He has been a part of many award winning production teams (two B Iden Payne Awards and two Austin Critics Table Awards) and received individual accolades (Column Award Nomination) in both Austin and Dallas. This is his second show for Rover Dramawerks and he is looking forward to many more. All the praise and glory goes to God, many thanks to his parents and fiancé (for all their support). David Grapes is currently a Professor of Theatre and the Director of the School of Theatre Arts and Dance at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Prior to joining the faculty at UNC, David served for six years as the Producing Artistic Director of the Tennessee Repertory Theatre in Nashville. An award-winning director, actor and playwright, David has provided administrative, financial, and artistic leadership for a wide variety of theatrical institutions including two professional regional theatres, 3D productions - a commercial bus & truck touring company, two nationally recognized university theatre departments, a variety of summer stock companies, and a number of large professional not-for-profit regional and civic theatres. During his 29-year career in the theatre, David has produced over 800 major productions that span nearly every genre of dramatic literature. His work as a director (150+ productions) has been seen from coast to coast. Richard Gwozdz, from Fort Worth, has played piano since mom slapped him in in 2nd grade. While with the famous Texas Boy’s Choir, he sang for President Kennedy, the Ed Sullivan Show, the Perry Como Show, and is on the TBC's Grammy recordings. He was Technical Music Mix Director for Pope John Paul II's visit in Colorado and Music Director for Casa Mañana Theatre's productions of Seussical the Musical, Alamo (World Premier), and Princess & the Pirate (World Premier). He was rehearsal pianist for brother Eugene while he was Music Director for Camelot, Beauty and the Beast, Godspell, Oklahoma, Cinderella, A Chorus Line, King and I, and Christmas Carol, all performed at the Bass Performance Hall in Ft. Worth. (He was often told to remember who was the Music Director, but it didn’t stop him from giving the cast members his comments.) At Onstage Bedford, he MDed La Cage Aux Folles (Won the ONY AWARD for Best Music Director) and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. At Coppell Theatre, he MDed Oliver, at the Artisan Theatre, he assisted on West Side Story, and at Tarrant County College, he conducted Urinetown. He was recently nominated for the Column's Best Music Director Award. He says, “It is fantastic working with the production team and the cast. Makes my job easier. Thanks. Oh, Plano has the best restaurants!” Brynne A. Huffman is thrilled to be making her Rover Dramawerks debut with My Way and equally thrilled to be working with Brad (her "Man #1") once again. Professional credits include Gymnasia (A Funny Thing...Forum - WaterTower Theatre); Miss Hannigan (Annie - OhLook Productions) and Jack's Mother (Into the Woods - OhLook Productions). years, she enjoys teaching when she gets the chance, as well as singing live at venues such as Mama's Party and as a guest chanteuse for the Velvet Kittens. She thanks Mark-Brian as well as the rest of the staff and crew for this opportunity to perform with such a talented cast. Much love to her ever-supportive family as well as her partner in "Love and Marriage" - her husband, Andy. Rod Kile has been playing drums for over 40 years. Not always consistently, since opportunities for a drummer to play musicals in a small theater environment are few and far between. He did the night club and country cub circuit when he first started out in his twenties. After 10 years in the US Air Force, he’s been concentrating on community theater groups and educational institutions like TCC’s theater departments in NE and SE Tarrant County or children’s theatrical groups such as STARs. Starlight Theater and On Stage in Bedford have given him numerous opportunities to play all types of musicals and experiment with electronic percussion and how it benefits a small theater environment. When he’s not doing musicals, he also performs with various different assembles playing patriotic fife and drum music, orchestral compositions, jazz, country western, rock & roll, and praise music. This is his first time to play in Plano and he’s looking forward to working with this dedicated group. He grew up with Sinatra’s music as young drummer and this will be a great opportunity to revisit his book. Paul McKenzie is pleased to be back for his third show with Rover. Previously Paul's work was seen in Veronica's Room and The Star-Spangled Girl. Paul has worked with other area theatres both on and offstage in various capacities. Some of these theatres include WaterTower Theatre, Pegasus Theatre, and Richardson Theatre Centre.
