1. SAFETY INFORMATION

Before the installation and use of the appliance, careful-ly read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer isnot responsible if an incorrect installation and use cau-ses injuries and damages. Always keep the instructionswith the appliance for future reference.

1.1 Children and vulnerable people safetyWARNING!Risk of suffocation, injury or permanent disability.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8years and above and persons with reduced physical,sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experienceand knowledge if they have been given supervision orinstruction concerning use of the appliance in a safeway and understand the hazards involved.

• Do not let children play with the appliance.• Keep all packaging away from children.• Keep all detergents away from children.• Keep children and pets away from the appliance door

when it is open.• If the appliance has a child safety device, we recom-

mend you activate it.• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by

children without supervision.

1.2 General Safety• Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance and

disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.• Do not change the specification of this appliance.• Obey the maximum load volume of 7 kg (refer to the

“Programme chart” chapter).

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced bythe manufacturer, its service agent or similarly quali-fied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• The operating water pressure (minimum and maxi-mum) must be between 0,5 bar (0,05 MPa) and 8 bar(0,8 MPa)

• The ventilation openings in the base (if applicable)must not be obstructed by a carpet.

• The appliance is to be connected to the water mainsusing the new supplied hose-sets. Old hose sets mustnot be reused.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

2.1 Installation• Remove all the packaging and the

transit bolts.• Keep the transit bolts. When you

move the appliance again you mustblock the drum.

• Do not install or use a damaged appli-ance.

• Do not install or use the appliancewhere the temperature is less than 0°C or where it is exposed to theweather.

• Obey the installation instruction sup-plied with the appliance.

• Make sure that the floor where you in-stall the appliance is flat, stable, heatresistant and clean.

• Do not install the appliance where theappliance door can not be fullyopened.

• Always be careful when you move theappliance because it is heavy. Alwayswear safety gloves.

• Make sure that there is air circulationbetween the appliance and the floor.

• Adjust the feet to have the necessaryspace between the appliance and thecarpet.

Electrical connectionWARNING!Risk of fire and electrical shock.

• The appliance must be earthed.• Make sure that the electrical informa-

tion on the rating plate agrees withthe power supply. If not, contact anelectrician.

• Always use a correctly installed shock-proof socket.

• Do not use multi-plug adapters andextension cables.

• Make sure not to cause damage to themains plug and to the mains cable.Should the appliance power supplycable need to be replaced, this mustbe carried out by our Service Centre.

• Connect the mains plug to the mainssocket only at the end of the installa-tion. Make sure that there is access tothe mains plug after the installation.

• Do not pull the mains cable to discon-nect the appliance. Always pull themains plug.

• Do not touch the mains cable or themains plug with wet hands.

• This appliance complies with theE.E.C. Directives.

Water connection• Make sure not to cause damage to the

water hoses.• The appliance is to be connected to

the water mains using the new sup-plied hose-sets. Old hose sets mustnot be reused.

• Before you connect the appliance tonew pipes or pipes not used for a longtime, let the water flow until it is clean.

• The first time you use the appliance,make sure that there is no leakage.

2.2 UseWARNING!Risk of injury, electrical shock,fire, burns or damage to the ap-pliance.

• Use this appliance in a household on-ly.

• Do not change the specification of thisappliance.

• Do not put flammable products oritems that are wet with flammableproducts in, near or on the appliance.

• Do not touch the glass of the doorwhile a programme operates. Theglass can be hot.

• Make sure that you remove all metalobjects from the laundry.

• The final part of the drying cycle oc-curs without heat (cool down cycle) toensure that the items will not be dam-aged.If you stop the appliance before theend of the drying cycle, immediatelyremove and spread out all items, sothat the heat can dissipate.

• If you use detergent, fabric softener orsimilar products, obey the instructionson the packaging.

• Wipe away lint that has accumulatedaround the appliance.

• Do not dry the damaged items whichcontain padding or fillings .

• Do not dry items such as foam rubber(latex foam), shower caps, waterprooftextiles and rubber backed articles.

• Before drying items that have been incontact with substances such as cook-ing oil, acetone, alcohol , petrol, kero-

sene, spot removers, turpentine, wax-es and wax removers, wash them inhot water with an extra amount of de-tergent.

• Do not dry items if industrial chemicalshave been used for cleaning.

• Make sure that no gas lighters ormatches have been left in the pocketsof the clothing.

• Only dry fabrics which are applicableto dry in the tumble dryer. Follow theinstructions on the fabric label.

• Do not dry not washed items in theappliance.

• If you have washed your laundry with astain remover start an extra rinse cyclebefore you start the appliance.

• Plastic items are not heat resistant.– If you use a detergent ball, remove

it before you set the drying pro-gramme.

– Do not use a detergent ball whenyou set a non-stop programme.

• Do not sit or stand on the open door.• Obey the maximum load volume.• Do not dry dripping wet clothes in the

appliance.

2.3 Care and CleaningWARNING!Risk of injury or damage to theappliance.

• Before maintenance, deactivate theappliance and disconnect the mainsplug from the mains socket.

• Do not use water spray and steam toclean the appliance.

• Clean the appliance with a moist softcloth. Only use neutral detergents. Donot use abrasive products, abrasivecleaning pads, solvents or metal ob-jects.

2.4 DisposalWARNING!Risk of injury or suffocation.

• Cut off the mains cable and discard it.

5.1 Display

The display shows the following informa-tion:

Duration of the set programmeWhen you set a programme, the display shows the duration inhours and minutes (for example 2.05).The duration is calculated automatically on the maximum loadfor each type of fabric.After the programme has started, the time remaining is updatedevery minute.

Set drying timewhen you set a drying programme, the display shows the dryingtime in minutes and/or hours (see paragraph «Drying»).After the programme has started, the appliance updates the re-maining time every minute.

Alarm codesIn the event of operating problems, some alarm codes can bedisplayed, for example (see chapter «Troubleshooting»).

End of programmeWhen the programme has finished, the display shows a blinkingzero .The DOOR light C, the WASHING light A (or the DRYING light B)and the light of button 8 go out.The door can be opened.

Incorrect option selectionIf you set an option which is not compatible with the wash pro-gramme, the display shows the message Err for some seconds.The yellow pilot light of button 8 light starts blinking.

Delay StartWhen you press the relevant button to set the delay (20 hoursmax), it appears for some seconds, then the display shows theduration of the set programme.The delay time value decreases by one unit every hour. Whenonly 1 hour remains, the time decreases every minute.

Delay Start symbolThis symbol comes on when you set the delay time.

Child safety lockThis symbol comes on when you activate the child lock function.

After you have pressed the button 8, theWASHING light (A) comes on.The machine is operating.When you set a drying programme, theDRYING light (B) illuminate and stays onduring the drying phase.The DOOR light (C) indicates when thedoor can be opened:• light on: the door cannot be opened• light blinking: the door is opening in

some minutes• light off: the door can be opened

5.3 Acoustic signalsThe machine is provided with an acous-tic device, which sounds in the followingcases:• at the end of the cycle• in the event of operating problems.

By pressing the 3 and 4 buttons simulta-neously for some seconds, the acousticsignal is deactivated (except for theevents of operating problems). By press-ing these two buttons again, the acous-tic signal is reactivated.

5.4 Child safety lockThis device permits you to leave the ap-pliance unsupervised and not to worrythat children might be injured by orcause damage to the appliance.This function remains able also when thewashing machine is not working.There are two different ways to set thisoption:• Before pressing button 8: it will be im-

possible to start the machine.

• after pressing button 8: it will be im-possible to change any other pro-gramme or option.

To enable or disable this option press si-multaneously for about 6 seconds but-

tons 4 and 5 until the symbol comeson or disappears from the display.

The consumption data shown onthis chart is to be consideredpurely indicative, as it may varydepending on the quantity andtype of laundry, on the inlet wa-ter temperature and on the am-bient temperature.

8. BEFORE FIRST USE1. To activate the drain system, put 2 li-

tre of water in the main wash com-partment of the detergent dispens-er.

2. Put a small quantity of detergent inthe main wash compartment of the

detergent dispenser. Set and start aprogramme for cotton at the highesttemperature without laundry. Thisremoves all possible dirt from thedrum and the tub.

