Once upon a time, in a land far away on another continent a group of nomadic people lived
They kept to themselves and didn’t bother anybody, until one day that changed.
They stretched for world domination.
Everyone wanted to know their secret to success, so for one night only, Genghis Khan answered any questions outsiders had.
Genghis Khan made sure his soldiers were skilled is all areas of battle such as: HorsemanshipArcheryFormationRotation
Loyalty was an important characteristic to have in the Mongolian army. Perfection was also an essential quality, no slip ups were allowed!
The Mongols had unique weapons. They had siege machines that would destroy city walls and double curved bows.
They often used Kharash which were prisoners used as human shields.
The Mongols had very interesting war tactics.
There were soldiers in the army who were called Lancers. Their duty was to make sure the enemy was dead after the archers shot them with a bow and arrow. They were kind of like the clean up crew.
As you can see, Genghis Kahn was a great warrior and leader.
Speed is an important advantage in battle. The Mongols carried as little equipment as possible. This helped them outrun the opposing side.
Even though he was harsh and not a very nice person, his tactics were successful.
The Mongols empire extended to Russia, China, and the Middle East.
Do you think the Mongols reached domination?
