This section gives points on how to efficiently navigate on LinkedIn to maximize your efforts in gaining new connections as well as searching/messaging.

Connections - Daily consistent requests for new connections will help greatly grow your network. The area called “people you may know” ( top right side page – “ grow my network” box) is a good daily task to ask associates pertinent to your industry & interests to invite to connect.

Connections - The other are that is highly efficient to ask for connections is the “advanced - people search” This is on the top right of main profile page & once you click on it you will checkoff 2nd & 3rd connections box then place pertinent information regarding location / job title / key words. Once you click on search button then you can search by page & invite all appropriate associates to connect.

Connections – The “my network “ box top of main page & clicking on “connections” & sorting by “recently added” & “ connections only” will give you most recent connections that accepted your invitation. You can then message them to follow-up on the topic you desire to discuss.

Navigation – It is highly recommended never sending out mass e mails to your connections but individual messages are more appropriate. If it is a general job posting/article/opportunity it can be posted on “share an update” or “write an article “area on home page.

Navigation – You can join request to join many groups in your industry by placing appropriate search words. This will extend your message capabilities as you can then directly message anyone in the groups even though they are not a direct Level 1 connection.

Navigation – It is also a good daily practice to go to “my network” area & acknowledge events of people that are in your Level 1 connections. They are birthdays, work anniversaries & new jobs of your main connections. People will appreciate your acknowledgement of a special event in their lives.

The key driver of the above methodology is daily consistency that will provide the desired results.
