Philadelphia — <U.R) — The most powerful dicsel locomo­tive ever built in one unit is ready for fast freight runs down the Eastern coast. The streamlined giant packs 3,000 horsepower in one cab.

The locomotive was built by Baldwin aocomotive Works in Philadelphia for the Seaboard Air l i n e Railway and will be used to rush fruit from Flor­ida to northern markets. It has a top speed of 120 miles per hour but will not exceed 85 m.p.h. on its runs.
