Leisure Leagues pride ourselves inrunning the best small-sidedfootball leagues in the UK and have recently expanded our league network and branched out into Europe and the United States.

Once your league has started we will ensure the same high standards are maintained throughout your playing experience with Leisure Leagues. We achieve this by listening to our teams at all times, by appointing the best match officials, by ensuring your league is always full and that our Head Office staff are always on hand to help you with any query.

1. In most leagues the ball can go above head height but not from the keeper, goalkeepers must still roll out the ball under arm2. The ball must re enter play by an under arm roll in or a kick in from the side of the pitch.3. The goalkeeper cannot distribute the ball with his feet.4. Sliding tackles are not allowed. 5. When a goal is scored, play is restarted from the goalkeeper. Outfield players are not allowed in the goalkeepers area (penalty offence for defensive side)6. Substitutes are roll on, roll off and are unlimited.7. All free kicks are indirect and players must be two yards from the taker. Referees are instructed to advance play for dissent.8. All kick-ins are indirect 9. Back passes to the goalkeeper are allowed, but only if the ball has touched two or more outfield players. 10. Swearing at the referee is an automatic sending off offence.11. With our unique ‘flexi-squad’ system teams don’t have to register players, so they can use any number of different players in their team throughout the season. RULES

FAQ’sAre the leagues indoor or outdoor?All Leisure Leagues are 5 or 6 a-side and are played mainly outdoors on brand new all weather pitches. However we also run a selection of high quality indoor leagues.

Is there an entry fee & how much are the games?For most leagues there is a £25 entry fee but for some this is free. The cost of matches each week varies from £18-£34 for the whole team, which is paid to the referee before your game each week.

Are the Leagues affiliated?Leisure Leagues is affiliated to the UKMA which is the governing body for small sided football.

How long does a season last?This depends on how many teams are in each division, but usually a season lasts about 14 weeks. After your league season ends the new league season will commence seven days later when we present all trophies from the previous season at the league.

How many teams are in each division?Generally, there are 6-12 teams in each division. However, in the early grading leagues, this may differ slightly.

Will there be a promotion & relegation?Yes, two teams are promoted & relegated. However, if the team has won/lost a division by a large margin, we reserve the right to re-grade that team.

How many players can be used in one game?8 players can be used in 5 A-SIDE games (5+3 subs)9 players can be used in 6 A-SIDE games(6+3 subs).

Can we use more than 8/9 players in the season?Thanks to our unique ‘flexi-squad’ system you can use any amount of players. See rules for details.

Can we choose the kick-off times we play?No, all teams must play a selection of kick-off times but they will be within a time span. E.g. 7-10pm.

How long are the games?Each game is 26 or 36 minutes long depending on the league.

What happens if our opposition doesn’t turn up?This is very rare but if it does then a league manager or referee will arrange a friendly game for you.

What happens if a team drops out of the league?This happens rarely, but if it does then we will usually replace them. If this cannot be done then a points match (friendly) will be arranged, your team will automatically win this game 5-0. Please note; all points matches must be paid for in full.

What happens if our team cannot fulfil a fixture?You must give the required 7 days notice to cancel any fixture you cannot fulfil, otherwise your team will be charged for the match and will lose the game 5-0.

What happens if my team need to leave the league?All teams that wish to vacate the league must give 14 days notice and play the two-week notice period.

Do you supply the match ball?Yes, we supply all necessary equipment. We use Professional quality balls for all of our leagues.

Do you supply the referee?Yes, we supply a fully qualified official for all our matches.

What type of footwear can be worn?Trainers are the required footwear for indoors and trainers or moulded boots for outdoor leagues.

Do we require matching shirts?All teams must wear matching colours. This could be your own kit or same coloured shirts, our referee will supply you with bibs, or you can buy a discounted kit from us.

Are shin pads compulsory?No, all players play at their own risk.

EQUIPMENTAt Leisure Leagues we supply the best equipment within the 6 a-side football league industry. We have some of the highest quality training cones, coloured bibs and four layered match balls, all produced in our factory in China. Our balls are match quality and are used by several semi-professional clubs around the country.

Our cones, bibs and balls all come fully branded to give the league that professional look.

UK 6-A-SIDE CHAMPIONSHIPSThe UK 6-a-side Championships gives you the chance to compete against others across the UK and play in a one day tournament to see who will be crowned the best 6-a-side outfit. It is a fantastic day out for all and something that all teams look out for upon registering.

The UKMA organises and stages the UK 6-a-side Championships every year! Around 300 sides took part this year!

The cream of British small sided football battling it out to be the kings of 6-a-side, each team is guaranteed at least three games on the day.

PLAY FOR YOR COUNTRY!By playing in your local community league with us, you will be getting the chance to play for your country!

Leisure Leagues is affiliated to the UK Minifootball Association, who operate the England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland national 6 a side football teams. That means if you impress in your league you could find yourself invited to try out for a place in one of the national squads that will play in European and World competitions.

Players from our league network jetted off to Crete in 2013 to play for their country in front of crowds of thousands. The games were shown on live television throughout Europe and on the internet to millions of excited fans around the world.

The European championships take place every year, with the world cup of minifootball taking place for the first time in 2015 – and just by signing up you could be there!
