WELCOME TO GSEP’S FALL LEADERSHIP EVENT 2020 Hot on the Trails of a Mystery

A little bit about what to expect: Sessions will run for 1 hour each, with a mix of live, recorded, and on-your-own activities. We'll be using the Band App, throughout the event, to connect with each other, share photos and videos, and more. We hope this will leave you with a great balance of the support,

enrichment, and resources needed for a full experience. In this guide and kit, you’ll find the event schedule, session and Band access info, and any handouts your presenter may want you to have, to help you bring that Fall "Mystery" home. Speaking of home, Saturday night includes an evening “all

camp” campfire that will bring together all event participants so please join us if you can! The kit also includes most of the craft supplies needed to help you get started.

General Expectations

Virtual Fall is new to all of us, but we’re excited that you’re joining us for this special event! Please know that our goal is to provide you with a safe, fun, and enriching experience. Below are our guiding expectations:

A GSEP staff member will be present in Zoom sessions to support with technology and the chatlog.

Participants will begin and end the day together. Participants will be engaged and have the opportunity to do hands-on activities in each session.

Technology Needs

The 2020 Fall Leadership event will take place using Zoom as the primary platform. To prepare for your session, you may also be asked to watch pre-recorded videos, use online instructions, and source material from other educational organizations. Internet access and a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer will be necessary throughout the event.

We will also be using the Band App to share pictures and short videos of participants' activities and projects throughout the day, as well as use for any announcements that need to be made. The Band App is a closed social media platform for our participants. Our Volunteer Experience team will only send invitations and admit members of our GSEP Fall Leadership event community. This isn’t required, but if you’d like to join, please follow the below instructions:
