Get to HKU From Hong Kong International Airport to HKU HK International Airport is situated in Chek Lap Kok on Lantau Island Option 1 - By Train & By Taxi Take the Airport Express Train from the HK International Airport to the Hong Kong Station, Central (the train fare is about HK$115 and the train ride takes approximately 25 minutes). Then take a taxi from Central to HKU (taxi fare: HK$60-$90 + luggage fee; approximately 20-minute ride to HKU). Although there are green mini-buses from Central to the campus, this is not recommended as they do not allow luggage. Option 2 - By Bus & By Taxi Take bus No. A11 from the HK International Airport to Central. (Bus fare is about HK$40, 1-hour bus ride). Then take a taxi in Central to HKU (taxi fare: HK$60-$90 + luggage fee; approximately 20-minute ride to HKU) Option 3 - By Taxi If your budget permits, simply take a taxi from the HK International Airport directly to HKU, the cost is about HK$380 and the travelling time is approximately 45 minutes. Most taxi drivers understand enough English to get you where you want to go. But it may be helpful to show the instructions on “Going to HKU” (refer to the “Card for Taxi Drivers”. Option 4 - By Bus Take bus No. A10 from the HK International Airport to Shek Tong Tsui Tram Terminus (Des Voeux Road West). Then following the direction of Bus forward motion to HKU Station (Exit B2), go to HKU Station (Exit A2) and take the lift to the Upper Level of University Street. The fare is HK$48.

Option 5 - By Train & By MTR Take the Airport Express Train from the HK International Airport to the Hong Kong Station, Central (the train fare is about HK$115 and the train ride takes 25 minutes) Then take MTR from Central to HKU Station (Exit A2) and take the lift to the Upper Level of University Street.

From the Train Station (Hung Hom) to HKU Option 1 - By Taxi Take a taxi for the whole trip from the Train Station (Hung Hom Station) to HKU. About 30 min./HK$100. Option 2 - By Bus Or take a bus (towards the Cross Harbour Tunnel) no. 103 outside the Hung Hom Station, get off at HKU. About 1 hr./HK$9.8. Note: For the public transportation, it is recommended to purchase an Octopus card, which is a stored value card that you can use for all forms of public transport (except taxi). When you leave Hong Kong, you may return the card and receive a refund for the unused balance.
