I gruppi leviganti-lucidanti, in fusione di ghisa, dal punto di vista meccanico e tecnologico rappresentano un concentrato di affidabilità, sicurezza e semplicità di manutenzione. Il sollevamento dei mandrini avviene a mezzo di una coppia di pistoni con stelo costantemente protetto.I punti di ingrassaggio sono centralizzati sul fronte del mandrino per semplificare le operazioni di manutenzione ordinaria.

Il sistema di adduzione dell’acqua è posizionato sopra ai mandrini, con passaggio in asse nel mandrino, per evitare depositi ed accumuli di residui; in caso di sovralimentazione od otturazione, l’acqua viene deviata all’esterno del corpo mandrino.

Under the mechanical and technological viewpoint, the dressing-polishing spindle units with cast-iron casing, are a concentration of reliability, safety and simplified maintenance.Spindle units are lifted by a couple of pistons with constantly protected rod.The lubrication points are centralized in front of the spindle unit in order to simplify the routine maintenance operations.The water feeding system is positioned over the spindle units with passage along the spindle axis so as to prevent any possible build-up of residue; in case of over-supply or clogging, water is diverted outside the spindle casing.

I ponti di scorrimento della trave La trave poggia su due spalle (tre nella versione con 17 gruppi leviganti/lucidanti mod. KFT3600/017) scorrevoli lungo robusti ponti in fusione di ghisa, nei quali sono alloggiate piste di scorrimento in acciaio temprate e rettificate di grosso spessore con pattini a rulli di grosso diametro in bagno d’olio.Gli scorrimenti sono protetti da carter a labirinto in acciaio inox.

The beam sliding supportsThe beam rests on two shoulders (three shoulders in the version KFT 3600/017 holding 17 dressing/polishing spindle units) which move along sturdy, cast-iron bridges that house tempered, thick, rectified and hardened steel slideways with large diameter roller slides in an oil bath.Sliding components are protected by stainless steel labyrinth guards.

The beamThe beam is built using a special design with box-type section in order to both contain weight and provide high rigidity.Therefore, the spindle/beam assembly is very dynamic and enables to attain extremely rapid acceleration/deceleration ramps and a very high travel speed (up to 70 m/min).

La motorizzazione della traveLo spostamento alternativo della trave è comandato da due motoriduttori (uno nella versione KFT 3600/08 con 8 gruppi leviganti) fissati alle estremità della stessa, sincronizzati meccanicamente e comandati da un brushless.La trasmissione del moto avviene a mezzo di sistema pignone/cremagliera.La velocità di lavoro della trave arriva a 70 m/min.

The motorization of the spindle-holding beamThe reciprocating movement of the beam is actuated by two gearmotors (one gearmotor only in the version KFT 3600/08 with 8 dressing/polishing spindle units) mounted on each end, mechanically synchronized and controlled by a brushless motor.Motion is transmitted by means of a rack and pinion system.The beam working speed achieves 70 m/min.

I primi 7 gruppi leviganti sono separati dai successivi 10 gruppi lucidanti, e tra il 7° ed il 10° gruppo la trave appoggia su un ponte intermedio di scorrimento così da conferire una particolare rigidità e “aggressività” alla prima sezione levigante della

macchina. Su questa prima sezione si possono anche installare mandrini calibratori al posto dei leviganti. Sotto al ponte intermedio è posizionato un gruppo di lavaggio ad alta portata per lavare la superficie delle lastre dai residui delle grane grosse degli abrasivi leviganti, prima che le stesse entrino nella sezione di lucidatura.

This version was specially designed to combine high productivity with topmost processing quality.The spindle beam is composed of two distinct sections which are stiffly tied up so as to form a single piece. Seven dressing spindle units are mounted on the first section (which is stiffer), while ten finishing spindle units are installed on the second section.

The two parts are separated by a bridge that acts as a support/slideway. If desired, it is possible to replace the dressing spindle units installed on the first section with calibrating spindle units. A slab washing unit with high flow rate is installed under the halfway bridge to eliminate the residue of the dressing grains before slabs are processed by the polishing grains.

LevibretonLa rilevazione del profilo e dello spessore delle lastre Un lettore ottico statico rileva la forma delle lastre, con risoluzione di 10x10 mm, mentre un rilevatore sonar ne rileva lo spessore. Le due apparecchiature lavorano senza alcun contatto con il materiale. Il sistema consente l’intervento automatico delle teste e garantisce l’auto adeguamento della corsa della trave portamandrini alla larghezza delle lastre in lavoro.

The slab profile and thickness readersAn optical reader memorizes the slab profile with 10x10 mm resolution, while a sonar reader detects its thickness. These two readers work without any contact with the material.This system allows to automatically control the raising-lowering of the heads and guarantees the self-adjustment of the spindle beam travel as to the width of the processed slabs.

• sollevamento minimo dei piatti e successiva discesa rapida, consentendo così migliore lucidatura dei bordi delle lastre e maggiore velocità di lavoro.

The automatic control of the abrasive consumptionConnected to both the control PC and the sonar sensor memorizing the thickness of each single slab, this optional system performs the following functions:• continuous, automatic monitoring of the abrasive

consumption for each individual plate, with video-messages and pre-alarm before the tool is

completely consumed.• minimal raising of the plates and subsequent rapid

lowering ensuring a better polishing of the slab sides as well as a higher working speed.

