Lifestyle Monthly knows the importance of advertising. Companies who advertise during a recession are more successful than those who don’t and we practice what we preach. This is our advertising board at the Eddie Stowbart Stadium in Widnes, through out advertising deal with St Helen’s Rugby Football League Club.

I have had the pleasure of working with Amanda Moss of Lifestyle Monthly fame for in excess of two years. During this time she has been a pleasure to work with always providing valuable insights to marketing developments and innovative ways in which to bring your product to market.

Amanda has exceeded the criteria set in our contract and the outputs we anticipated and she has done so to benefit my business by bringing added value to the service she offers.

I have no hesitation in recommending Amanda Moss and particularly the Lifestyle Monthly Magazine for exceeding expectations and presenting a friendly professional attitude.

John Bullock, CityLets Liverpool

We have been using Lifestyle Magazine for a number of years to promote various special occasions and events for the hotel. We have always found their approach to be second to none and that when required they have offered valuable insight into our campaigns to help ensure maximum exposure and return. All the staff we encounter are first class and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other companies.

Enda Rylands, General Manager, Ramada Plaza Southport

Our first advert worked a treat!”...”We’ve had a really good response so please keep our advert in each month!” (at least for the next three months)” You ran a full page advert for us in the Summer on the inside back cover to tell people about our insurance assessing, which was very well received and we have had some clients coming as a result - so thank you! Because of this, we would like to book a regular monthly advert in Lifestyle Monthly Magazine...

Nik Ellis, Managing Director

Amanda Moss is an amazing person who is full of infectious energy and at the same time highly professional. She does the extra mile in every event and project in which she is involved. Her publication has gone from strength in such a short time but its her self motivation and hard work that has brought it to where it is today. She is a great role model for young mothers of today as she has achieved the correct balance of motherhood and business. Long may her great success continue.

Sandra Gee

Having worked with your publication for a couple of years now to promote many different products it’s worth noting how pleased we are with theexposure your magazine has provided. Whether promoting our Stadium tours or family friendly Boot Room Restaurant for people wanting to plan a visit out or our Experience Days for those looking to purchase a gift for someone special, we’re very satisfied on many levels with the support Lifestyle Monthly has given us.

TINA MALONETalks to editor, Amanda Moss, ahead of her stage appearance atSt Helens Theatre Royal where she appears in the stageproduction of Rita, Sue & Bob Too.

Tina was keen to get involved with the stage production.Playing the wife, Michelle, she says, “I am very choosyabout the roles I play but I did this for a number ofreasons. One is that I have worked with the director onBrookside, so I feel safe and comfortable with her. Andthe producer is a consummate professional whom I havegreat respect for. Plus I also get to act with my daughterwhich is a fabulous opportunity.

“Rita, Sue & Bob Too is as prevalent now as it is in the 80s.Back then there was the recession and now we havewhat I call The Depression. It is very relevant. Just likethe classics in social trends like, Rising Damp, RS&B Toohas very graphic social issues. It is poignant, sad andunfortunately shows a way of life that is progressing.”

Tina, 48, is an award winning actress who played Mo inBrookside but is probably best known as Mimi inShameless. She will be filming the 9th series ofShameless as she prepares to tread the boards at the StHelen’s Theatre Royal.

“How do I prepare for a live performance?”she ponders“Actually because I’ll be filming for TV every day I will justincorporate my stage performance.” She continues“I ama workaholic, I have OCD and I am Bi-polar, everything Ido, I do to excess. It’s a good job I don’t take drugs.”

Tina recently celebrated her first anniversary with herhusband, personal trainer, Paul Chase whom she met ata fitness boot camp. Having been fitted with a gastricband, she has lost 7 stone and 4lbs and is on a personalmission to slim down to just 7 stone. She says that thepressures on being thin in show business have notaffected her.

“I am 5ft 1 and was always overweight. I was always castas the Roseanne Barr, I have always played fat birds. Ihave been in Brookside, 12 films, the National Theatreand Shameless. I have been lucky to act alongside thegreats such as Ricky Tomlinson and Pete Postlethwaitebut it was never about me feeling pressure to be thin. The bottom line is that if you overeat you get fat. Thereis no other excuse. And being bi polar was a greatexcuse for me to have my head stuck in the biscuit tin. Now, for the first time in my life, I want to be 7 stones, tobe thin in myself and also next year I want a baby, I amhaving tests for IVF and I would give it all up now if Icould have a baby.”

