She died 26 May 1904 and was laid to rest at Snow Spring s Cemetery in Dooly County, Georgia. Her parents j oined her many year s later. The anchor underneath the dove represents hope. It is written in Hebrews 6:19 --Which hopewe have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast ... And the virtue of Hope whenartistically sculpted in human form is almost always seen with an anchor.