9. DAILY USE - WASHING

9.1 Loading the laundry1. Open the appliance door.2. Put the laundry in the drum, one

item at a time. Shake the items be-

fore you put them in the appliance.Make sure not to put too much laun-dry in the drum.

3. Close the door.

Make sure that no laundry stays betweenthe seal and the door. There is a risk ofwater leakage or damage to the laundry.

9.2 Filling the detergent and additives

MAX

The detergent compartment for the prewash phase, the soakprogramme and for the stain function.Add the detergent for prewash, soak and stain remover beforethe start of the programme.

The detergent compartment for the washing phase.If you use a liquid detergent, put it immediately before you startthe programme.

Liquid additives compartment (fabric conditioner, starch).Put the product in the compartment before you start the pro-gramme.

This is the maximum level for the quantity of liquid additives.

Always obey the instructions that you find on the packaging of the de-tergent products.

9.3 Setting the programme(knob 1 )Turn the programme selector dial to therequired programme.The programme dial determines thetype of washing cycle (e.g. water level,drum movement, number of rinses) andthe washing temperature according tothe type of laundry.The pilot light of button 8 starts blinking.

The programme dial can be turned ei-ther clockwise or anticlockwise.

If you turn the programme dial toanother programme when theappliance is working, the yellowpilot light of button 8 blinks 3times. The display shows themessage Err to indicate a wrongselection. The machine will notperform the new set programme.

9.4 Setting the SPIN speed(button 2)When you set the programme, the appli-ance automatically proposes the maxi-mum spin speed allowed by that pro-gramme.Press this button repeatedly to changethe spin speed. The relevant light willlight up.RINSE HOLD : the water of the last rinseis not emptied out to prevent the fabricsfrom creasing. When the programmehas finished the display shows a blinking

.The DOOR pilot light goes on.The pilot light of button 8 is off. Thedoor is blocked to indicate that the wa-ter must be emptied out.To empty the water out please readchapter «At the end of the pro-gramme».

9.5 Setting the STAIN option(button 3)Set this option to treat heavily soiled orstained laundry with stain removerThe appliance extends the main washphase and intensifies the stain actionphase. The relevant light illuminates.

This option is not available witha temperature lower than 40°C.

If you wish to perform a programme withthe stain option, pour stain remover intocompartment .

9.6 Setting the TIME SAVINGoption (button 4)This option allows you to modify thewashing time, automatically proposedby the appliance.Press button 4once

DAILY The relative pilot lightcomes on.The washing duration willbe reduced to wash dailysoiled laundry.

Press button 4 twice

SUPERQUICK

The relative pilot light re-mains lit.The washing duration willbe reduced to wash lightlysoiled laundry or itemsused or worn for a shorttime.

The display shows the decreased wash-ing time.

9.7 Setting the EXTRA RINSEoption (button 5)This appliance is designed for saving wa-ter.However, for people with a very delicateskin (allergic to detergents) it may benecessary to rinse the laundry using anextra quantity of water (extra rinse).The appliance will perform some addi-tional rinses.

9.8 Starting the programme(button 8)Press the button 8 to start the pro-gramme. The corresponding red pilotlight stops blinking.The pilot light A is on to indicate thatthe appliance starts operating.The pilot light C is on to indicate thedoor is locked.Press the button 8 to interrupt a pro-gramme which is running. The corre-sponding red pilot light starts blinking.Press the button 8 again to restart theprogramme from the point at which itwas interruptedIf you have chosen a delayed start withbutton 9, the machine will begin thecountdown.If you set an incorrect option, the yellowpilot light of the button 8 blinks for 3times. The display shows the messageErr for some seconds.

9.9 Setting the DELAY START(button 9)Press this button again an again to setthe required delay.The display shows the set delay time val-ue (up to 20 hours) for some seconds,then it shows the duration of the pro-gramme again.Set the delay before you press the but-ton 8.You can delay the wash programme canbe delayed from 30 min - 60 min - 90min, 2 hours and then by 1 hour up to amaximum of 20 hours.Adding items after you have set thedelay (throughout the delay time thedoor will be locked):• Press the button 8 to put the machine

in pause• Add the laundry, close the door .• Press the button 8 again.Setting the delayed start:• Set the programme and the required

options.• Set the delay start.• Press the button 8: the appliance

starts its hourly countdown.The programme will start after the se-lected delay has expired.

Cancelling the delayed start:• Press the button 8 to set the washing

machine to PAUSE;• Press the button 9 once until the dis-

play shows the symbol ’;• Press the button 8 again to start the

programme.

You can change the set delay on-ly after you set the washing pro-gramme again.

The Delay Start can not be selected withDRAIN programme.

9.10 Altering an option or arunning programmeIt is possible to change some optionsbefore the programme carries it out. Be-fore you make any change, you mustpress the button 8 to pause the appli-ance.Changing a running programme is possi-ble only by resetting it.

Turn the programme dial to and thento the new programme position.Press the 8 button again to start the newprogramme. The washing water in thetub will not emptied out.

9.11 Interrupting aprogrammePress the button 8 to interrupt a pro-gramme which is running, the corre-sponding light starts blinking. Press thebutton again to restart the programme.

9.12 Cancelling a programme

Turn the selector dial to to cancel aprogramme which is running. Now youcan select a new programme.

9.13 Opening the doorWhen the machine is working andthrough the delay time, the door islocked.If, for any reason, it is necessary to openit, firstly press the button 8 to set themachine to pauseIf the light C after a few minutes goesoff, the door can be opened.If the light C stays on and the door re-mains locked, this means that the ma-chine is already heating or that the waterlevel is too high. In this case the doorcan not be opened.If you cannot open the door but youneed to open it, turn the programme di-al to to switch the machine off. Aftera few minutes the door can be opened(pay attention to the water level andtemperature !) .After closing the door, it is necessary toset the programme and the optionsagain. Press button 8 to start the pro-gramme again.

9.14 At the end of theprogrammeThe machine stops automatically. The pi-lot light of button 8, the pilot lights Aand C go off. A blinking will appear onthe display.If you have set a programme or an op-tion that ends with water in the tub, thelight C remains lit. The door is locked.

The water must be emptied out beforeopening the door. During this time thedrum continues to turn at regular inter-vals until water drain.Follow the below instructions to emptyout the water:• Turn the programme selector dial to

• Set the DRAIN or SPIN programme• Reduce the spin speed, if needed• Press the button 8• When the programme has finished the

display shows a blinking . The pilotlight C goes off. The door can beopened.

Turn the programme selector dial to to switch the machine off.Remove the laundry from the drum andcarefully check that the drum is empty. Ifyou do not intend to carry out anotherwash, close the water tap. Leave thedoor open to prevent the formation ofmildew and unpleasant smells.Stand by : once the programme has fin-ished after a few minutes the energy sav-ing system will be enabled. The bright-ness of the display is reduced. By press-ing any button the appliance will comeout of the energy saving status.

10. DAILY USE - DRYING

10.1 Drying onlyThe recommended load size is 3 kg forcottons and linen, and 2 kg for syntheticitems.

It is also possible to dry up to 4kg of cotton items (see the «Dry-ing Programme » table).

The water tap must be open and thedrain hose must be positioned in thesink or connected to the drain pipe.1. Load the laundry.2. Select a spin cycle at the maximum

spin speed allowed for the type oflaundry in order to obtain the bestdrying performances.

3. Set the drying programme for Cot-tons or Synthetic in the Drying sec-tor of the programme dial.

4. Press button 6 to set the dryingtime. Press this button again andagain until the time you want ap-pears on the display.For Cottons you can set a dryingtime from 10 minutes to 250 minutes(hours 4.10).For Synthetic you can select a dryingtime from 10 minutes to 130 minutes(hours 2.10).Every time you press this button thedrying time increases by 5 minutes.

Note! The programme time will au-tomatically increase by a few mi-nutes.

5. Press button 8 to start the pro-gramme.After the programme has started,the time remaining is updated everyminute.

If you set only 10 minutes of dry-ing phase with the timed dryingbutton, the appliance performsonly a cooling phase.

