ALLAH’s command

to “fulfill all obligations” is a general command and it applies to all obligations and covenants, regardless of whether those obligation are with Muslims or to non-Muslims. The command applies as long as the obligation itself is not contrary to the dictates of Islamic Law.

Abu Hurairah reported, The Prophet, peace and blessing of Allah be on him, said:

“Whoever contracts a debt intending to repay it, Allah will pay it on his behalf, and whoever contract a debt intending to waste it, Allah will bring him to ruin.”
