LBPSB Summer Program 2020 for Secondary 4 Summer Program Head Office Open for inquiries from: June 15th, 2020 to August 14th, 2020 Phone: (514) 457-5270 Hours: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Registration online only at https://fusion.lbpsb.qc.ca/login In person registration is only available at Beaconsfield High School during registration period. (Please see calendar, below) LBPSB Summer Program 2020 The Summer Program curriculum will be based on the essential components of courses offered during the regular school year. Students and parents should be aware that there is not sufficient time to cover all course content during the Summer Program session. Important topics will be reviewed and taught, but it will be the student’s responsibility to make sure that they are properly prepared for the evaluations. It is important that students attend classes. Attendance is taken daily and phone calls are made home. Successful completion of any course does not guarantee placement for the subsequent school year. This decision rests with the student’s home school administration. Courses Students will be allowed to register for up to 2 tutorials and any exams, provided they appear on their MEES report card. Courses will only be offered where numbers warrant it. A student may have to change centres to be accommodated in a desired course. Class schedules are divided into two sections, 8:30-10:20 and 10:30-12:20. Students must make themselves available to write final exams during the exam week from July 27th to July 31st, 2020. Course Fees Course fees reflect program duration and number of exams. No refunds will be awarded after the 1st day of classes. No personal cheques will be accepted. Family Rate The maximum charge to a single family for program/tutorial fees is $500.00. This family rate does not include the cost of supplemental exams and transportation. IEP Should your child have an IEP, please provide a copy (from the current year) of the document to the Summer School Administration desk before their first class. Off Island Students Bus service will be offered for off-island students only in predetermined pick-up locations to Beaconsfield High School at a cost of $60.00 for 2 weeks and $30.00 for 1 week. Busing will only be offered to students in Secondary 4 and 5. No bussing service during exams. Eligibility Secondary 4 students may register for a summer course as long as that course appears on their MEES Achievement Record.