6. At the end of the drying pro-gramme, some acoustic signals

sound. A blinking appears on thedisplay.The pilot light B, and C and the lightof the button 8 go off.At this point, begins an anti-creasephase, which lasts for about 10 mi-nutes. During this time the light C ison. The door cannot be opened.

If you need to open the door be-fore or during the anti-creasephase or to interrupt it, press anybutton or turn the programmedial to any programme position(except O.The door can be opened aftersome minutes. (In any case donot try to open the door if it islocked!) .

7. Turn the selector dial to the O posi-tion to switch the machine off.

8. Remove the laundry.Note!The different type of cottons (towelling,sheets, shirts, and so on) or any laundryitems rolling up during the spinningphase may result in partial dryness.In the exceptional case that at the end ofthe cycle the laundry remains slightlywet, we suggest that you unfold the rol-led up items, redistribute them evenly inthe drum and select an additional dryingcycle of 20-30 minutes.

10.2 NON-STOP programme:Washing and Timed dryingThe recommended load size is 3 kg forcotton and 2 kg for synthetic.

It is also possible to dry up to 4kg of cotton items (see the «Dry-ing Programme » table).

CAUTION!Do not use a dosing device/ballwhen carrying out a washingand drying programme.

1. Load the laundry.2. Add detergent and fabric softener.3. Switch the machine on: turn the se-

lector dial to the required washingprogramme/fabric.

4. Press the relevant buttons to set therequired options.

If possible, do not set a spinspeed lower than that proposedby the appliance to avoid toolong a drying time therefore sav-ing energy. In any case the low-est values you can select are 900r.p.m. for cottons and syntheticsand 700 r.p.m. for delicate fab-rics. The reduction of the spin

speed is only possible after se-lecting drying.

5. Press the button 6 to set the dryingtime. When selecting a «non-stopprogramme» the pilot lights A and Billuminate.The DRYING TIME value appears onthe display for some seconds, thenthe entire duration of the washingand drying cycle appears.

If you set a washing programmeand only 10 minutes of drying cy-cle by pressing the button 6, thetotal duration of the cycles dis-played includes also the unroll-ing and the cooling phase.

6. Press the button 8 to start the pro-gramme. After the programme hasstarted, the time remaining is upda-ted every minute.

7. At the end of the programme, followthe indications given in the previouschapter. Then, turn the selector tothe O position to switch the machineoff.

8. Remove the laundry.

10.3 Fluff in the garmentsDuring the WASHING AND/OR DRYINGPHASE, certain types of fabric, assponge-cloth, wool, sweatshirt, could re-lease fluff.The released fluff could stick to the fab-rics during the next cycle.This drawback increases with technicalfabrics.To prevent the lint in your clothes, it isrecommended:• To do not wash dark fabrics after you

washed and dried light colored fabrics(new sponge, wool, sweatshirt espe-cially) and vice versa.

• To air-dry this type of fabrics whenthey are washed the first time.

• To clean the filter.• Perform one or more rinse cycles to

wash the drum between the washingand drying of fabrics with different col-ors.

• After the drying phase, thoroughlyclean the empty drum, the gasket andthe door with a wet rag.

11. HINTS AND TIPS

11.1 The laundry load• Divide the laundry in: white, coloured,

synthetics, delicates and wool.• Obey the washing instructions that are

on the laundry care labels.• Do not wash together white and col-

oured items.• Some coloured items can discolour

with the first wash. We recommendthat you wash them separately for thefirst times.

• Button up pillowcases, close zippers,hooks and poppers. Tie up belts.

• Empty the pockets and unfold theitems.

• Turn inside out multilayered fabrics,wool and items with painted illustra-tions.

• Remove hard stains.• Wash with a special detergent heavy

soil stains.• Be careful with the curtains. Remove

the hooks or put the curtains in awashing bag or pillowcase.

• Do not wash in the appliance :– Laundry without hems or with cuts– Underwired bras.– Use a washing bag to wash small

items.• A very small load can cause balance

problems with the spin phase. If thisoccurs, adjust manually the items inthe tub and start the spin phase again.

11.2 Stubborn stainsFor some stains, water and detergent isnot sufficient.We recommend that you remove thesestains before you put the items in theappliance.Special stain removers are available. Usethe special stain remover that is applica-ble to the type of stain and fabric.

11.3 Detergents and additives• Only use detergents and additives

specially made for washing machines.• Do not mix different types of deter-

gents.• To help the environment, do not use

more than the correct quantity of de-tergent.

• Obey the instructions that you find onthe on packaging of these products.

• Use the correct products for the typeand colour of the fabric, the pro-gramme temperature and the level ofsoil.

• If you use liquid detergents, do not setthe prewash phase.

• If your appliance has not the deter-gent dispenser with the flap device,add the liquid detergents with a dos-ing ball.

11.4 Water hardnessIf the water hardness in your area is highor moderate, we recommend that youuse a water softener for washing ma-chines. In areas where the water hard-ness is soft it is not necessary to use awater softener.To know the water hardness in your area,contact your local water authority.Obey the instructions that you find onthe packaging of the products.Equivalent scales measure the waterhardness:• German degrees (°dH).• French degrees (°TH).• mmol/l (millimol for each litre - inter-

national unit for the hardness of wa-ter).

11.7 Drying cycle durationThe drying time can change dependingon:• speed of the last spin• dryness level• type of laundry• weight of the load sizeGENERAL TIPSRefer to the «Drying programmes» tableto find the average drying times.The experience will help you to dry thelaundry in a more correct way. Take noteof the duration drying time of the cyclesdone before.To avoid the static charge at the end ofthe drying cycle:• Use fabric conditioner in the washing

cycle.• Use special fabric conditioner for tum-

ble dryers.When the drying programme is comple-ted remove the laundry in a short time.

11.8 Additional dryingIf, at the end of the drying programme,the laundry is still damp, set a short dry-ing cycle again.

WARNING!To avoid creases of fabrics orshrinks of the clothing do notover dry the laundry.

12. CARE AND CLEANINGWARNING!

Disconnect the appliance from the mainssupply before you clean it.

12.1 DescalingThe water we use contains limescale. If itbecomes necessary, use a water softenerto remove limescales.Use a special product made for washingmachines. Obey the instructions that you

find on the packaging of the manufactur-er.Do this separately from the laundrywash.

12.2 External cleaningClean the appliance only with soap andwarm water. Fully dry all the surfaces.

CAUTION!Do not use alcohol, solvents orchemical products.

12.3 Door seal

Regularly examine the seal and removeall objects from the inner part.

12.4 DrumRegularly examine the drum to preventlimescale and rust particles.Only use special products to remove rustparticles from the drum.To do this:

• Clean the drum with special productfor stainless steel.

• Start a short programme for cotton atthe maximum temperature with asmall quantity of detergent.

12.5 Detergent dispenser

12.6 Drain pumpThe pump should be inspected regularlyand particularly if:• the appliance does not empty and/or

spin;• the appliance makes an unusual noise

during draining due to objects such assafety pins, coins etc. blocking thepump;

• a problem with water draining is de-tected (see chapter “Troubleshoot-ing” for more details).

WARNING!Before unscrewing the pumpcover, switch the appliance offand remove the mains plug fromthe socket.

Proceed as follows:1. Unplug the appliance.2. If it is necessary, wait until the water

has cooled down.

3. Place a container close to the pumpto collect any spillage.

4. Release the emergency emptyinghose (B), place it in the containerand remove its cap cover.

5. When no more water comes out,unscrew the pump cover (A) by turn-ing it anti-clockwise and remove thefilter. Use pliers, if necessary.Always keep a rag nearby to dry upany water spillages when removingthe cover. Clean the filter under atap, to remove any traces of fluff.

6. Remove foreign bodies and flufffrom the filter seat and from thepump impeller.

7. Check carefully whether the pumpimpeller rotates (it rotates jerkily). Ifit doesn’t rotate, please contactyour Service Centre.

8. Put the cap back on the emergencyemptying hose and place the latterback in its seat.

9. Replace the filter into the pump byinserting it correctly into the specialguides. Screw the pump cover firmlyby turning it clockwise.

WARNING!