Tina know she has been extremely fortunate to be in theenviable position of being offered scripts every week.Aswe speak she is in talks with ITV about a new project.Shesays,“I know I am lucky every day, but if there was onerole I would love to ply and that ids Lady MacBeth. It isadream to play her. I also watch films with SuzanSarandon and think she has been given such sharp, pivotal roles which, my god, I would love to do, it wouldbe amazing. I would also kill to work for Taratino orScorsesse.Having said that, I am very happy where I am.”

Tina Malone will be appearing at St Helens TheatreRoyal in Rita, Sue & Bob Too from Wednesday

October 12-Sunday October 16. For more detailsvisit www.sthelenstheatreroyal.com

ACHATWITH Actor, poet, writer and DJ CRAIG CHARLES is a a very busy manwho took time out of his hectic schedule to chat to us about his

forthcoming DJ set at Liverpool Fashion week next month.

What are you looking forward to the mostabout liverpool Fashion Week?I like clothes, I like to look snappy and I like wellmade clothes so I will be checking out all the newstyles on the catwalk. But if I am perfectly honest, the thing I am looking forward to the most is mygig. I am very selfish and I love Djings and playingmy music. I love my music, I love the hip vivbe andit goes really well with the fashion element. I can’twait for people to dance to what I play.

Did you think Red Dwarf would ever becomethe cult status that it has achieved?Never. We thought it was a quaint little BBCcomedy that we’re do a series or two and thenmove on. I can’t believe it was 25 years ago! Lastweek I was at a Red Dwarf Convention and therewere 10- and 11 year old kids living Red Dwarf andI was thinking, :”You weren’t even born whenI was in it.”Clearly the mums anddads have passed on their love ofthe programme.

Tell us about the newsseries of Red Dwarf. It’s going to relight the fire. We’re filming six half hourepisodes, it will be the samecostumes and some new ones. Eachepisode will be a stand alone withtheir own story rather than acontinuation of stories through the series. We’ll be travelling through space having alaugh.

What are you working on now?I fell very luck to be working. I’ve got Corrie,Red Dwarf and I am Djing every weekend. I’mtrying to get sacked but no one will let me go. But Iappreciate it, I really do. I’ve been working a longtime, I started inTV when I was 17 and I’m 47 now. That’s 30 years of being onTV and still going, I amvery lucky. Some people don’t last a series.

Do you like being recognised on the street? It’s mixed blessings really. Its’ nice for people tocome up and chat to you but then mobile phonecameras are the bane of my life. I hate it when I amhaving diner in a restaurant with my wife and I turnround and people are taking pictures. I hate that.

Would you ever star in a realityTV show?Never. I am an actor and I have trained for this.It is another bain of my life when someone goes ona reality TV show and the next minute they haveapart in Eastenders or something. You just need togoonTV for five minutes, humiliate yourself and geta series.

What is your proudest achievement? My three children without a doubt. I am proud oflots of things though, I am proud of the work I do,I like doing the stuff I am doing, I like theprogrammes I made such as RobotWars, that

was groundbreaking stuff. And I have to pinchmyself when I think I am in Corrie, to be in part ofa national institution. I am incredibly lucky, I knowthat, I love my job and my hobby of Djing, I loveeverything, my house, my kids and my lovely wife.I am a very lucky man.

Do you want your children to follow inyour footsteps?I will encourage my children to be whatever theywant to be. My son is a brilliant musician, he is 23and brilliant . He is writing his first album now.My two daughters are very academic… I just wantthem to be happy.

What is it like to be on the set ofCoronation Street. Not a day goes by when I am not set and I have tosay to myself,“I’m in Corrie.” This is very specialand I have made a lot of friend, in particular SimonGregson is my best mate. Corrie is something Iwatched as a kid, I never dreamt that I wouldactually be in it.

Do you hang out with the cast?Yes we are all very close and it’s easier to go out asa crowd and get gawped out collectively. Then ifsomeone gets drunk and falls over your snappedtogether and you help each other out,

How is our autobiography coming along?Well I have written it but it’s not been published. My agent says I can’t because it is too hardcoreand rock the boat. It’s something to put out laterwhen everyone’s dead.

