Favorite Story Ideas and Characters
- If Frog and Toad were my favorite characters, I could write about two animal friends that help each other.
- I could use the setting of Horrible Harry for a story about things that happen at school, in town, or at home.
- I could imagine a character like Flat Stanley having a new adventure, maybe at the zoo.

Forgetful Freddie and the Play
Mrs. Gray told the class they would be putting on a school play. Everyone was excited. But Forgetful Freddie was worried. He had to play the part of the king, but he wasn’t good at remembering lines.
Freddie wanted to do his best, so he practices his lines with his friend Carla every day. Each day Freddie remembered more and more lines.
The day of the play came. When it was Freddie’s turn to talk, he didn’t say a word. (How should we end the story?)
