where he has been for the past few days tracing his late defaulting telephone superintend- ent ¬ Carr Carr is a slick one and it li amusing to hear Mr McKean tell of his methods in securing funds Those who lost money by Carrs forgeries- as far as is known are F L Watson formerly of this city who cashed one of the forged checks for 125 and the I Florida Electric Co which cashed- one for 60 Mr McKean has to the best of his knowledge not been the looser by these forgeries Carrs downfall has so often been the case was caused by a woman and one of the inmates of a west end house- at that They left Ocala together but have not been traced beyond Jack ¬ sonville It is said that Carr had over 700 with him this the woman told but its source cannot all be accounted- for There may be other forgeries for he tore out a number of checks from the companys book when he left and only the two above mentioned have shown up- Carrs wife went home to her par ¬ ents in Texas last week She Ms a