When the appliance is in use and de-pending on the programme selectedthere can be hot water in the pump.Never remove the pump cover during awash cycle, always wait until the appli-ance has finished the cycle, and is emp-ty. When refitting the pump cover, en-sure it is securely re-tightened so as tostop leaks and young children beingable to remove it.

12.7 The inlet hose filter andthe valve filterIt could be necessary to clean the filterswhen:• The appliance does not fill with water.• The appliance fills with the water for a

long time.• The indicator of button 8 flashes and

the display shows the related alarm.Refer to 'Troubleshooting'.

WARNING!Disconnect the mains plug fromthe mains socket.

To clean the water inlet filters:

1. Close the water tap.2. Remove the water inlet hose from

the water tap.3. Clean the filter in the inlet hose with

a stiff brush.

4. Remove the inlet hose behind theappliance.

5. Clean the filter in the valve with astiff brush or a towel.

6. Install again the inlet hose. Makesure that the couplings are tight toprevent leakages.

7. Open the water tap.

12.8 Emergency emptying outIf the water is not discharged, proceedas follows to empty out the appliance:1. pull out the plug from the power

socket;2. close the water tap;3. if necessary, wait until the water has

cooled down;4. place a bowl on the floor;5. place the end of the emergency

emptying hose into the bowl;6. Remove its cap. The water should

drain by gravity into the bowl. Whenthe bowl is full, put the cap back onthe hose. Empty the bowl;Repeat the procedure until waterstops flowing out;

7. clean the pump if necessary as previ-ously described;

8. replace the emergency emptyinghose in its seat after having pluggedit;

9. screw the pump again.

12.9 Frost precautionsIf the machine is installed in a placewhere the temperature could drop be-low 0°C, proceed as follows:1. close the water tap;2. unscrew the water inlet hose from

the tap;3. place the end of the emergency

emptying hose and that of the inlethose in a bowl placed on the floor.Let water drain out;

4. screw the water inlet hose back on;5. put the cap on the emergency emp-

tying hose again;6. reposition the emergency emptying

hose.

By doing this, any water remaining in themachine is removed, avoiding ice form-ing and consequently damage to the ap-pliance.

When you use the machine again, makesure that the ambient temperature isabove 0°C.

13. TROUBLESHOOTINGCertain problems are due to lack of sim-ple maintenance or oversights, whichcan be solved easily without calling outan engineer. Before contacting your lo-cal Service Centre, please carry out thechecks listed below.During machine operation it is possiblethat the yellow pilot light of button 8blinks, one of the following alarm codesappears on the display and at the sametime some acoustic signals sound every20 seconds to indicate that the machineis not working:

• : problem with the water supply• : problem with the water drain-

ing• : door open• : anti-flooding system has activa-

tedOnce the problem has been eliminated,press the button 8 to restart the pro-gramme. If after all checks, the problempersists, contact your local Service Cen-tre.

There is water on thefloor:

Too much detergent or unsuitable detergent (cre-ates too much foam) has been used.• Reduce the detergent quantity or use another

one.Check whether there are any leaks from one of theinlet hose fittings. It is not always easy to see this asthe water runs down the hose; check to see if it isdamp.• Check the water inlet hose connection.The drain or the inlet hose is damaged.• Replace it with a new one.The cap on the emergency emptying hose has notbeen replaced or the filter has not been properlyscrewed in after cleaning action.• Refit the cap on the emergency emptying hose or

screw the filter fully in.

Spinning starts late orthe machine does notspin:

The electronic unbalance detection device has cut inbecause the laundry is not evenly distributed in thedrum. The laundry is redistributed by reverse rota-tion of the drum. This may happen several times be-fore the unbalance disappears and normal spinningcan resume. If, after some minutes, the laundry is stillnot evenly distributed in the drum, the machine willnot spin.• The laundry load is perhaps to little, add more

items, redistribute the load manually and then se-lect the spinning programme.

The machine does notdry or does not dryproperly:

The machine is fitted with a type of motor whichmakes an unusual noise compared with other tradi-tional motors. This new motor ensures a softer startand more even distribution of the laundry in thedrum when spinning, as well as increased stability ofthe machine.

No water is visible inthe drum:

Machines based on modern technology operatevery economically using very little water without af-fecting performance.

The display shows thealarm code :

Anti-flooding system has activated.• Pull out the plug from the power socket, close the

water tap and contact the Service Force Centre.

The laundry is full ofdifferent colored fluff:

The fabrics washed in the previous cycle releasedfluff of a different colour.• The drying phase helps to eliminate some fluff.• Clean the clothes with a fluff remover.In case of an excessive amount of fluff in thedrum repeat the following procedure twice:• Thoroughly clean the empty drum, the gasket and

the door with a wet rag.• Perform a rinse cycle.• Put a wool or piled fabric rag inside the drum.• Perform a drying cycle of 10 minutes.• Remove the old wool cloth.Now you can wash other garments.

14. INSTALLATION

14.1 Unpacking

1. Use the gloves. Remove the externalfilm. If necessary, use a cutter.

2. Remove the cardboard top.3. Remove the polystyrene packaging

materials.

4. Remove the internal film.

5. Open the door. Remove the poly-styrene piece from the door sealand all the items from the drum.

6. Put one of the polystyrene packag-ing elements on the floor behindthe appliance. Carefully put downthe appliance with the rear side onit. Make sure not to damage the ho-ses.

7. Remove the polystyrene protectionfrom the bottom.

8. Pull up the appliance in vertical po-sition.

9. Remove the power supply cable andthe drain hose from the hose hold-ers.

10. Remove the three bolts. Use the keysupplied with the appliance.

14.2 Positioning and levelling

• Install the machine on a flat hard floor.• Make sure that air circulation around

the machine is not impeded by car-pets, rugs etc.

• Carefully level by screwing the adjust-able feet in or out.

• After having levelled the appliance,tighten the lock nuts.

• The appliance must be level and sta-ble.

Never place cardboard, wood orsimilar materials under the ma-chine to compensate for any un-evenness in the floor.

If it is impossible to avoid positioningthe machine next to a gas cooker orcoalburning stove, an insulating panelcovered with aluminium foil on the sidefacing the cooker or stove, must be in-serted between the two appliances.

Before placing it on small tiles, apply arubber coating.The water inlet hose and the drain hosemust not be kinked.

CAUTION!The machine must not be instal-led in rooms where the tempera-ture can drop below 0°C.

14.3 The inlet hose

• Connect the hose to the appliance.Turn the inlet hose only left or right.Loose the ring nut to set it in the cor-rect position.

• Connect the water inlet hose to thecold water tap with 3/4 thread.

CAUTION!Make sure that there are no leaksfrom the couplings.

Do not use an extension hose ifthe inlet hose is too short. Con-tact the service centre for the re-placement of the inlet hose.

Water-stop device

The inlet hose has a water stop device.This device prevents water leaks in thehose because of its natural ageing. Thered sector in the window «A» shows thisfault .If this occur, close the water tap andcontact the service centre to replace thehose.

14.4 Water drainageThere are different procedures to con-nect the drain hose:

With the plastic hose guide.

• On the edge of a sink.• Make sure that the plastic guide can-

not move when the appliance drains.Attach the guide to the water tap orthe wall.

• To a stand pipe with vent-hole.Refer to the illustration. Directly into adrain pipe at a height of not less than60 cm and not more than 100 cm. Theend of the drain hose must always beventilated , i.e. the inner diameter ofthe drainpipe must be larger than theexternal diameter of the drain hose.

Without the plastic hose guide.

• To a sink spigot.Refer to the illustration. Put the drainhose in the spigot and tighten it with aclip. Make sure that the drain hosemakes a loop to prevent that remain-ing particles go in the appliance fromthe sink.

• Directly to a built-in drain pipe in theroom wall and tighten it with a clip.

You can extend the drain hose tomaximum 400 cm. Contact theservice centre for the other drainhose and the extension.

res de transporte.• Guarde los pasadores de transporte.

• No seque prendas que se hayan lim-piado con productos químicos indus-triales.

• Asegúrese de que no haya mecherosde gas ni cerillas en los bolsillos de lasprendas.

1) El «programa Algodón ECO» a 60°C con una carga de 7 kg es el programa dereferencia de los datos incluidos en la etiqueta energética de conformidad con lasnormas CEE 92/75.

