Dear candidates for LCP 2016 of AIESEC in Venezuela,

I though a lot before being able to write the right words for youbecause this is the first contact you make with one of the most important, demanding and gratifying leadership role of AIESEC: being President of aLocal Committee.

Being LCP goes beyond as a personal goal, it’s about yourmembers, your entity and taking a protagonic and responsible role in thedevelopment of AIESEC in Venezuela. If your intentions are centered in onlyhaving personal relevance, giving amazing speeches and having a lot ofrecognitions… this is not your moment.

All this experience is about feeling your entity inside you andleadership is only an opportunity to serve to others for just 366 days of2016. You should learn a lot of concepts and have them present (AIESECway, vision, mission, national plan), transform yourself in a role model foryour LC (personal branding) and sacrifying personal and sometimesacademic moments to fulfill your responsabilities.

A LCP is conscious that takes part of something bigger than hislocal entity, he’s a small fraction of a global legacy of more than 60 yearsand his principal role is focused in delivering all the leadership andexchange experiences as possible from his role, because this is the wayAIESEC impacts in a direct and indirect way socially.

Probably you will live many hard moments in this adventure, especially when you find out that you are not leadering your entitiy asyou expected and your results are not related to what you planned.Remember that you are the principal responsible of your team image, ofengaging their ideas and orienting them to be the better version ofthemselves.

After this words I hope that you had observed that being anLCP is not simple and if you don’t have enough conviction to take thischallenge, you need to think it better and don’t fill this applicationbooklet in this moment.

However, if you know this overview and your answer is a big…YES! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! So,

Welcome to the selection processes of Local CommitteePresidents 2016, good luck!
