5Outstanding Office Lighting

A lightweight design with maximum efficiencyThe Novaluna® S and P suspended luminaires lend rooms their own aesthetic style and are suitable for all types of offices, conference rooms and meeting rooms. The Novaluna® S with a spherical design and the linear Novaluna® P are aesthetically appealing design variants for setting various interior design accents.

The luminaire height at the centre is a mere 33 mm and only 11 mm at the edges, and both luminaires are available with lengths of 1200 mm (LED and T16) and 1500 mm (T16). Wire suspension can be adjusted from 500 to 1200 mm, and a design canopy completes the overall appearance.

Novaluna® S The luminaire is equipped with Y-wire suspension to compliment the convex underside.

Novaluna® P The double wire suspension emphasises the straight lines of the flat underside.

High economy with LED and T16 technology

Independent of the technology selected, Novaluna® luminaires feature low consumption costs and highly economic operation.

• The LED variants set new standards for qualitative office luminaires with more than 80 lumens per watt. Electronics and LEDs are designed for a service life of 50,000 operating hours.

• The variants with T16 lamps and electronic ballasts achieve very high luminaire light output ratios of up to 97%. Thanks to multiwatt technology the luminaires can be simply equipped with varying lumen packages.

• All Novaluna® luminaires benefit from low levels of installation and maintenance.

Novaluna® S The perfect form is a stylishly confident addition to a wide variety of interiors.

A floating elegance with microprismatics The brilliant appearance of ELDACON® microprisms lend the luminaires a floating sense of lightness. The optics are of transparent plastic and the lateral microprismatic elements are designed as a sealed system for a high level of protection from soiling.

Perfection down to the very last detail"A real piece of perfection with an outstanding bal-ance between technology, engineering skills and aesthetics" was the jury's view of the Novaluna® S for the Lighting Design Award. This perfection can be seen in all details, including luminaire housing, lighting technology and electrics.

The Novaluna® luminaires are supplied ready for connection, including wire suspension, ceiling canopy and transparent connection cable. LEDs are permanently integrated, and the desired lamp must only be fitted with T16 variants. Laborious searching for accessories in catalogues now belongs to the past.

Convenient control with sensor technologyAll Novaluna® luminaires can be supplied with integral daylight and presence sensor, positioned centrally in the aluminium profile on the luminaire underside. The sensor enables room-related control concepts to be simply implemented that also save on power.

Convenience: relamping without toolsNovaluna® S and P have been designed for low-maintenance, continuous operation. Relamping needs no tools with T16 variants, and no relamping at all with the LED vari-ants due to the longevity of the LEDs.

High quality aluminium design profile A slender element of qualitative, brushed and anodised aluminium centrally encloses the translucent chassis, and the laterally positioned light sources are concealed from view.

Outstanding office lighting with LED technologyNovaluna® S and P luminaires are living proof of the successful combination of unusual design and maximum light comfort. The innovative OSRAM PrevaLED® modules emit pleasant light with either 3000 or 4000 K.

Lighting technology optimised for LEDs ensures a significantly higher direct component of 45% with wide light distribution, for the uniform, standard-compliant and efficient lighting of office workstations.

Intelligent lighting technologyELDACON® prismatic technology emits direct light without glare onto the working plane.

Photometric profileThe prismatic profile specifically developed for use with LEDs ensures highly homogeneous light and also protects from dust and touch.

LED control unitNovaluna® LED control units can be controlled as standard via DALI.

OSRAM PrevaLED® This high-performance, efficient light engine is the core of the luminaire, and individual LEDs are spaced at only 3.7 mm for maximum homogeneity of light distribution.

Vertical LED boardsThe photometrically optimised position of the LEDs guarantees light distribution with a high direct component, and connection to the aluminium profile ensures homogeneous heat dissipation.

ELDACON® for greater flexibility and comfortHarmonious illumination, balanced contrasts and a pleasant atmosphere are the fundamental components of high quality lighting, and are also imperative for long periods of concentrated work. The combination of direct and indirect light distribution with Novaluna® S and P ensures a pleasant room ambience. The sophisticated ELDACON® micropris-matic technology also guarantees uniform, glare-free

light distribution and a high level of visual comfort on the working plane, and with outstanding quality of light for working at computer screens. This is also why the luminaires are especially suitable for mounting directly above workstations. The luminaires also allow an office layout independent of their positioning in the room, enabling a high level of flexibility for interior design.

FlexibilityThanks to maximum quality of light, a completely flexible arrangement of computer screens is possible on desks. This variability makes the system highly sustainable.

ELDACON® – glare elimination with highly precise microprismatics

The complex, multi-layered microprismatic structures of ELDACON® light control technology achieve outstanding glare elimination values. The highly precise microprisms guide light with a high level of uniformity onto the work surface, and the luminous surfaces have a highly homogene-ous appearance, imparting a crystal-clear, bright impression. Reflected glare below the luminaire is avoided and light emitted with UGR < 16.

Glare eliminationThe diffuse light prevents disturbing reflections on computer screen surfaces, which in turn avoids viewing being hampered and prevents the onset of tiredness.

Lighting management – variable systems for individual needs

Lighting management systems can be adapted to differing spatial and lighting situations. While motion sensors record movement in a defined room, light sensors register the current level of illuminance. They are connected to an individually programmable controller, and this forms the core of the system and controls the connected luminaires and solar protection systems based on sensor information. Customer-specific switch programmes or touch panels are integrated for individual control options. Touch panels are able to visualise the system state and improve user convenience.

Intelligently improving convenience and cutting costsInnovative light management systems from Siteco make available the key advantages of optimal lighting conditions due to homogeneous illuminance levels, CO² savings and significantly lower energy overheads via the perfect control of artificial light . They optimise lighting installations for example in single and group offices, conference and meeting rooms and supplement

daylight with the ratio of artificial light needed for the specific lighting task when the presence sensor detects persons in the room. Lighting management systems can be manually adjusted by users with push buttons, and thus can also be individually controlled for maximum comfort and convenience and a high level of flexibility, along with low installation effort.