Los datos de consumo de estegráfico se indican a título orienta-tivo, y pueden variar dependien-do de la cantidad y tipo de pren-das, la temperatura del agua deentrada y la temperatura am-biente.

8. ANTES DEL PRIMER USO1. Para activar el sistema de desagüe,

vierta 2 litros de agua en el compar-timento de lavado principal del dosi-ficador de detergente.

2. Coloque una pequeña cantidad enel compartimento de lavado princi-

pal del dosificador. Ajuste e inicie unprograma para algodón a la tempe-ratura más alta sin colada. De estaforma se elimina toda la posible su-ciedad del tambor y de la cuba.

9. USO DIARIO - LAVADO

9.1 Carga de la colada1. Abra la puerta del aparato.2. Introduzca las prendas en el tambor,

una por una. Sacuda las prendas an-

tes de colocarlas en el aparato. Ase-gúrese de no colocar demasiada co-lada en el tambor.

3. Cierre la puerta del aparato.

9.2 Introducción del detergente y los aditivos

MAX

El compartimento del detergente para la fase de prelavado, elprograma de remojo y la función de manchas.Añada el detergente para el prelavado, el remojo y el quita-manchas antes de iniciar el programa.

El compartimento de detergente para la fase de lavado.Si utiliza detergente líquido, introdúzcalo inmediatamente antesde iniciar el programa.

Compartimento para aditivos líquidos (suavizante, almidón).Ponga el producto en el compartimento antes de iniciar el pro-grama.

Es el nivel máximo para la cantidad de aditivos líquidos.

9.3 Selección del programa(selector 1)Gire el selector de programas hasta de-jarlo en el programa deseado.El selector de programas determina el ti-po de ciclo de lavado (por ejemplo, nivelde agua, movimiento del tambor, núme-ro de aclarados) y la temperatura de la-vado en función del tipo de colada.

El piloto del botón 8 empezará a parpa-dear.El selector de programas puede girarsehacia la derecha y hacia la izquierda.

9.4 Ajuste de la velocidad deCENTRIFUGADO (tecla 2)Cuando selecciona un programa, el apa-rato propone de forma automática la ve-locidad de centrifugado máxima permiti-da para dicho programa.Pulse esta tecla repetidamente paracambiar la velocidad de centrifugado. Seenciende el piloto correspondiente.AGUA EN LA CUBA: el agua del últimoaclarado no se descarga para que los te-jidos no se arruguen. Cuando el progra-ma finaliza, en la pantalla aparece un intermitente.Se enciende el piloto de la PUERTA.El piloto de la tecla 8 se apaga. El inicio diferido no puede seleccionarsecon el programa Descarga.

9.10 Cambio de una opción ode un programa en marchaEs posible cambiar cualquier opción an-tes de que el programa la ejecute. Antesde realizar cambios, es necesario pulsarla tecla 8 para poner el aparato en pau-sa.El cambio de un programa en marchasólo puede realizarse reajustándolo.Gire el selector de programas hasta y, seguidamente, hasta la posición delnuevo programa.Vuelva a pulsar la tecla 8 para iniciar elnuevo programa. El agua de lavado dela cuba no se vaciará.

9.11 Interrupción de unprogramaPulse la tecla 8 para interrumpir el pro-grama en marcha; el piloto correspon-diente empieza a parpadear. Vuelva apresionar el botón para reiniciar el pro-grama.

9.12 Cancelación de unprograma

Gire el selector de programas hasta para cancelar un programa una vez queestá en marcha. Después puede selec-cionar otro programa.

9.13 Apertura de la puertaLa puerta está bloqueada mientras la la-vadora está funcionando o con el iniciodiferido activado.Si necesita abrirla por cualquier motivo,pulse primeramente la tecla 8 para po-ner el aparato en pausa.Si la luz C se apaga en unos minutos,puede abrir la puerta.Si la luz C sigue encendida y la puertapermanece bloqueada, la máquina yaestá en fase de calentamiento o el nivelde agua es demasiado alto. En este casono se puede abrir la puertaSi no puede abrir la puerta pero es indis-pensable hacerlo, gire el selector deprogramas hasta la posición para

apagar la máquina. Transcurridos unosminutos podrá abrir la puerta (presteatención al nivel del agua y a la tem-peratura). .Cuando cierre la puerta, tendrá que vol-ver a ajustar el programa y las opciones.Pulse la tecla 8 para iniciar de nuevo elprograma.

9.14 Al finalizar el programaEl aparato se para automáticamente. Elpiloto de la tecla 8 y los pilotos A y C seapagan. En la pantalla parece un in-termitente.Si se ha seleccionado un programa u op-ción que finaliza dejando agua en la cu-ba, el piloto C permanecerá encendido.La puerta está bloqueada. Es necesariovaciar el agua antes de abrir la puertaDurante este periodo de tiempo, el tam-bor sigue girando a intervalos regulareshasta que se drena el agua.Siga las instrucciones que se indican acontinuación para vaciar el agua:• Gire el selector de programas hasta

• Seleccione el programa DESCARGA oCENTRIFUGADO

• Si es necesario, reduzca la velocidadde centrifugado.

• Pulse la tecla 8.• Cuando el programa finaliza, en la

pantalla aparece un intermitente. Laluz del piloto C se apaga. Se puedeabrir la puerta.

Gire el selector de programas hasta para apagar la máquina.Retire las prendas del tambor y cercióre-se de que el tambor queda vacío. Si nova a realizar otro lavado, cierre la tomadel agua. Deje la puerta abierta para evi-tar la aparición de moho y olores desa-gradables.Espera: tras terminarse el programa ytrascurridos algunos minutos, se habilitael sistema de ahorro energético. El brillode la pantalla disminuye. Presione cual-quier tecla para desactivar el sistema deahorro de energía del aparato.

10. USO DIARIO - SECADO

10.1 Sólo secadoLa carga máxima recomendada es de 3kg para tejidos de algodón y lino y de 2kg para sintéticos.

También es posible secar hasta 4kg de tejidos de algodón (con-sulte la tabla «Programas de se-cado»).

El grifo debe estar abierto y la man-guera de desagüe debe colocarse enla pila o conectarse a la tubería de de-sagüe.1. Cargue la ropa.2. Para obtener los mejores resultados,

seleccione un ciclo de centrifugadoa la velocidad máxima permitida pa-ra el tipo de colada.

3. Seleccione el programa de secadopara Algodón o Sintéticos en el sec-

tor Secado del selector de progra-mas.

4. Pulse el botón 6 para ajustar el tiem-po de secado. Pulse este botón re-petidamente hasta que aparezca eltiempo que desee en la pantalla.Para los tejidos de algodón puedeelegir un tiempo de secado de 10 a250 minutos (4.10 horas).Para los tejidos sintéticos puede ele-gir un tiempo de secado de 10 a 130minutos (2.10 horas).Cada pulsación del botón aumentael tiempo de secado en 5 minutos.Nota: El tiempo del programa se in-crementará automáticamente en al-gunos minutos.

5. Pulse la tecla 8 para iniciar el progra-ma.

Una vez que se ha iniciado el pro-grama, el tiempo restante se actuali-za cada minuto.

Si ajusta sólo 10 minutos de fasede secado con la tecla de tiempode secado, el aparato sólo ejecu-ta una fase de enfriamiento.

6. Al final del programa de secado, seemiten algunas señales acústicas. En

la pantalla parpadea .El piloto B y C y la luz del botón 8 seapagan.En este momento comienza la faseantiarrugas, que dura unos 10 minu-tos. Durante este tiempo, la luz C es-tá encendida. La puerta no se puedeabrir.

Si necesita abrir la puerta antesde la fase antiarrugas o durantela misma, o si quiere interrumpir-la, pulse cualquier botón o gireel selector de programas a cual-quier posición (a excepción deO).Transcurridos unos minutos esposible abrir la puerta. En cual-quier caso, no fuerce nunca lapuerta si está bloqueada. .