What’s the best advice you have been given? My dad said,“Live on your potential before your 30and live on your achievement afterwards.” It givesyou good scope to make mistakes and learn fromthem.

What are your plans for the future?Well I am doing the festival circuit with my music, Iam doing a lot on the radio- I love the radio- I amdoing a Craig Charles no sleep til breakfast 12hour gig, then I leave Corrie in a huge storyline, goand film Red Dwarf and come back to Corrie.

What do you spend your money on?I don’t spend my money, my wife does! She m buys most ofmy clothes. To be honest my biggest expense are the kidsschool fees. They go to a very good school.

Anything else we should know about?I have written some stories called Scary Fairy for children,it’s nursery rhythms with snot, blood and gore all told bylittle fairies. I am just getting it illustrated at the moment andin talks with aTV company to get it made into a cartoon series.

“Except for Evans there is nothing on the high streetfor these women. So I did my research and boughtstock from all over the world."

Beth eventually plans to design her own styles,“I havelots of ideas, “she says, “There is so much scope forexpansion of my business. I have my own design ideaswhich I am developing, I am also currently sourcinglocal dressmakers/designers who would like to workalongside butterfly and create their own fashion lines.I want to keep it all local, that's very important to me.”

Beth studied at Sacred Heart High, Crosby and HughBaird College before landing a job in retail and shehasn't looked back since. A size 14 herself, shedescribes her styles as creative.“I like to mix things up,”she explains, “ I don't do high fashion labels as theydon't seem to fit me right and are always made forpeople with small chest, I find. So I shop on the highstreet and accessorize. I love putting different lookstogether.”

Looking forward to her debut catwalk appearance atLiverpool Fashion Week, Beth says, “I am so excited. There's a huge buzz around the event and I can't wait.I am the first independent retailer in the region forwomen with proper curves and I am the first boutiquein Liverpool to provide this service. Liverpool FashionWeek is fantastic for championing proper sizedwomen. The average size in the UK is a 16 and if you gointo a shop, all the 14s and 16s are sold out first. There'sa reason for that.”

"I live and breathe fashion, I love it. I can't wait tostart work on my own designs."

She added,“I hate the phrase plus size”. My boutique isfor women with natural curves normal sized womenreally.“my boutique is for women with natural curves- normal size women!. Butterfly brings a new, excitingplace for women to shop!.”

Glamour

It's all go ready for the fabulousness of Liverpool Fashion Week and with A/W 2011 just around the corner (yes I know - sshhh!) we all need to know what to wear on our faces and how to follow the trends (well we already know what's going in the wardrobe), so this month I've decided to showcase some charts of what

you can expect down the catwalk at fashion week with the help of Victoria Hooker of ProChart.........There has long been an absence of make-up from the last couple of seasons, however this year it's back with a bang with full on glamour that's got a twist. Nods are given to the siren like '40's, swinging '60's, jewel tones and dominatrix, there is a clear set of rules that makes it easy with double acts.THE trend to follow is a grown up, contemporary Marlene Dietrich inspired look with dewy skin, no eye liner - instead soft brown and golds blended away towards the brows with pared down lashes and a glossy cherry red lip that is pure 2011.......complete with matching nails as seen at Gucci, DVF and Ungaro.Chanel, Fendi and Zac Posen showed metallic eyes with layers of iridescent pigment using cream formulations so no messy fall out- think holographic and texture, flawless skin with lips being kept semi-matt as this is a lip AND eye look.AT Cavalli, D&G, and PPQ the '60's hit town with a winged glossy eye, nude lips and doe eyed lashes - think Leighton Meester or Reece Witherspoon.Brows were well and truly back on the scene with a squared off bold, almost boyish look seen at Burberry, Michael Kors and Prada - Keep your skin minimal with this look to stay on trend. And for those of us that thought we were all on trend, well it appears we've been wearing our blusher in the wrong place....... Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs showed us how to amend this however - blush is now worn low on the cheek to the jawline giving a more natural and womanly flush - top tip.... use a cream texture for a seamless finish.