The water plantThe water supply to the plates is by a common, large-diameter, PVC-made central piping, placed above the spindle units. The water supply from the main pipe to the slabs flows vertically inside the shaft of the spindle unit.With this system, when the machine is stopped, all the water inside the piping automatically flows out by gravity thus avoiding any possible stagnation and consequent build-up of solid residues inside the pipes. In case of overflowing or clogging, water is diverted outside the spindle casing.

Il sistema idrico L’adduzione idrica ai piatti avviene tramite una tubazione centrale comune in PVC, di grosso diametro, posta superiormente ai mandrini. L’adduzione dell’acqua dalla tubazione principale alle lastre passa verticalmente in asse all’interno dell’albero del mandrino. Con questo sistema, quando la macchina viene fermata, tutta l’acqua all’interno delle tubazioni defluisce automaticamente per gravità evitando così ogni stagnazione con conseguente formazione di residui solidi all’interno dei condotti. In caso di sovralimentazione od otturazione, l’acqua viene deviata all’esterno del corpo mandrino.

L’impianto elettrico/elettronicoL’impianto elettrico/elettronico è cablato con la moderna tecnica “bus di campo”. Si tratta di un semplice unico cavo che porta tutti i segnali dal PC alle varie centraline poste a bordo macchina, con trasmissione digitale dei segnali.Con questo sistema avanzato la trasmissione dei segnali è sicura ed esente da interferenze, e l’individuazione di eventuali guasti è molto semplificata.

Il collegamento elettrico tra la parte fissa della macchina e la trave mobile è realizzato mediante un sistema a guaine parallele, garanzia di sicurezza e di lunga durata dei cavi.Tutte le apparecchiature elettriche/elettroniche compreso il PC a bordo macchina sono di tipo commerciale, di primari produttori mondiali, così da agevolare l’assistenza tecnica e la reperibilità di ricambi praticamente ovunque nel mondo.

The electric / electronic plantThe electric/electronic plant is wired with the innovative “field-bus” technique. It is a simple, single cable delivering all the PC signals with digital transmission to the different control units installed on the machine.With this state-of-the-art system, the signal transmission is safe and free from any interference, and the identification of possible failures is greatly simplified.The electric plant connecting the stationary parts of the machine with the mobile beam is by a parallel sheathing system, which secures safer working conditions and a longer life of the cables.All the electric/electronic equipment, including the PC installed on the machine, are of the commercial type and supplied by first-class world manufacturers so as to make easier both the technical assistance and the readiness of spare parts, virtually throughout the world.

L’interfaccia operatore è semplice ed immediata, realizzata con un PC che opera in ambiente Windows, dotato di touch-screen.Vengono gestite le principali funzioni di lavorazione, fra le quali: • velocità nastro della macchina e sincronismo

di tutta la linea compresi caricatori e rulliere di collegamento;

• movimento trave (velocità, programmazione personalizzata delle rampe di accelerazione e decelerazione);

• controllo continuo automatico del consumo di abrasivo di ogni singolo piatto, con messaggi video e preallarme prima dell’esaurimento completo dell’utensile;

• possibilità di “escludere” tutte, alcune o una sola lastra in lavoro, oppure anche solo parte di una lastra (testa, coda, angolo) in lavoro.

The operator interface is simple and immediate, rea-lized with a PC operating in a Windows environment, and is provided with touch-screen.The major working functions are controlled, such as:• speed of the machine conveyor and synchronism

of the whole line, including loaders and connection roller conveyors;

Il PC consente inoltre di raccogliere ed organizzare un insieme di dati statistici sulla produzione e sui consumi, come ad esempio:• statistiche di produzione su periodi parziali, o per

commessa, per turno, progressive, totali (tempo macchina accesa, in lavoro, in allarme, metri quadrati lavorati…);

• statistiche di consumo utensili (per singola testa, metri quadrati prodotti in un dato periodo con l’utensile in lavoro, metri quadrati prodotti con l’ultimo utensile sostituito…);

• diagnostica dello stato macchina, con descrizione a video degli allarmi intervenuti;

• programmazione della manutenzione con allarme in video alla scadenza degli intervalli di manutenzione preventiva;

• archivio immagini delle lastre lavorate (così come rilevate dal lettore ottico in entrata della macchina).

La gestione di questi dati con PC rende inoltre queste informazioni facilmente trasferibili ad altri PC di supervisione o controllo. Oppure esportate in files formato .txt, per essere elaborati per mezzo di un qualsiasi software applicativo d’office automation(es. Word, Excel, ecc.).

Furthermore, the PC gathers and processes statistical data relating to production and consumptions, such as: • production statistics on partial periods, or on job

orders, or per shift, progressive or accumulative (hours of machine switched on, in operation, in alarm, square meters processed, etc.);

• tool wear statistics (per each single plate, square meters produced - at a given time - with the operating tool, square meters produced with the last replaced tool, etc.);

• diagnostics of machine condition, with video display of any alarm occurred;

• maintenance programming with alarm on the display when preventive maintenance has expired;

• image file of the slabs processed (as they are memorized by the optical reader placed at the entrance of the machine).

Moreover, the PC control of all these data makes them readily available to other supervising or control PC, or data can be exported in “.txt” format files so as to be processed by any “office automation” application software (for instance, Word, Excel, etc.)

Protezioni paraspruzzi in gomma sono installate sulla trave davanti ai piatti a “livello” del materiale da lucidare.
