Key Differentiators - The Product

7

No corners cutIn life, you get out what you put in, and this is no different in eggs. Farmers will try to cut costs with poor quality feed to eek out margin. We provide only the best feed for our birds and the product reflects this.

Recognisable brand – Our product looks great.Attention to detail and market research demonstrates a predictable correlation between the presentation of the product and growth in sales.

Freshness – From chicken to store within 3 daysFew producers can boast a delivery speed faster than May’s. Our eggs are often only one day old when delivered to customers. This degree of freshness is often commented upon by our customers. Our proximity to market (50 mile radius) is also appreciated and customers feel an affinity with ‘their’ local egg .

Lion Coded facilityOur ‘Lion Coded’ grading facility offers us a unique position as the only accredited operation in Herefordshire. We lead the way in terms of production standards and quality and set a benchmark for any competitors. Expansion of our facilities is essential to enable us both to obtain economies of scale and to maintain our position as the county’s leading producer and packer.

Competitive price for a quality productOur eggs rival all the others on the market. Pricing on the shelf is up to the retailer. However, with our competitive price and attractive packaging, we appeal to both discount and luxury shoppers.

Diverse skill setThe diverse ability and experience of each member of our team makes for a powerful, results-driven team.

WelfareBird welfare is paramount and by gaining British Egg Industry Council ‘Lion Code’ and RSPCA Freedom Food accreditations, we are able to guarantee all aspects of production.Health, Safety and TraceabilityFood production standards are essential to give peace of mind to the customer.