Also this month I was lucky enough to attend the Jacques Townhouse Launch and meet the so gorgeous Keisha Buchanon who is the face of Jacques cider. This is the first year in Liverpool, being already established in London. For those not in the know, the Townhouse is a girlie haven that's open for 10 days a year and you can have your make-up, hair, nails done; dress up and have your photo taken or even have a drink in the bar complete with lush cupcakes. You are treated to the most amazing of experiences with Mr. Flowers (the head butler) meeting you upon arrival and presenting you with the key to the bar!! Certainly look out for it next year as by the time we go to print it will unfortunately have finished, though I for one wish it would stay all year long!

This is just a taste of what to expect to see on the catwalk so don't forget your tickets. For any further information on these or any other looks please email me ([email protected]) or Facebook me (Jennie MUA Freedland). Stay GORGEOUS!!

Tina knows she has been extremely fortunate to be inthe enviable position of being offered scripts every week.As we speak she is in talks with ITV about a new project. She says,“I know I am lucky every day, but if there wasone role I would love to play and that is Lady MacBeth. Itis a dream to play her. I also watch films with SuzanSarandon and think she has been given such sharp, pivotal roles which, my god, I would love to do, it wouldbe amazing. I would also kill to work for Taratino orScorsesse.Having said that, I am very happy where I am.”

I MANAGED TO CATCH UP WITH HIM ON HISWAY INTO WORK;Where did your interest in cooking stem from?

I was really fortunate to fall in love with cooking while I was at school andit stuck with me ever since – that was a long time ago now mind! What made you choose Craxton Wood for your latestventure and why a British Grill?

Craxton Wood is a bit of a sleeping giant, it was once "the" place to come. And I believe there is no reason why it shouldn't get back there.

The reasoning for choosing a British Grill is because the phrase "Grill"appeals to a bigger market and it is the larger market that we are targeting,we think that good food should be available for everyone, all purses. What is it about The British Grill that makes you proud to putyour name to it?

That ones easy, the restaurant was designed by my lovely wife and I, so thestyle and the food has really got our stamp on it. The British Grill has all thetrue classics that customers recognise and feel comfortable with. If ourcustomers feel comfortable and happy, we feel happy, and everyone’s awinner! What’s the atmosphere like at the British Grill?

Well, It’s inevitable that a hotel restaurant will have the feeling of being for-mal. However our job is to break down any feelings of pompousness andwelcome people into the hotel/restaurant with open arms and make ourcustomers feel at ease, but at the same time giving them the best service wephysically can, making each guest feel the most important in the room.I have been told you use a special grill?

Yes, it’s called the Josper Grill, which is basically an indoor BBQ, that needsstoking up with fresh coals all day long. The flavour that it gives the British Beefand the whole stuffed sea bass can not be compared to food that has beencooked conventionally in an oven. What type of food can the diners expect?

Of course, like with all of our restaurants, regionality is very important to us,we rely on local customers so it‘s only right that we support local businesses. The choice of foods varies quite a lot, but in a nut shell we are cooking GreatBritish dishes the way they should be cooked, with pride and dignity. You are famous for British Classics made with a twist, wheredo you get your inspiration from?

My style of cooking has evolved from working with some of the best chefsin the country and earning a Michelin Star twice myself in the past (so I wouldsay my back ground is purely fine dinning) but owning The Church Greenand The Collingwood I have learned to listen what people actually want toeat, so my love and desire to cook British classics has stemmed from this re-ally.What is it about the British Grill that will make it stand out?

Craxton Wood was once a serious family gathering and dining destinationand that is something that I am working so hard to re-establish. We are nottrying to reinvent the wheel here, we are simply trying to cook the dishes thatpeople want but cook them correctly.

The Kirkby-born chef, who made his name as head chef atthe Dorchester Grill, who incidentally at the tender age of

22 was the youngest chef to win the Michelin Star, hasteamed up with Macdonald Hotels to launch his latestventure at the newly refurbished Craxton Wood Hotel.

Yet nearby and sometimes overlooked is a whole world ofRugby League, the most physically demanding contact sportthere is. It is played and televised across the globe but thegame in England is dominated by teams from towns and citiesalong the M62 corridor and currently by an axis of three teamsfrom the north west: St Helens, Wigan and Warrington.