7. Gire el selector de programas hastaO para apagar la máquina.

8. Retire las prendas.Nota:El resultado depende de los distintos ti-pos de algodón (toallas, sábanas, cami-sas, etc.) o de la disposición de las pren-das durante la fase de centrifugado.En el caso poco probable de que la ropasiga húmeda al final del ciclo de secado,sugerimos que despliegue las prendasenrolladas, las distribuya uniformementeen el tambor y seleccione después un ci-clo de secado adicional de 20 a 30 minu-tos.

10.2 Programa SIN PAUSAS:Lavado y secado por tiempoLa carga máxima recomendada es de 3kg para tejidos de algodón y de 2 kg pa-ra sintéticos.

También es posible secar hasta 4kg de tejidos de algodón (con-sulte la tabla «Programas de se-cado»).

PRECAUCIÓNNo utilice dispositivos de dosi-ficación de detergente para losprogramas de lavado y secado.

1. Cargue la ropa.2. Añada el detergente y el suavizante.3. Encienda la máquina: gire el selector

hasta el programa de lavado/tejidoque desee.

4. Pulse los botones correspondientespara ajustar las opciones que desee.

Siempre que sea posible, noajuste una velocidad de centrifu-gado inferior a la propuesta porel electrodoméstico, pues así evi-tará que el tiempo de secado seademasiado largo y ahorrará ener-gía. En cualquier caso, los valo-res más bajos que pueden selec-cionarse son 900 rpm para pren-das de algodón y sintéticos y 700rpm para tejidos delicados. Lareducción de la velocidad decentrifugado sólo es posible des-pués de seleccionar el secado.

5. Pulse el botón 6 para ajustar el tiem-po de secado. Al seleccionar un“programa sin pausas”, los pilotos Ay B se encienden.El valor del TIEMPO DE SECADOaparece en la pantalla durante unossegundos, y a continuación aparecetoda la duración del lavado y el ciclode secado.

Si ajusta un programa de lavadoy sólo 10 minutos de ciclo de se-cado pulsando la tecla 6, la dura-ción total que se muestra de losciclos incluye también la fase dedesenrollado y enfriamiento.

6. Pulse el botón 8 para iniciar el pro-grama. Una vez que se ha iniciado elprograma, el tiempo restante se ac-tualiza cada minuto.

7. Una vez finalizado el programa, sigalas instrucciones indicadas en el ca-pítulo anterior. A continuación, gireel selector de programas hasta Opara apagar el aparato.

8. Retire las prendas.

10.3 Pelusa en las prendasDurante la FASE DE LAVADO Y SECA-DO algunos tipos de tejidos como toa-llas, lana o sudaderas, podrían liberarpelusas.La pelusa podría adherirse a los tejidosen el siguiente ciclo.Este inconveniente aumenta con los teji-dos técnicos.Para evitar pelusas en sus prendas, se re-comienda lo siguiente:• No lavar tejidos oscuros tras haber la-

vado y secado tejidos claros (sobre to-

do toallas, lana y sudaderas) y vicever-sa.

• Secar al aire este tipo de tejidos la pri-mera vez que los lave.

• Para limpiar el filtro.• Realice uno o varios ciclos de aclarado

para lavar el tambor entre el lavado yel secado de tejidos con diferentescolores.

• Después de la fase de secado, limpiea fondo el tambor vacío, la junta y lapuerta con un paño húmedo.

11. CONSEJOS

11.1 Cargar la colada• Divida la colada en: ropa blanca, ropa

de color, ropa sintética, prendas deli-cadas y prendas de lana.

• Siga las instrucciones de lavado quese encuentran en las etiquetas de lasprendas.

• No lave juntas las prendas blancas yde color.

• Algunas prendas de color puedendesteñir en el primer lavado. Se reco-mienda lavarlas por separado la pri-mera vez.

• Abotone las fundas de almohadas ycierre las cremalleras, los ganchos ylos broches. Ate las correas.

• Vacíe los bolsillos y despliegue lasprendas.

• Dé la vuelta a las prendas de varias ca-pas, de lana y con motivos pintados.

• Retire las manchas difíciles.• Lave con detergente especial las man-

chas difíciles.• Tenga cuidado con las cortinas. Quite

los ganchos o coloque las cortinas enuna bolsa para lavadora o funda de al-mohada.

• No lave en el aparato:– Prendas sin dobladillos o desgarra-

das– Sujetadores con aros.

– Use una bolsa para lavadora para la-var las prendas pequeñas.

• Una carga muy pequeña puede pro-vocar problemas de desequilibrio enla fase de centrifugado. Si esto ocurre,ajuste manualmente las prendas en lacuba e inicie de nuevo la fase de cen-trifugado.

11.2 Manchas difícilesPara algunas manchas, el agua y el de-tergente no son suficientes.Se recomienda eliminar estas manchasantes de colocar las prendas en el apara-to.Existen quitamanchas especiales. Utiliceel quitamanchas especial adecuado al ti-po de mancha y tejido.

11.3 Detergentes y aditivos• Utilice solo detergentes y aditivos es-

pecialmente fabricados para lavado-ras.

• No mezcle diferentes tipos de deter-gentes.

• Para respetar el medio ambiente, noponga más detergente del necesario.

• Siga siempre las instrucciones que seencuentran en el envase de estos pro-ductos.

• Use los productos adecuados para eltipo y color del tejido, la temperaturadel programa y el grado de suciedad.

• Si utiliza detergente líquido, no ajustela fase de prelavado.

• Si el aparato no tiene el dosificador dedetergente con dispositivo de com-puerta, añada los detergentes líquidoscon una bola dosificadora.

11.4 Dureza aguaSi la dureza del agua de su zona es altao moderada, se recomienda usar un des-calcificador de agua para lavadoras. Enlas zonas en las que la dureza del agua

sea baja, no es necesario utilizar un des-calcificador.Póngase en comunicación con las autori-dades correspondientes para conocer ladureza del agua de su zona.Siga siempre las instrucciones que se en-cuentran en el envase de los productos.Medida de la dureza del agua en escalasequivalentes:• Grados alemanes (°dH).• Grados franceses (°TH).• mmol/l (milimol por litro, unidad inter-

No seleccione un programa de secadopara los siguientes tipos de ropa:– Prendas muy delicadas.– Cortinas sintéticas.– Prendas de lana y seda.– Ropa con adornos metálicos.– Medias de nailon.– Colchas.– Mantas.– Edredones.– Anoraks.– Sacos de dormir.

– Tejidos con restos de lociones o lacaspara el cabello, quitaesmaltes o simi-lares.

– Artículos que contengan gomaespu-ma o materiales similares a ella.

11.6 Etiquetas de las prendasPara el secado de la ropa, siga las indi-caciones de las etiquetas de los fabri-cantes:• = La prenda puede secarse en se-

11.7 Duración del ciclo desecadoEl tiempo de secado puede variar de-pendiendo de:• la velocidad del último centrifugado

gado en la máquinaCONSEJOS GENERALESConsulte en la tabla «Programas de se-cado» los tiempos de secado medios.La experiencia le ayudará a secar la ropade forma más correcta. Anote la dura-ción de los ciclos de secado ya finaliza-dos.Para evitar la carga estática al final del ci-clo de secado:• Utilice el suavizante en el ciclo de lava-

do.

• Utilice un suavizante especial para se-cadoras de tambor.

Cuando haya finalizado el programa desecado, retire la ropa lo antes posible.

11.8 Secado adicionalSi las prendas siguen húmedas al finaldel programa, vuelva a seleccionar un ci-clo de secado corto.

ADVERTENCIAPara evitar la formación dearrugas o que la ropa se enco-ja, no la seque en exceso.

12. MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZAADVERTENCIA

Desconecte el aparato de la fuente dealimentación antes de limpiarlo.

12.1 DescalcificaciónEl agua corriente que utilizamos suelecontener cal. Si es necesario, use un des-calcificador de agua para eliminar la cal.Use un producto especial para lavado-ras. Siga siempre las instrucciones quese encuentran en el envase del fabrican-te.

Hágalo de forma separada del lavado dela colada.

12.2 Limpieza del exteriorLimpie el aparato solo con agua templa-da y jabón. Seque completamente todaslas superficies.

PRECAUCIÓNNo utilice alcohol, disolventes niotros productos químicos.

