
slab & foundations. Tie in to existing mill including on site fabrication of all new components was
completed on a long weekend with no down time to operations.
This was a hard number project with no extras involved.

Slocan Group (Vavenby Division):
Hog to Hog fuel conversion system – was complete turnkey project consisting of
• Surveying, design, electrical, fabrication and installation
• Large drive–on slabs and concrete bunkers
• Reworking of main Mill hog conveyor (raise & reversing)
• Supply & install of all outside hog conveyors
• Truck / Loader ramp and lock block walls
This project was planned and completed with no down time to the Mill, on schedule and on budget.

Edmonton Composting Facility (subcontractor to Earth Tech Canada Inc.):
Repair of mixing drums and baffle removal
• This $1.5 million project was completed by working around the clock for more than 10
weeks.
• The $813,000 installation labour contract portion of the project was completed working
two 12 hour shifts for the duration of project with 22 welders and 2 supervisors.
• Because of the intensive planning, more than 36,000 man hours of work was completed
without a single incident. The Safe Work Plan, and more than 140 Tailboard meetings
enabled us to quickly resolve any issues or concerns before they became a problem.
Remove and replace the In feed - Ram Feeder ends on 5 Rotary Digester drums
(16’ diameter x 240’ length). Approximate installation contract value of $600,000.

Log Deck Cut off Saw and Measures Conveyor
project -This project was planned and executed with
no down time to the client and included:
• Modifications to existing structural steel along with
installation of all new structural and support steel
for equipment, overhead crane and crane rails.
• Modifications to existing equipment and building
including removal of roof & walls, cutoff saw,
infeed & outfeed conveyors and all related
components were required for installation of the
new cutoff saw, butt reducer, new measures
conveyor, MCC building, hydraulic system,
catwalks and handrail.
Completed on budget and on schedule with extra work
completed on a cost plus basis

• Fabrication and supply of Log Decks project ( Included removal of existing decks )
Project was completed with no down time to production
• Merchandiser upgrade: Project completed working two 12 hour shifts per day from
start to finish of project
• Sawmill Trimsaw Un-scrambler retrofit Project
• Planermill LP Fan Support Structure retrofit including all excavations, forming, concrete and new
steel. This Project was completed without the shutdown of any equipment.
• Merchandiser Hydraulic room Re & Re: This Supply and Install Project was under the
Merchandiser deck during operations and included overhead protection, demo of existing and
installation of a new block building with a concrete roof. Modifications to the hydraulic and fire
suppression systems were completed on weekends so no downtime to production was incurred.
Also included installation of overhead cranes.
• Chip Conveyor fabrication and installation: Including design and engineering, removal of
existing and modifications to building wall