This year sees Liverpool’s near neighbour St Helens playinghome matches at The Halton Stadium, home of Widnes, whilea fabulous new ground is constructed in time for the 2012season. St Helens has a long and glorious history but 2012 is anew beginning for them in a 21st century stadium worthy of agreat club. The 18,000 capacity creation – now nearingcompletion on time and on budget - will provide fans with abrilliant spectator experience as well as becoming a greatresource on non-match days for businesses and others to usefor events of all shapes and sizes, from parties to conferencesin the state-of-the-art surrounds of an iconic new venue. Thefamous red vee on the team’s white strip will remain, but for thecoming season Saints will be boasting a new shirtsponsor in international Wirral brand Typhoo Tea.

Despite its deserved reputation for toughness, Rugby Leagueplayers are better behaved than in many other team sports. Thecomplaints levelled at sometimes unsporting footballers arerarely levelled at the stars of League. Perhaps because of this

it attracts a higher percentage of family fans thanfootball. The atmosphere at Rugby League matches is oftenelectric. Consider this: the classic fixture, Saints vs Wigan, isthe original officially sanctioned Derby. Forget Everton vsLiverpool. In 1780 the 12th Lord Derby gave his name to abrand new horserace in Epsom and a descendant would go onto give the same name to the Rugby League thriller. The currentLord Derby is a keen supporter of the club and often goes tothe games. And his family’s historic seat, Knowsley Hall, isinvolved too, with Knowsley Safari Park a club sponsor.

Stadium entertainment has been a mainstay of Rugby Leaguefor a long time, some of it appropriated from US sports andsome of it appropriated by them: cheerleaders, mascots andpumping music are standard. And teams will often run out in asea of dry ice. It’s stirring stuff, even for the neutral.

And pricing is part of it too: Saints season tickets are nowavailable for 2012 and family season tickets work out at lessthan £5 per person per game while for juniors it’s less than £2per game and free for under 5s. Season ticket renewal pricesare frozen for 2012 and 2013 and new purchases made beforeNovember 30 cost just £200 for adults.

Cannot believe it is now September (where has the summer gone!)…….At the time of writing this JLS are still holding the crown at the top of the singles chart with their song that I just can’t get out of my head this morning ‘she makes me wanna’ (feat Dev). We actually had the boys on the show last week and managed to get one of their biggest fans from the North West and Wales on, Katie Hodson to ask them some questions, she was absolutely delighted, love her. JLS are busy boys at the mo and are recently confi rmed as one of the acts appearing at the welsh capital’s Millennium stadium for the ‘Michael Forever’ tribute concert, you can register now for tickets (its lotto stylie like the Olympics were), online at michaelforevertribute.com on Oct 8th, this will be broadcast around the world in 2d and 3d in what has been described as a ‘unique celebration of the performer’s work to mark the 40th anniversary of his solo career’. Other acts confi rmed so far are Christina Aquilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green and JLS including members of the Jackson family. As you can tell I love my boy bands, so was very excited to also hear that The Wanted had such a good time in Chester last month that they decided to come back to the north west. They will be in Liverpool in February next year at the echo arena, tickets on sale now. From a boyband to a man band now-Take That. Saw them in Wembley- amazing. Although if I am honest, no need for all the swearing Robbie… lots of kids were watching. It was a bit like the Robbie show, and a bit of take that! Still fantastic night at Wembley, Michael Mcintyre seemed to enjoy it (he was sat only few seats away from me) ….also bumped into Kelly Brook who was showing of her toned stomach in a cropped top and jeans, I am only envious of her fl at tummy, couldn’t stop staring! I am still working on mine! I have got a six pack, you have aswell…..according to my PT Emily at Hoole Hall we all do, I guess we just have to fi nd it under the fat, or at least I do! Antigua for me is approaching and I am so looking forward to just lying on a beach doing nothing. I tried that new Indian Barton Rouge on the canal next to Harkers in Chester the other night which has its very own champagne bar too! It was good and I loved the rose at the end of the meal too! Gutted to hear that Chicken tikka masala is no longer the UK’S favourite curry it has been replaced by the hotter Jalfrezi…………….i wonder if this is due to the large quantities of green chillis which are said to increase your metabolism therefore aiding weight loss! Yes I know curry’s are not the best for our waistline but when you think its got chillies in, it kinda makes it good for us right?!! Same scenario as us ordering a big mac and fries and oh a diet coke to go with that!!