12.3 Junta de estanqueidad de la puerta

Examine periódicamente la junta y ex-traiga todos los objetos de la pieza inte-rior.

12.4 TamborExamine periódicamente el tambor paraevitar la formación de cal y partículas deóxido.Utilice únicamente productos especialespara eliminar la partículas de óxido deltambor.

Proceda de la siguiente manera:• Limpie el tambor con un producto es-

pecial para acero inoxidable.• Inicie un programa corto para algodón

a la temperatura máxima con una pe-queña cantidad de detergente.

gue;• el aparato presente un ruido extraño

durante la descarga porque haya ob-jetos, como imperdibles, monedas,etc., que obstruyan el filtro;

• se detecte un problema con el desa-güe del agua (consulte el capítulo“Solución de problemas” para obte-ner más información).

ADVERTENCIAAntes de desatornillar la tapa dela bomba, apague el aparato ydesenchúfelo de la toma de co-rriente.

Proceda de la siguiente manera:1. Desconecte el enchufe de la toma

de corriente.2. Si es necesario, espere hasta que el

agua se enfríe.

Cuando deje de salir agua, desen-rosque la tapa del filtro (A) girándo-la hacia la izquierda y retire el filtro.Utilice alicates si fuera necesario.Tenga siempre a mano un trapo pa-ra secar el agua que se derrame alextraer la tapa. Limpie el filtro bajoel grifo para eliminar los restos depelusas.

6. Retire los cuerpos extraños y limpielas pelusas del filtro y del rotor.

7. Asegúrese de que el rotor del filtrogira (gira con sacudidas). Si no gira,póngase en contacto con el serviciotécnico.

8. Tapone de nuevo la manguera dedesagüe de emergencia y coloquela manguera en su sitio.

9. Vuelva a colocar el filtro en la bom-ba insertándolo correctamente enlas guías especiales. Enrosque la ta-pa de la bomba firmemente girán-dola hacia la derecha.

ADVERTENCIA

Cuando la lavadora está en marcha, de-pendiendo del programa seleccionado,puede haber agua caliente en el filtro.Nunca extraiga la tapa del filtro duranteun ciclo de lavado; espere siempre aque la lavadora haya terminado el ciclo yesté vacía. Al volver a colocar la tapa delfiltro, asegúrese de apretarla firmementepara impedir que se produzcan fugas yque los niños puedan sacarla.

12.7 El filtro del tubo deentrada y el filtro de la válvulaPodría ser necesario limpiar los filtroscuando:

• El aparato no carga agua.• El aparato llena con agua durante mu-

cho tiempo.• El indicador de la tecla 8 parpadea y

la pantalla muestra la alarma corres-pondiente. Consulte "Solución deproblemas".

ADVERTENCIADesenchufe el aparato de la to-ma de red.

Limpieza de los filtros de entrada de agua:

1. Cierre la toma de agua.2. Retire las tomas de entrada de agua

de los grifos.3. Limpie el filtro del tubo de entrada

con un cepillo rígido.

4. Retire el tubo de entrada situadodetrás del aparato.

5. Limpie el filtro de la válvula con uncepillo rígido o una toalla.

6. Vuelva a colocar el tubo de entrada.Cerciórese de que las conexionesestán bien apretadas para evitar fu-gas.

7. Abra el grifo.

12.8 Descarga de emergenciaSi la lavadora no descarga, proceda dela siguiente manera para vaciarla:1. desconecte el enchufe de la toma

de corriente;2. cierre la toma de agua;3. si es necesario, espere a que el agua

se enfríe;4. coloque un recipiente en el suelo;5. coloque el extremo de la manguera

de vaciado de emergencia en el re-cipiente;

6. Quite el tapón de la manguera. Elagua debería verterse al recipientepor acción de la gravedad. Cuandoel recipiente se llene, vuelva a tapo-nar la manguera. Vacíe el recipiente;Repita el procedimiento hasta quedeje de salir agua;

7. si es necesario, limpie la bomba co-mo se ha descrito anteriormente;

8. vuelva a colocar la manguera dedescarga de emergencia en su lugaruna vez que la haya taponado;

9. vuelva a colocar el filtro

12.9 Medidas anticongelaciónSi la lavadora se instala en un lugar en elque la temperatura podría descender

por debajo de 0°C, tome las siguientesprecauciones1. cierre la toma de agua;2. desatornille las tomas de entrada de

agua de los grifos;3. coloque el extremo de la manguera

de descarga de emergencia y el ex-tremo de la manguera de entradade agua en un recipiente deposita-do en el suelo. Deje salir el agua;

4. vuelva a apretar la manguera de en-trada de agua;

5. vuelva a colocar el tapón de la man-guera de vaciado de emergencia;

6. coloque en su posición la manguerade vaciado de emergencia.

Si hace esto extraerá el agua que quedeen la máquina y evitará que se formehielo y el electrodoméstico sufra desper-fectosCuando vuelva a utilizar la máquina, ase-gúrese de que la temperatura ambientees superior a 0°C

13. SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMASAlgunos problemas, que pueden deber-se sencillamente a falta de mantenimien-to o a descuidos, pueden resolverse sinnecesidad de llamar al servicio técnico.Antes de ponerse en contacto con elcentro de servicio técnico local, realicelas comprobaciones indicadas en la listasiguiente.

Durante el funcionamiento de la lavado-ra, es posible que el piloto amarillo delbotón 8 parpadee, que aparezca en elindicador uno de los códigos de error si-guientes y que al mismo tiempo se emi-tan algunas señales acústicas cada 20 se-gundos para indicar que la lavadora noestá funcionando

da de agua.El filtro de la toma de entrada o el filtro de la válvulade entrada están obstruidos. • Limpie los filtros de entrada del agua. (Consulte la

sección "Limpieza de los filtros de entrada deagua").

La puerta no está bien cerrada. • Cierre bien la puerta.

La lavadora se llena deagua, pero se vacía deinmediato:

El extremo de la manguera de desagüe está dema-siado bajo.• Consulte el apartado correspondiente de la sec-

ción "Desagüe".

La máquina no desa-gua, no centrifuga oambas cosas:

La manguera de desagüe está doblada o retorcida.

• Compruebe la conexión de la manguera de desa-güe.

El filtro de descarga está obstruido. • Limpie el filtro de descarga.Se ha seleccionado una opción o programa que fi-naliza con agua dentro de la cuba o que elimina to-das las fases de centrifugado.• Seleccione el programa de descarga o de centri-

Hay agua en el suelo:

Se ha utilizado demasiado detergente o un deter-gente inadecuado (que produce demasiada espu-ma).• Reduzca la cantidad de detergente o utilice otro.Compruebe si hay fugas en alguno de los racores dela manguera de entrada de agua. No siempre resul-ta fácil detectar las fugas, ya que el agua desciendepor la manguera; compruebe que el racor no estámojado.• Compruebe la conexión de la manguera de entra-

da de agua.La manguera de desagüe o de entrada está dañada.• Sustitúyala por una nueva.No se ha vuelto a colocar el tapón de la manguerade desagüe de emergencia o no se enroscado el fil-tro adecuadamente después de la operación de lim-pieza.• Vuelva a colocar el tapón en la manguera de desa-

güe de emergencia o enrosque el filtro hasta eltope.

Los resultados del la-vado no son satisfacto-rios:

Se ha utilizado poco detergente o un detergenteinadecuado.• Aumente la cantidad de detergente o utilice otro.No se han tratado las manchas difíciles antes de la-var la ropa.• Emplee productos comerciales para tratar las

manchas difíciles.No se ha seleccionado la temperatura adecuada.• Compruebe si ha seleccionado la temperatura co-

rrecta.Se han metido demasiadas prendas.• Reduzca la carga.

La puerta no se abre:

El programa todavía no ha terminado.• Espere hasta que finalice el ciclo de lavado.No se ha desbloqueado el cierre de la puerta.• Espere a que la luz PUERTA se apague.Hay agua en el tambor.• Seleccione el programa de descarga o centrifuga-

do para vaciar el agua.

