• Obiettivo dello studio: valutare efficacia e sicurezza di Lopinavir/ritonavir + tenofovir (LPV/r+TDF) come regime iniziale in pazienti con infezione da HIV.
• Metodi: trial di 72 settimane prospettico, randomizzato in aperto, che ha confrontato LPV/r+TDF versus LPV/r + due (non-TDF) NRTIs in pazienti HIV-positivi con HIV-RNA >400 copie/mL con qualunque conta dei CD4. Endpoint primario la proporzione di soggetti con HIV-RNA <50 copie/mL a 72 settimane.