Big month for movies, still a popular choice is Harry Potter, the fi nal is still at the top of the movie charts ….and not suprising, when you have young girls, (my friend’s daughter who has already seen it six times!). I found it pretty dark, but a fantastic climax to what had has undoubtedly been the most successful movie franchise of all time, well done JK Rowling. Saw Horrible bosses at Cineworld last week, very funny if you want a laugh and if you hate your boss you will defi nitely be able to relate to it! Cowboys and Aliens with Daniel craig and Harrison ford is also a good watch and for the family Cars 2.

ANGELA JAYANGELA JAYReaching out to the heart

of the community.......Lifestyle Monthly welcomes

Heart FM’s popular breakfast presenter as our regular columnist

Have you heard about this new kitchen gadget which has been

invented? It could make you and I a master in the kitchen, (I need all the help

I can get!). It’s called the SuperChef and has several pre-programmed functions, its described as

the one-pot cooker- your thinking a slow cooker does that I know BUT this is better, apparently you can do a whole roast chicken in this, a pasta dish, steam fi sh and bake a cake!! The superChef can be programmed

up to 24 hours in advance and if you still aren’t ready to tuck in, the gadget automatically switches

to ‘keep warm’ mode when the food is ready. Sounds perfect for me.

At the moment I am loving:Loving the sales- got some awesome bargains ready for my holiday including a cream gorge Ted Baker bag!

Loving the fact that there will be a toy story 4- yes tom hanks will provide the voice of Cowboy woody again, I cannot wait!

Loving the idea that this new bra increases a woman’s bust by three cup sizes- its £22 british designed and called the Triple boost bra…right where can I get one?!

Not Loving:Not Loving the fact that us ladies apparently spend over £100,000 on cosmetics over a lifetime …..just think of how many pairs of shoes and bags we could get with that if we didn’t have to spend it on concealer to hide the bags under the eyes!

Not loving the fact that this welsh lad is a grandad at the age of 29, I am 30 and I don’t have any kids yet, im not in any rush either but if I don’t hurry along il be old enough to be a great grandmother- now that is super scary!

Not loving when in Debehams in the Trafford centre looking to buy Spanx- I pulled out the pair to have a nose only to fi nd out they were an M & S used pair of skanky knickers yes someone had clearly stole a pair and put their old dirty ones back in the box- disgusting…..did I buy them my co-presenter Spence asked- Hell no I went to John Lewis!!

ECHO ARENA THE LOWDOWN... With Promotions Manager, Emma McHarrie

Well, August is behind us but I’m hoping that

doesn’t mean the end of the sunshine…I’m not ready to put away the summer wardrobe just yet!

From 7-11 September the Echo Arena will be welcoming Batman Live – a brand new production that has opened in the UK before heading off to Europe & the States. I was lucky enough to catch a rehearsal show last month and it looks

amazing! Walking into the Arena, the audience will be greeted with a 3D Gotham City landscape and sounds that set the scene. Full of colour, thrills & spills, the acrobatics and production are spectacular and the show features all of Batman’s arch nemeses which will certainly be a hit with all Batman fans! The superstar that is Snoop Dogg returns to Liverpool next

For details of all events at Echo Arena see www.echoarena.com

month on 6 October – can you believe that his career spans 19 years? With that back catalogue behind him I expect that there will be some stomping favourites to hear, including recent track Sweat which at the last count had sold nearly 500,000 copies in the UK. Support comes from Chipmunk so this promises to be one the top shows of the autumn calendar!

On a sporting note, the Echo Arena is hosting the 2011 British Judo World Cup for Men which takes place on 1-2 October – we’re delighted to welcome the event to Liverpool for the first time and it adds real depth to our sporting program of events. With ranking points for Olympic qualification up for grabs the guys will be looking to benefit from the support of a vocal home crowd, so make sure you come down to support!