El aparato vibra o hacemucho ruido:

No se han quitado los pasadores ni el material deembalaje utilizados para transportarla.• Compruebe la correcta instalación del aparato.No se han ajustado las patas• Compruebe que el aparato está correctamente ni-

velado.Las prendas no están uniformemente distribuidas enel tambor.• Vuelva a distribuir las prendas.Es posible que haya muy pocas prendas en el tam-bor.• Introduzca más prendas.

El centrifugado se re-trasa o la máquina nocentrifuga:

El dispositivo que detecta desequilibrios en la cargaha interrumpido el proceso debido a que las pren-das no están uniformemente distribuidas en el tam-bor. La ropa se redistribuye mediante la rotación in-versa del tambor. Es posible que el tambor gire va-rias veces antes de que deje de detectarse el pro-blema y se reanude el ciclo de centrifugado normal.Si la carga no se ha distribuido de manera uniformetranscurridos unos minutos, la lavadora no centrifu-ga.• Es posible que tenga poca carga. Añada más

prendas, redistribuya la carga manualmente y, acontinuación, seleccione el programa de centrifu-gado.

La máquina no seca ono lo hace adecuada-mente:

No se ha seleccionado el tiempo de secado.• Seleccione el tiempo de secado.La toma de agua está cerrada. • Abra el grifo.El filtro de descarga está obstruido. • Limpie el filtro de descarga.La máquina está sobrecargada.• Reduzca la carga.El tiempo de secado o el grado de secado seleccio-nados no son adecuados para la prenda en cuestión.• Seleccione el tiempo de secado o el grado de se-

cado adecuados para dicha prenda.

La lavadora emite unruido extraño:

La máquina incorpora un tipo de motor que emiteun ruido extraño comparado con el de otros moto-res tradicionales. Este nuevo motor garantiza un ini-cio más suave e incluso una mejor distribución de lasprendas en el tambor durante el centrifugado, asícomo una mayor estabilidad de la máquina.

No se ve agua en eltambor:

Las máquinas de tecnología moderna están diseña-das para economizar y emplean muy poca agua, sinque ello afecte al rendimiento.

La pantalla muestra elcódigo de alarma :

Sistema anti-fugas activado.• Desconecte el enchufe de la toma de corriente,

cierre la toma de agua y póngase en contacto conel centro de servicio técnico.

La colada está llena depelusas de diferentecolor:

Las prendas que lavó en el ciclo anterior dejaron pe-lusas de un color diferente.• La fase de secado ayuda a eliminar algo de pelu-

sa.• Limpie las prendas con un quitapelusas.En caso de que haya una cantidad excesiva de pe-lusa en el tambor, repita el siguiente procedi-miento dos veces:• Limpie a fondo el tambor vacío, la junta y la puerta

con un paño húmedo.• Realice un ciclo de aclarado.• Coloque un paño de lana o terciopelo en el inte-

rior del tambor.• Realice un ciclo de secado de 10 minutos.• Saque el paño de lana.Ahora ya puede lavar otras prendas.

14. INSTALACIÓN

14.1 Desembalaje

1. Utilice los guantes. Retire la películaexterna. Si es necesario, utilice uncúter.

2. Retire la cubierta de cartón.3. Retire los materiales del embalaje

de poliestireno.

4. Retire la película interna.

5. Abra la puerta. Retire la pieza depoliestireno de la junta de la puertay todos los elementos del tambor.

6. Extienda uno de los materiales deembalaje de poliestireno en el suelodetrás del aparato. Baje con cuida-do el aparato sobre el lado poste-rior. Tenga cuidado para no dañarlos tubos.

7. Retire la protección de poliestirenode la base.

8. Levante el aparato hasta la posiciónvertical.

9. Retire el cable de alimentación y eltubo de desagüe de los soportes delos tubos.

10. Suelte los tres pernos. Utilice la llavesuministrada con el aparato.

11. Extraiga los separadores de plásti-co.

12. Coloque los tapones de plástico enlos orificios. Encontrará los taponesen la bolsa del manual de instruc-ciones.

ADVERTENCIARetire todo el embalaje y los pa-sadores de transporte antes deinstalar el aparato.

Se recomienda guardar el emba-laje y los pasadores de transpor-te para cuando traslade el apara-to.

14.2 Colocación y nivelado

• Instale la máquina en el suelo sobreuna superficie plana y rígida.

• Asegúrese de que el aire circula co-rrectamente alrededor de la lavadoraaunque haya moqueta, alfombras, etc

• Para nivelar la máquina, enrosque odesenrosque las patas ajustables

• Apriete las tuercas de seguridad cuan-do haya terminado de nivelar el apara-to.

• El aparato debe estar nivelado y esta-ble.

No coloque cartón, madera niotros materiales similares bajo lamáquina para compensar losdesniveles del suelo.

Si no se puede evitar situar la máquinacerca de una cocina de gas u horno decarbón, debe insertarse entre los doselectrodomésticos un panel aislante cu-bierto con hoja de aluminio por la caraexpuesta a la cocina u hornoSi va a colocarla sobre losetas pequeñas,aplique primero un revestimiento de go-ma

La manguera de entrada de agua y lamanguera de descarga no deben estarretorcidas

PRECAUCIÓNLa máquina no debe instalarseen estancias en las que la tempe-ratura pueda descender por de-bajo de 0°C

14.3 El tubo de entrada

• Conecte el tubo al aparato. Gire el tu-bo de entrada solo a la derecha o a laizquierda. Suelte la tuerca anular paraajustarla en la posición correcta.

• Conecte el tubo de entrada de aguafría a una toma de agua fría con roscade 3/4.

PRECAUCIÓNAsegúrese de que no haya fugasde los acoplamientos.

No utilice ningún tubo de exten-sión si el tubo de entrada es de-masiado corto. Póngase en con-tacto con el servicio técnico paracambiar el tubo.

Dispositivo antifuga

El tubo de entrada tiene un dispositivoantifuga. Este dispositivo evita las fugasde agua del tubo por el desgaste nor-mal. El sector rojo de la ventana «A»muestra este fallo.Si esto ocurre, cierre el grifo de agua ypóngase en contacto con el servicio téc-nico para cambiar el tubo.

14.4 DesagüeHay distintos procedimientos para co-nectar el tubo de desagüe:

Con la guía de plástico.

• En el borde de un fregadero.• Asegúrese de que la guía de plástico

no se mueva cuando el aparato desa-gua. Acople la guía al grifo de agua oa la pared.

• A un tubo vertical con orificio de venti-lación.Consulte la ilustración. Directamenteen un tubo de desagüe a una alturamínima de 60 cm y máxima de 100 cm.El extremo de la manguera de desa-güe debe quedar siempre al aire; esdecir, el diámetro interior de la tuberíade desagüe debe ser mayor que eldiámetro exterior del tubo de desa-güe.

Sin la guía de plástico.

• A un desagüe.Consulte la ilustración. Coloque el tu-bo de desagüe en el sumidero y ase-gúrela con una brida. Asegúrese deque el tubo de desagüe realiza un bu-cle para evitar que las partículas res-tantes entren en el aparato desde elfregadero.

• Directamente a un tubo de desagüeintegrado en la pared de la habitacióny apretando con una brida.

Puede extender el tubo de desa-güe hasta un máximo de 400 cm.Póngase en contacto con el ser-vicio técnico para el otro tubo dedesagüe y la extensión.

• BisagrasPara poner las bisagras es preciso ta-ladrar dos orificios (diámetro de 35mm, fondo 12,5 - 14 mm dependiendodel fondo del mueble) por el lado in-terno de la puerta. La distancia entrelos centros de ambos orificios debeser de 416 mm.La distancia entre el borde superior dela puerta y el centro del orificio de-pende de las medidas del mueble ad-yacente.Las bisagras se fijan a la puerta con lostornillos para madera 1 y 2 (fig. 4) quese suministran con el aparato.

• Montaje de la puertaFije las bisagras al aparato con los tor-nillos M5x15. Las bisagras se puedenajustar para compensar cualquier posi-ble variación de grosor de la puerta.Para alinear bien la puerta es precisoaflojar el tornillo, ajustar la puerta yapretar de nuevo el tornillo A (fig. 5).

• ContraimánEl aparato está preparado para llevarun cierre magnético instalado en lapuerta.