I can’t end without mentioning how pleased we were to welcome to the Echo Arena one of music’s biggest living legends – a big thanks to Dolly Parton for performing in Liverpool!

chilled out in ibiza

I’m back from Ibiza!I’ve had an amazingtime with the girls

and I was certainly notready to come home. Itwas lovely and hot inthe days and thenightlife cant bebeaten. We would sun-bathe all day and head

to the sunset strip most nights at CaféMambo. It’s most famous for having one ofthe best sunsets in the world and the wholearea had a stunning vibe. One of myfavourite nights was Amnesia were we sawCalvin Harris, Laidback Luke and Example. Itwas crazy busy and hot but the music madeup for it with one great song after another. We just didn’t want to leave the dance floor.

Another favourite night was at Ushuaia. It’s a hotel, which gets a lot of well known acts performing onstage around the gorgeous pool. I would love tostay at this hotel, it’s so beautiful. I absolutely lovedthe atmosphere here and we managed to get rightup close to the front of the stage. We didn’t stopdancing the whole time, everybody was loving it asthe sun set. It looked really cool.

A day to remember was definitely our Pukka Upboat party. It was soo much fun, it had great musicand some amazing views! You can’t beat dancingand drinking on a boat at with a beautiful sunsetwith your friends.

My friends and I got access into the VIP area of a barcalled ‘Blue Bar’. It was lovely with swing chairs andfree massages. We splurged on Champagne andthey treated us to some lovely free smoothie/vodkashots and fruit. It was a really gorgeous bar.

I went into Manchester the weekend before Ibizawith a few friends. We ate at a lovely restaurantcalled ‘Bar on the Alley’. Great décor, service andfood.

I was feeling adventurous and tried Oysters for the

first time. Never, again I don’t think they’re for me.

My fajitas were yum though and so was the wine.

We then moved onto

some cool bars but I could

have stayed in the

restaurant all night as

there was live music on

through into the night

which was great.

This past week I’ve really

been into topping up on

my chunky knits ready for

the season change. If you

still dare to bare then they

look really cute at the

moment with a nice pair

of coloured denim shorts.

Check out these great

ones from Topshop and

Miss Selfridge. They work

perfect with the weather now as they are still quite

light. The golden Miss Selfridge one hangs

beautifully off one shoulder.

I also treated myself to some new brogue ankle

boots. They are not too wintery which I like but they

are still perfect for when the rain starts to hit. I also

think they look quite

quirky so they were

a definite must

have.

I went into Preston

at the weekend

and headed to

Revolution. I love it

there, the music and

cocktail pitchers are

great.The DJ was

playing from

favourite holiday

tunes so it was like

being back in Ibiza, if I

closed my eyes!

I definitely have the holiday blues at the moment.

I think everyone does when they get back to

England. I can’t wait to get back to Ibiza next year.

BUSINESS FOCUS...Liverpool Business is hot this autumn .... I can’t keep up with the volume of enquiries each day from businesses looking for PR services. Our services are not just for the big corporate institutions, we also work with sole traders with expansion plans.

Businesses are looking for quality advertisements and creative assistance for more public awareness for its brand. Lets face it, those businesses spending now are those who will have a busy few months ahead. Get your business noticed! I have teamed up with Lifestyle, it's the number one magazine for this region. Together, we can offer some fantastic advertisement solutions for any type of business, any profession and any budget. I have spoken with several businesses opening branch offices in Merseyside. They have chosen Liverpool as its an exciting city, Liverpool has so much on offer, and our city has a very busy social calendar with the Aintree, Chester and Haydock Park races, the Matthew Street festival and Liverpool Fashion Week. And lets not forget the fantastic people that make our city.

One business man told me "Liverpool is a great place to be, it has so many options for our visiting corporate clients, and the business district is really booming. Liverpool is the place to be." Hear, hear. I am finding a lot of interest from companies wanting sponsorship and brand awareness. I recommend Liverpool Fashion Week which takes place 18-22 October and it's not too late to have your branding on the night. I have also received interest about the Lifestyle Awards, which take place in February next year in conjunction with myself, Karl Fischer PR, from London businesses. LFW is set to be awesome this year, and this would certainly raise the profile and brand awareness for any business. And if you don't sponsor then I urge you to attend because this really does promise to be one of Liverpool's event highlights this year.

If you are in business and are looking to expand your work or raise your profile then contact me.

Together Lifestyle and I can make a real difference.
